  1. I agree. I don't know if there's a line between higher displacement motorcycles and cars, but for cars/trucks, in order to get a license plate you either have to a) be lucky enough to get one direct from the government when they release a yearly quota of them, at a fixed cost of about US$4000 a piece or b) buy one from the open market, at a variable cost of much more than US$4000. Every car I saw had the license plate practically riveted to the back of the car. Trucks/commercial vehicles had the license plate numbers painted onto the rear gates. Electric mopeds/scooters below 250cc either don't have this kind of restriction, or the plates are much cheaper to obtain. Still, with the tacked on cost of at least US$4000, there are cars everywhere.
  2. I do have a vice pretty well mastered... http://www.movieweb.com/dvd/DVhsIjiofw5rkj/head-in-a-vice
  3. If the motor vehicle laws are anything like Shanghai, no, they won't. Licensing for motorcycles is determined by the engine displacement, much like India seems to be. As I recall, 250cc is the largest they will go that's economical, anything else and you're venturing into some very expensive territory. Take that plus the absolute crushing amount of scooters/electric mopeds/traffic in general and you won't see a formation of Harleys anytime soon on Shanghai roads.
  4. My Fluke Microscanner Pro, AMP cable crimper (with 4/6 position RJ-11/12 die, 4 position handset die, and 8 position RJ-45 die), and Fluke cable stripper (best I've ever owned) laugh at your puny tools. I can't be a tool snob with mechanics tools, but you bet your ass I am with networking tools.
  5. They have their own enforcement arm. They will involve local LEO's if they have to, but they have an enforcement department. It could be (pulling this out of my ass) that the FAA enforcers are federal marshals, but I have absolutely nothing to back that up and could be completely wrong.
  6. and if you get approached by anyone with the name Moller, be sure to punch him in the face.
  7. good set of skates here, and my size even. someone pick these up before I have another set sitting next to my Vapors. also, are these bakeable? If so, and if you've already done it, if I remember correctly you can get 2 bakes out of a boot before the plastic can't be molded anymore.
  8. I haven't met you in the flesh yet, but with as much reactionary jingoistic stuff you post on here, if you were anything like that in real life I shudder to think at the type of cop you would be.
  9. I was getting ready for a long-winded post, but I'm too tired for that shit. It's time to raise the white flag. Take it in to someone or part that bitch out.
  10. I stand vindicated that someone on 4 wheels can wreck on that corner as well. I'll sit down now.
  11. If he is then he kept it to himself, as it should be.
  12. Seems a little long-winded, eh? Maybe if you got half the row to hold it up...
  13. from the intakes on the tail, it looks like a 05-06.
  14. yep, skulls got his huffy done earlier this year. Apparently it lost power over the winter, he had a sad.
  15. That strikes me as odd. 15.2v seems awfully high to send to a battery that's used to 13v, or perhaps 14v with low amps. Sounds like it's electrical, I'm going to assume you're cleaned the carbs to the point that they have ceased to become a factor. Where's the A/F screw at on the carbs? I know on the post-Kat's, there's a brass plug that needed to be drilled out in order to get to the A/F screw, then you can start all kinds of hell playing with that. Make absolutely sure that screw is back to stock.
  16. What kind of communist are you, of course it's ee-gor!
  17. He does it because it's sterile and he likes the taste. Bump for a good dude.
  18. ah, frolf. I played once at Bowling Green's course, found it to be about as boring as regular golf.
  19. Exactly. I actually named them, the 91/30 is Ivan the Terrible and it's little brother M44 is Igor the Ill-Tempered.
  20. i require my personal ball-washer.
  21. The Mosin's are Russian bolt-action rifles, my 91/30 was made in 1946. Pic here: The M44 is a carbine, or shorter barreled version of the 91/30. Pic here: Yes, the bayonet is still attached to the M44, and fully functional. The actions interchange between the two rifles. I even have the pouch, sling, most if not all of the cleaning stuff (just one set, not two), and I may have the bayonet for the 91/30 if I root around deep enough. Essentially you're getting about $330 worth of guns, a 15 dollar ammo box, the cleaning rods (I bought new rods, I don't use the ones that come with the rifle) for your Sigma. I'd say that's pretty bitchin.
  22. I'll personally vouch for these guys, I went there in '08 for my first tandem jump. Everyone was really cool, very professional and HIGHLY trained. If you are planning a group thing, my only advice is if you want to buy a video package (and I highly recommend for first-timers), keep the group down. We had about 8 people in our group, and all of them bought the videos. Not only did the instructors do the jumps with you, but they also cut and put together the videos afterwards which made for a very long evening of waiting around for DVD's.
