  1. It's gonna be like 50? Get some long johns and a baklava and you'll be sweating haha!
  2. Looking at the weather, I am up for a longer ride for sure. I just need to keep it around or under 200 miles, my FZ6 will be due for it's first maintenance.
  3. I'm gonna be out a bit today between 11-3. I'll be testing out my 82' Maxim a bit and then prolly hop on my FZ6. If anyone feels like riding, give me a text. 4 40 .5 5 4.27 21. If I'm not on my bike I'll call/text back. It's going to be pretty cold though, so dress warm haha.
  4. I hope your not talking about me haha. I'm still a newbie. I've only got about 2000 miles under my belt. Not ready to be leading anyone anywhere. The part that I live by (south of peninsula, by the penn/stow/cfalls border) gets boring pretty quick. With the weather it looks like we'll have for Sunday we should plan a longer route.
  5. I'm in. 11:30am @ QSL sounds like a plan. I live right by the CVNP system, so I've rode most of those roads. There fun but not amazing. Got to be careful due to road conditions. It's definitely not a spot to be dragging knees lol. Still fun though. I'm up for going wherever. I've been comfortable riding in the cold 30's on the morning commute, so 55 degrees if perfect. Just dress warm.
  6. I have a FZ6. The bike you are talking about is a FZ6R.
  7. This is why I just bought my '08 FZ6. I'd have loved to get an FZ6R but I couldn't really pass up the deal I got on the leftover '08. I rode this thing for 3 hours yesterday and my back wasn't even the slightest bit sore. My butt was getting a bit uncomfortable, but I just have the stock seat. Going to order a Corbin soon and that should make it much better.
  8. Got a nice ride in today. Left work 2 hours early and rode for about 3 before going to class. This thing is so comfy, the only thing that was a tad sore was my butt from the stock seat. Gonna order a corbin in a few weeks. I've average 85 miles a day since I got this bike on Saturday =)
  9. Welcome! I live up in the falls and I ride a new FZ6. Definitely up for some riding!
  10. It can't be that hard, I know in my teenage years I'd hit the halfway point to that mark pretty often.
  11. If you or anyone else finds themselves in the Akron area, I'd be glad to ride with you. Doesn't matter to me whether you ride a cruiser or sportbike, as long as it's got less than four wheels.
  12. I'll most likely be out Friday night and Saturday mid-day. Probably some on Sunday too.
  13. I live in Cuyahoga Falls. I go to KSU part-time evenings/weekend. I'm not a stunter, and whil I enjoy the twisties, I don't push it too hard, and it'd be cool to have someone to ride with that won't get me wrecked or arrested haha. I plan on riding alot this season, especially until I get out of the bike's break-in period.
  14. Hey guys, I just now found a link to this forum and I wanted to sign up. I live in Cuyahoga Falls right near State 8. I started riding last season on a 2007 GS500F. Over the winter I bought a 1982 Yamaha Maxim 750 so that the girlfriend had something comfy to ride on. I sold my GS500F a few weekends ago and went to Honda East in Toledo and walked out with a brand new leftover 2008 Yamaha FZ6 for a ridiculously low price. Rode about 160 miles back in 45 degree weather and put another 20 or so on it Sunday. I rode it to work this morning and all my coworkers looked at me like I was crazy (it was about 38 degrees at 7am this morning). I'm loving the bike so far, and I haven't even taken it over 8k rpm. It's so comfortable and I'm pretty sure I can turn it into a two-up sport-tourer with a small amount of money. I'll probably sell my XJ750 mid summer if so. Unfortunately I don't really have any friends that ride, so the only time I get to ride with people is when my Dad comes in from out of town. I would love to do some group rides and meet some new people. I'm pretty excited that I found this site! Here's some pics! The moment I've been waiting for:
