you just shut your filthy ALL GLORY TO THE HYPNOTOAD

Manson had supporters too, a lot of them if I recall correctly. I'm sure Recon will be around shortly to correct me if I'm wrong. Some people just like to watch the world burn, knowing that they could never be the person that threw the match.

And since we're going all out on personal finance, while you're opening up new accounts, find a separate bank with a decent interest rate on cash savings (here's a hint, they're all going to be online-only). Open a savings account there, and have just a little bit from your check direct deposited in there, like $100 or whatever you can live without. Since the savings account is in a completely different bank, it's going to take at minimum 24 hours to 2 days to withdraw any cash from there (which should make you take a good long look at what you're doing and why), and after a couple of years you should have a few grand in there just sitting pretty. Savings is a marathon, not a sprint. Or you can just say fuck it and head out to Vegas. I give no fucks either way. -

Thanks for the love. I moved the direct deposit change and the new ATM card around, less risky if you already have the physical card in your hand and then change direct deposit than the other way around and leave yourself open for the (unlikely, but possible) possibility that the DD will arrive in the new account before you get your hands on a ATM card. -

Getting back to the bank switching thing, I'm willing to bet that I've made more than one payroll administrator grumble my name when I email them asking for my direct deposit to be tweaked. Moving your DD isn't that big of a deal, and if you have half a functioning brain to get all the pertinent details from your existing billpay accounts and move them to the new bank (and not be a complete idiot and close the old account before you open the new), then I would hope you'd have already done it by now. It's a fairly simple process: Go to new bank, open new checking account Register for online account access, verify you have access to all newly opened accounts Log onto old bank, establish transfer link between new and old account (will take 2 days) While you're waiting for the transfer link to be done, start copying online billpay info from old to new bank Transfer link is done, transfer enough money to put a dollar towards every bill you've set up on new bank to verify you didn't screw anything up By this point, you should have the ATM/debit card for new bank, start carrying this around along with old bank debit card. If you don't, do not proceed further until you do. Change direct deposit to new bank First direct deposit posts to new bank, figure out how much you need to leave in old bank to cover outstanding bills and outstanding transactions. Leave $100 (or whatever you feel comfortable with as a buffer in case you forgot anything) as a balance on the old account, transfer rest to new bank Use new bank exclusively After a few weeks, or whenever you feel comfortable that anything that was outstanding would post to old bank, walk into your local branch, tell them to go fuck themselves, collect your leftover balance (if any) and walk out like a boss. Yeah, it seems like a lot, but it's very straightforward, simple to implement, and works for online-only or brick-and-mortar banks. -

Because that's what unemployment benefits are there for. I wholeheartedly agree with ScubaCinci, and over the last 2 years I've been building up a emergency fund that I'm happy to say will fund my expenses for about 6 months. However, if I'm laid off or otherwise eligible for unemployment benefits, you bet your ass I'm going to take them, on top of what I already have stashed away. Sure, I didn't factor them in my planning since it would be silly to make that kind of a assumption, but I'd take them and so would you. I don't usually speak in absolutes, but anyone who says differently is flat-out lying. -
Gingrich got caught doing this too, he had 1.3 million followers and about 103,000 real breathing people. http://gawker.com/5826960/

Also, I can't speak for Home Depot, but Lowe's will price-match internet pricing, as long as shipping charges (or non-charges) are taken into account. I pricematched my oven from AJMadison and got them to drop $250 from the cost.

Fuck. I just did some research into these and may still end up getting a set (opted to replace stove/dishwasher instead, they were pretty well due). My W/D sits in a closet right in my living room, so my thought was to get front loads that I could stack to make space for some laundry that otherwise would have been all over the living room floor. The seals I don't have a huge issue with as they don't require ripping apart the entire appliance to fix, but the mold and bearing failures I've got a problem with. Can you elaborate some more?

NCAA sanctions are in. 1) $60 million from PSU to go towards sexual abuse victim advocacy ($60 mil = gross revenues for one season of PSU football); 2) No post-season or bowl games for four years; 3) Reduction in scholarships from 25 to 15; 4) athletes at PSU can transfer and still immediately compete at any other program; 5) 1998-2011 records vacated; 6) Five years probation; 7) Various athletics & academics monitoring systems to be implemented. Personally, I think it's a good start, but it should have been a 1 year football suspension THEN this. I'm especially peeved people are making such a big deal out of the vacating of wins, all it's doing is just giving a big FU to the Paterno legacy, notwithstanding that he still played and won those games. Nice to see that the NCAA is giving the players (whom are innocent in all this) a way out without penalty to continue playing.

The next good call should be that Penn State gets to sit this season and hopefully next season out in NCAA football. The disease there is systemic and it's infected every level of Penn State sports that is connected to or benefits from the football program. The best thing to do to ensure that both the victims have justice and the University learns from and properly corrects this crime is to burn the whole thing down and rebuild.

Gross overreaction.

First off, your blog sucks. Secondly, please, regale me with tales of how you would have drawn and fired on the shooter in a packed theater full of screaming people, some of whom are wearing costumes that may or may not be covering their face, disoriented and watery-eyed from teargas, and with the movie soundtrack playing loud gunfire all around you? In ideal situations like a parking lot, where you have a clear view of the asshole and a full understanding of what's going on, I can understand since those situations are easily trained for. In this PARTICULAR INSTANCE, even with a concealed weapon, I'm willing to bet that none of you would have been able to do a damn thing without endangering the life of a innocent bystander.

Great. I stopped giving a fuck about 5 posts ago. We get it, you're super, super busy and can't be bothered with all that movie hullabaloo. Like I said, the latest Tyler Perry movie is still in theaters, it's nice, short, and brainless. Your opinion has been noted (again, and again), let the adults talk about the adult movie.
