  1. Nice car, good intro and welcome. It could stand to come down about 2.5" though
  2. That'd be my first approach (Clay). As long as it hasn't been there long it's likely not THAT bonded to the paint. Clay bar should work. If not try machine polishing, then wetsanding as a last resort. Andy
  3. Here's a really good way to track your diet. It's a little corny but it works. http://www.myfitnesspal.com Bottom line, when you're loosing weight the thing you need to be the most aware of is counting calories. There's a number you should be having every single day and no more. Once you get the total calorie count down then you should start to focus on what foods make up those calories AND how many meals you're eating to get to your goal. I have about the slowest metabolism of anyone on the face of the earth. Combine that with being Lazy and that's why I was pushing 300lbs in H.S. For me eating 6 small, balanced meals a day is the best way to keep my metabolism up and running at it's best. As stated before, you still have to know your calorie limit and stick to it. Andy
  4. Ha...I'm gonna have to add that one to the website p.s. an old tooth brush really works well for working the PB into all of the little pores of the plastic.
  5. hummm... sorry, I've got no pullers for the p-car. Negative on the PM. I got that one voice mail back a few weeks and that's it. Call me in the AM when I'm at work and I"ll get you that number. Andy
  6. 12/17. I guess I remember something from my old American V8 days.
  7. hummm...I gave away my factory radio pullers for the A4. Not sure I have any for the p-car...but I'll check tonight. IF all else fails I can put you in touch with someone at Byers that will either find you a pair around the shop or sell you a pair from cheap. ...off to search.
  8. PB is one of the older tricks in the book for getting residue out of those pesky textured plastic surfaces. Glad to see you had success with it. Andy
  9. Ha...I still work my "real" job too. That stuff pays for the track time!
  10. Looks like I'm not the only one that is still going to LifeStyle just because it's convenient. If they didn't have a location closest to me at home and at work there's NO WAY I'd still be a member. Their polairs location in particular I'd say that at any given time 50% of the machines are in some sort of dis-repair. They won't fix anything until it is soo broken that it can no longer be used. They've also upped our rates TWICE despite us being in a contract where rates shouldn't change. Neither time have I been able to get them to give us our old rates back. Their target market is fat, middle aged women who they can sucker into selling PT. One of them is always on the machine you want to be using. Not to mention I get no motivation from watching people go through the motions of a workout without really trying. At least at the typical "Meat Head" gyms people are focused and on a mission while they're at the gym. I feel that Motivation tends to rub off on others around them. You don't get that atmosphere at all at LifeStyle. I will say their Sawmill location is "better"...but still shitty. At least it's not nearly as crowded at lunch. Power Shack used to be my favorite gym. There aren't any remotely close to me anymore though.
  11. I went to watch the Aug. 8 (I think) at Mid Ohio which I should have attended and walked away happy that I didn't participate. I counted 39-40 cars in every run group. There were soo many instructors they had to split instructors into 2 groups making 5 groups and to get everyone they're guarantee'd 4th session of the day those sessions were all of 10 minutes each. What was nice to see was the Instructor group and the Beginners groups all seemed to go off without a hitch. However the intermediate group, which is surely where I'd be placed, was a mess of fast and slow people that looked pretty much impossible to avoid for more than about a half lap at a time. ANY track day is better than none though. I've surely attended my fair share of crappy ones that were still better than a day at work or watching from the stands. p.s. How did I not know you were on this board? (I'm Yasmin's husband.) Andy
  12. Agreed, BUT I hope they're limiting the number of entrants to events this year. Last year there were like 5+ organizations selling spots to SCCA PDX events and most of them ended up being way too heavily attended.
  13. Well my wife and I are doing this anyhow so I'll join too. I've lost a good bit of lean mass in the last couple of months being busy / lazy...yet still gained weight AudiOn19's 195/195/175
  14. No. I have the ability do everything under the sun but I refuse to do my own oil changes anymore. I had one too many Exxon quality oil change disasters in my garage to make it worth my while. That and by the time you poor the oil back into bottles and take it to be recycled you're really no further ahead time wise than just having someone else do it who can properly dispose of everything. Hell I'd do it myself down there and still pay them the money for allowing me to use the lift and disposal of the oil for me....just no more messes in my garage Andy
  15. You guys ever heard of these yahoo's...do they do decent work? All kidding aside, they went out of their way to squeeze me in for an oil change on one of their craziest days of the year. Just wanted to say Thanks again and have a happy holiday season you two. Andy

  18. Tell him that car is SMOKIN' hot. I've seen him running around a couple of times. As for your car...leave it.
  19. +1. I've only ever had one fail...but it was enough for me to buy a spare to keep in the car. Go figure 4 years later I've yet to have another issue. Though the Audi BARELY started this morning due to the cold. Might be time for a new battery if that persists since we drove it a couple of times yesterday.
  20. Anyone know a source for cheap plastic bottles w/ caps locally? Looking for 16, 32 oz. etc. I've heard possibly the dollar store but would really appreciate any leads before heading out to find this stuff. Andy
  21. Deal fell through from what I hear.
  22. My old alarm clock had a touchy switch on it to where if you didn't have it set right in the middle of the on position it wouldn't go off. Luckily our dog is pretty set in his schedule and notifies me it's time to wake up before I'm really late in the morning.
