I am a fan..and I don't particularly care for the new format. Maybe I need to read up about it more...but even though drivers don't get "eliminated" from the current format they are mathematically eliminated despite still being in the chase The interesting thing is what if that guy 16th in points going in actually wins the chase.

I thought the same thing. Sure does appear one leg is longer than the other

heard some sound clips from Jerez testing...they don't sound very good either. So they're ugly and sound like crap. Hopefully racing is good

Expedient Data Centers - Open opportunities
AudiOn19s replied to AudiOn19s's topic in The Meat Market
Yup. We just finished up a bunch more cross connects for you guys this week. I'm the Project Manager for delivery in te Columbus market -
Can't stand that they went away from a special, high reving NA engine in favor of a tuned "regular" motor. Can't stand the fact it's not called an M3 any longer. They will still sell shit tons of them.

All, Please review the open opportunities at Expedient Data Centers. We are currently looking for a Systems Technician in the Columbus market. Also, the open Systems Engineering roles (Linux / SAN architect and Microsoft System Architect) can sit in any market. They are listed in the market of the hiring manager but the right candidate can be at any of our locations. Please mention Andy Kutscher as your referral when applying. http://www.expedient.com/company/careers-opportunities.php

Story Time...I'm making a change for 2014 too. Need to get back to better habits and healthier life. All my childhood life I was heavy. Start of my senior year in HS I was 285-ish. Lost nearly 110 my senior year and graduated under 180. Did it all wrong, starved and did TONS of cardio and ephedrine and basically never stepped in a gym. Off to college I go and I actually found the gym, enjoyed it quite a bit. Managed to transform myself to carrying a decent amount of mass and staying right around that 180-185 mark but I looked and felt much better. Outside of college desk job and real world take their toll. For the first 13 year or so I manage to find a happy medium. I manage to put on about 1lb per year though...steadily being less and less disciplined with diet and exercise. Don't know what on earth happened in 2013 though...TRAIN WRECK!. This time last year I was 195. When I finally said enough is enough back at the end of December I was 228. over 30 lbs in one year. Worst part is I didn't feel like my lifestyle had really changed that much. However there was stress from selling the house, changing jobs, etc. Guess all that adds up along with more and more unhealthy habits. Started Kris Gethin's program from BodyBuilding.com. Today is day 26. It's nothing new and revolutionary for me but it's something to follow to keep me disciplined and on a determined path. Diet is the hardest for me but it's nice to throw some change into the routine as well. http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/kris-gethin-12-week-daily-trainer.html I'm 5'8 and this morning I was 219, down from a starting weight of 228 My goal by July is to be back around that 185 mark without loosing much mass. I'm not really very strong by most of your standards so hopefully I don't loose too much in the process.

B5's have paint that's on the harder side. Rover is in the middle. Not too bad. The exception to all of this is if you own something that's had paintwork since it left the factory. For the most part that paint is almost always soft. Hard vs. Soft: Hard paint is great to have as an owner. If you have it near perfect and know how to look after it you can go forever without a ton of maintenance work and it will always look nice. Once it's messed up it's difficult to correct. No joke a black C5 like stretch has could easily take 20-30 hours to fully correct once swirled up. Soft paint on the other hand is easy to correct and make look beautiful, but from an owner's perspective if you're not very careful it's pretty easy to mess up and can look like crap in short order needing attention quite often.

Autopia.org Detailingworld.co.uk Autogeek forums are also a great resource READ READ READ. Educate yourself before going out and buying all of the most expensive products and products that are redundant. While the right products can help the end result it's mostly about technique and process. Happy detailing! P.S. Both cars you own have extremely hard paint and are very difficult to do swirl mark and defect correction on. If you buy a polisher and want to learn it may be a good idea to pick up a fender from a junk yard off of say a Honda or Toyota which have softer paint so that you can better see what it takes to get results. Just takes a lot more time and effort on hard paint it's sometimes easier to learn on soft.

