  1. Damn never good to see. Godspeed.
  2. p.s. I set the camera to record my wife's session in the morning and like an idiot left it running which killed the battery. I only ran one session in the afternoon in advanced, if anyone has any video of me I'd love to see it. Andy
  3. Actually, in my opinion the only place I really saw you over-using them was over the top of madness and in the carosel. A little more patience and line corrections in those two locations will solve that and get you through there even faster than you were already going. Gotta hear street tires to know you're using them to their potential...street tires LIKE slip angle to get the most out of them.
  4. Hearing the tires is a good thing when you're learning..it's an auditory indicator where you are and are not using them...or in your case in a couple of spots over-using them when they start to sound like you're chunking the tread off of them
  5. I had to stop watching...not cause it was bad but because I was about to puke from the camera movements!!!
  6. Thank you. I couldn't believe how many people were taking pictures of that poor guys car. It's an unwritten rule you can look but photos are a no no, posting photos of someone's wreck without permission is the ultimate wrong.
  7. Very well driven here BTW. All the proper elements for driving MO well displayed in this video
  8. I said hi to Draco but never knew you guys were also CR members...feel like an ASS now sorry...we were the yellow 911 and silver RX-7 (smokey) parked right near you guys too so we really did have a bit of a CR corral over there.
  9. Audi Club is there 6/22-23 they run a GREAT event, one of my favorites but I'll be out of town. Mid Ohio Region club race weekend is July 5-7. Generally they only allow Advanced Drivers Education people to run these weekends but they're doing a Sunday only DE for lower level drivers. $175 for the single day. NASA is there late July Cincinnati region SCCA has their PDX on 8/9....very similar to the auto interests event we were just at OVR SCCA usually has a PDX day somewhere around the end of august (always the hottest day of the year pretty much guaranteed) GET SOME!
  10. It was a good time yesterday despite the rain. Yasmin was scared to death of my car in the rain...and rightfully so we almost spun out on the back straight and absolutely almost did the T10 spin greg posted above too. She kept it on track though but it rattled her confidence the rest of the day even after it got dry. Despite all that her last session was good, she was starting to "get it" again after a 5 year absense from the track. Sorry to those in the novice group we held up, I tried my best to work the mirrors for her and keep traffic flowing as good as possible.
  11. I will vouch for the fact that this is the nicest STi I've probably ever come across. I've detailed this car twice I and it's always in great shape even before we work on it. Well built, well cared for, excellent example. Sad to see her go, I still regret selling my M3 in the same position as you last year however I also still look back and know it was the right thing to do. Andy
  12. Oh thanks, video of a bunch of 911's going off in the rain is confidence inspiring Actually...there is pretty much no way Yasmin will go out if it's raining, inexperienced driver in difficult to drive car with no driving aids...nope not gonna happen. It's gonna be dry I have confidence
  13. you will learn the rain line really quick or go very slowly otherwise if it rains. Oh..and if it rains it's guaranteed you will have a streem of water running across the track between 2-3, more than likely exiting Keyhole right where you want to put power down AND in thunder valley. Mid Ohio is notorious for not being the grippiest track, it's slick as snot in the rain on the racing line. We ran in rain and snow in april...the track did get red flagged for a bit when the snow was heavy enough to cause visual issues but went back to green shortly after the snow stopped.
  14. +1 Scottrade. I don't do a TON of trading like some of you but I've been happy with what they have to offer.
  15. Marriage didn't fix the problem for me, I bought more stupid shit after getting married not less....more income to go around
  16. cool...we were ther 2 weeks ago and the top group had 34 cars, the next group down had 28 and traffic wasn't bad. We did open passing in instructor group which helps though.
  17. Yasmin was out on 161 last night doing threshold braking drills in sandles Shawn, where's the tech form to download? Not seeing it or not looking hard enough one of the two.
  18. For me....anything that handles well and has approx. 10:1 ratio as far as power to weight is "good enough". The M3 was right at 10:1 GT3 is closer to 9:1 The lighter the better..at 2800 it should be pretty easy to get a really fun car if it's in the 300hp neighborhood. Andy
  19. Yes but it's been like 5 years since she's been in a car on track and she's never driven a rear engine car in a performance environment. Not to put her down but I'm not expecting much pace out of her with all of the new "stuff" going on.
  20. Since Yasmin is driving all I really have to do is make sure I've got some sort of booster seat setup for her as the race seats are a little low for her to see over the wheel. Might swap pads as they're getting thin...doubt she's going to be using them up much though.
  21. I've never used it so I can't really give first hand experience. BUT I've never used a product from Warner Chemicals (Chemical guys, Poorboys, Adams) that I hated. Quality stuff in their lineup.
