Sounds like he may have already been dead by the time the other hikers were able to get to the river and flag down the rafters. Either that or the Colorado River is saltwater (not sure).

I'm thinking a full set of V35 bags and a E470 top case with backrest. That included gloss paint which jacked up the cost.

Here's my bike on a trip through OH/PA/MD/WV/VA. Rode two-up for a total of about 1000 miles. Nelson Rigg expandable tank bag and a set of NR soft bags. I also have a NR expandable tailbag that can strap to the saddlebags and sit on the passenger seat when I'm ridin solo. I'm debating whether I want to spend around $1200 on a full set of Givi hard luggage, plus however much to get heated grips, lower passenger pegs, and a -1 front sprocket/speedohealer. The other option is a brand new FJR1300 =)

Welcome, I spent my first 19 years living in Brunswick. I live in Cuyahoga Falls now, but my family and a few friends still live in Brunswick.

I'm planning a trip to Monongahela in two weeks with my Dad. I'm either going to take 250 from New Philadelphia and meet my Dad in Morgantown on Friday night, or meet him at his house in Woodbridge, VA on Thursday night, that was we can come down through the Shenandoah National Park/Skyline Drive. My Dad has rode plenty through WV and he is a big fan. I'm looking forward to it.

Ugh, definitely not my first choice of turbo. It's called an "18G" for short. If it did dyno 400hp I don't see that turbo pushing much higher. If you get rid of that wing, the car doesn't look as bad as I expected now that I can see the pictures. Atleast the kit was installed nicely. You're going to need to try and figured out as much as possible about the mods. No DSM'r is going to buy that for $6k without a complete mod list. Your best bet will be people like you, who aren't "enthusiasts" but just want a cool looking quick car. Ebay/craigslist/autotrader are your best bets over any of the DSM/local forums. DSM'rs are known for being cheap asses who always shop at the junk yard before looking elsewhere. When buying car it's customary for us to insult the seller, insist that he's asking why to much, and then low ball the crap out of them. Good luck with the sale though, it is a nice car.

If 408 horsepower is accurate it's prolly some sort of 50trim. Could be a 20g.

I've had 3 DSMs, but once I moved to bikes I knew there was no going back. All of mine were 1g's. First one was a total POS FWD turbo laser with a few cheap mods. Second was a clean stock '94 GSX. Last one was a fairly heavily modded 16g AWD laser. Never got it tuned right before I sold it. The car had done 13.0, but only a 13.4 with me driving. It had all of the mods to do mid 12.5's with a tune.

I can't see the pictures (I'm at work) but I'm not sure I want to lol. I'd hate see a clean low mileage 2g get riced out, especially if it's actually quick. What turbo is it running? And Dweezel, most likely it is a GM MAF with a translator plugged in, but again, I can't see the pictures. They are pretty common whenever you want to vent your blow off for the loud "PSHHH" sound without causing other issues.

Also, as long as you are willing to make it a quick/easy transaction, I'd be willing to work on the price.

Thanks for the tip likwid. I bought the bike in November, had it stored until spring, but bought my FZ6 in March. I haven't had any reason to ride the Maxim when I have a brand new bike.

If you can sell it over the winter, and have a way to tow a bike, keep an eye out for good deals before the spring rush hits.

I learned on a 2007 GS500F. I have to agree, it is the perfect bike to learn on if you don't want to upgrade right away.