+1. Too early to commit for me but this may very well be the way to end the season up there. Let me know if you're in need of instructors for this one too. Andy -

Lost porsche key where to get one cut and programmed besides dealer?
AudiOn19s replied to cdk 4219's topic in Passing Lane
Chris, Do you have another key for this vehicle to copy? You can minimize costs some by putting the components together separately and only needing the local dealer to program it. I source all of my big parts purchases through Suncoast Porsche because they have the best pricing around. I have an account at byers for parts and get a pretty decent break on stuff but often times on big ticket items Suncoast is still better. Blank Key Blade is about $40 Remote head about $160 Any key shop should be able to cut the blade to match an existing if you've got the existing to duplicate for about $20-30 Need the PIWIS factory tool to program the key, I'm not sure I know of anyone in town who's ponied up the money for the factory tool. Expect to pay the standard 1 hour minimum to program the key. $100-ish But...if there are no other keys for the vehicle and you need the dealer to also cut the key based on the VIN you're in their hands for the whole process. Only thing you've got in your favor is that you didn't sign anything. We went through something similar when with my wife when she was sick but they made us sign paperwork that we knew the surgeon's assistant was out of network before hand...and when I mean before hand I mean she's drugged up and ready to be wheeled into surgery and then they present us with the paperwork. Best part was they didn't get everything out the first time so she had to go back in for more surgery 8 days later and you guessed it...once again had to pay for an out of network surgical assistant. I sold my first 911 to cover the out of pocket expenses we had from that ordeal because I didn't want lingering debt from it. Still bitter over it.

He's wrong on the steering column. The '95's had a stupid slow rack they were all that way it wasn't caused by any other factor.

It's Eddie Bello's car. He's been racing it for a decade or more. Serious machine and still a manual transmission car. Google it and you should be able to find a good amount of info. http://cdn.crankandpiston.com/brain/media/2013/01/Porsche-911-Turbo-728x405.jpg

We were discussing that a little amongst ourselves. I'm absolutely with you...I'd love for it not to be a drift fest. Problem is, as I've been told is those polished concrete floors are VERY durable, if you start to open up the surface it will lead to it breaking down over time and turning to junk. That and if you could carry the corner speed those things are capable of it would mean crashes at much higher rates of speed if / when you get it wrong. Just means you have to figure out a different means of driving for that application. No matter what you're doing it's all about maximizing what you've got so I found the challenge to be quite fun.

Went with the SCCA guys last Friday and it was much more fun than I was expecting it to be. I was kinda hoping it would be a letdown so that I wouldn't have to keep going back and spending $$$ but it was a great time.

Sounds like you just need suspension / wheel tire setup on your C5Z to me. Send to Danny Popp, open wallet and you've pretty much got the car you're after. Dr. T drove a 997 T, 996 is a much more "pure" drivers experience and a car with quite a bit more feedback. That said all the turbo's are a little soft so you might need coilovers to get what you're after in a 996 TT. It'll have back seats but they are useless. Doesn't have V8 sound either so double whammy. But go rear drive conversion to drop another 150 lbs (no CTD jokes please this is how the GT2 is configured) combined with coilovers and it's quite a car. E92 M3 comes to mind too...again too soft with stock suspension though, but useable back seat, great trunk, 8200rpm V8 Maybe I'm getting old...but I've done swapped cars and they all take quite a bit of work to make the whole combination work otherwise the car just does one thing well. Even most of the LS sapped RX-7's I've seen at the track seem to go better in a straight line than in the corners. My brother's rotary car is developed as a package and spanks them.

**Update** We had no issues with the heat after they replaced the final valve in the system yesterday. Woke up to a nice 70 degree apartment this morning. On top of that they have an appointment for an outside company to come do a full inspection of everything that's been done on the system next Thursday even if there are no further issues. We did come across a unique new issue last night...for some reason we no have no hot water in the faucets or shower if the heat unit is not running. They were going to address that this morning. Had to turn the heat up for it to circulate hot water in order to take a shower last night. The property manager also told us that she will be covering any extra on our heating / utility bills this month caused from the system continually running and blowing cold air all over the place. AND above and beyond that we are going to work out some sort of agreement yet to be finalized to cover the inconvenience of us having soo many issues over a 30 day period. In the end some civilized but pointed conversations lead me to believe this will be a happy ending without drastic actions.

This is correct...maybe I'm using the wrong term could be wrong. Circulates hot water from the water tank, through a heater core that the air passes over to heat the apartment. Basically just like a car. And you're also correct there is a circulation issue of some sort but they've been purging the lines for a month now. they've replaced the heater core, the pump motor (twice) and all of the valves in the system. Every time they work on it it starts to work again for 12-24 hours and then stops circulating water again for no apparent reason. There is a purge valve in the system and no matter how much water they flow through it it never seems to have any air in the lines when the problem happens. **Update** They've agreed to call in an external company to work on the problem next time it happens.
