I was supposed to do this last year but we ended up getting there the day after the group we went with did it. They all really really enjoyed it. It's spendy but it's an awesome time as I'm told. Go McLaren or F430. Friend drove the GT-R then ended up buying one.

Great points here. They are super responsive, they were there within 30 min on Christmas eve. They just can't seem to solve the issue. Maybe calling an outside company is the best bet.

We sold our house earlier this year and are currently in an apartment while we plan our next build. It's a pretty nice complex, we lived there before we got married 9 years ago and had no issues with it. I know the property manager which is good but bad...bad in this situation because I'm trying not to be a complete consumer prick but I'm at the end of my rope. Our apartments have heat pumps. Basically like the heating system in your car. They use hot water from the water heater, pump it through a heater core and air blows over the heater core to get warm air into the apartment. Some of my terms there may be bad but you get the point. Anyhow. Thanksgiving day we wake up to an apartment that's below 60 degrees. Call maintenance and they come out and do something??? tell me there was a calcium deposit issue and that they've cleaned it up and we're good to go. Heat is working again so I'm ok with it and sent them on their way. Seems like the heat is never very hot but it's warm enough to warm the unit so we're good. 2 weeks later no heat again. This time they replace the pump insert, claim calcium deposits go on their way. Since then...it's about every 3-4 days the heat quits working. They've replaced the pump, the heater core, all of the valves in the system, etc. I regularly wake up to an apartment below 60 degrees blowing ice cold air. My wife hates the cold and obviously can't stand this situation. Finally this week I called and pitched a fit. Told the property manager (again a friends wife) I wanted everything replaced. Water heater, heat pump...all of it. She refuses to replace and says everything is new in there there's no point in replacing. This was Tuesday. Tuesday evening my wife and I return from Christmas Eve dinner to a cold apartment. Emergency maintenance was there until after midnight "fixing" it. Warm all day Christmas day then guess what...wake up to a cold apartment when I got up this morning. I'm at my wits end. I'm trying not to be a dick but I'm completely fed up with the whole situation. I don't even know what to ask of them at this point. I feel like they're throwing parts at it without even understanding the issue. The last 3 repairs I've been told "Everything is new now" so it can't possibly stop working again...It lasts less than 2 days at best now before it quits...it's getting worse not better. The maintenance guys are super super nice, I feel like they really do feel horribly about it, but I feel like they have no clue what the problem really is. They come into the apartment 3-4 times a day to check on it..our dogs manage to get out on half of those occasions which creates even more headaches for us. The whole situation has me about to flip...what would CR do?

Held out forever too thinking rFactor was good enough......wrong. I have playseat / G27 with a load cell brake pedal. Perfect setup for not a ton of money but if I'm being picky I don't like the pedal angle on the playseat. Just need a new tower sorted.

All, Need a little help picking an economical tower to use for iRacing. The last couple of years I've been running on a pretty potent laptop however it's nearly full, not as efficient as it used to be and I'm running into some performance issues with it. iRacing isn't horribly resource intensive but can be in races with lots of cars. Here are the general requirements: PC Computers: •Windows XP*, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8/8.1 •Intel Core 2 Duo or Athlon X2 or higher •NVidia GeForce 7800 / ATI Radeon X1800 or above graphics adapter recommended •2 GB system RAM •6 GB free hard disk space •Microphone optional, required for voice chat Any suggestions on a tower - Amazon is where we get most of our crap so suggestions there would be great. obviously the more powerful the more graphic features I can enable. Not sure where the cost benefit starts to run out on more and more capable machines these days. Thanks, Andy

Finally got tint/plate ticket - cop "let me keep my car"

"The rest of the story" is in another article about him on the dispatch page. His wife reported him. Found images and hidden surveylence camera. -
Mercedes and Nissan joined the series this past year along with Ford who's been there for quite some time. Not sure if the writing was on the wall before that happened or not but it will still be a 3 make series even without Holden.

GT3: - Like to find another 25lbs to take out of the car itself (lightweight 2 piece rotors all around, factory radio delete, muffler bracket deletes) Trying to take 25 lbs out of the driver as well for a total of 50lbs less weight at the track. Also doing GT3 RS rear wing, larger front splitter, front dive planes, opening up vents in the top of the bumper / tilting radiator / sealing off bottom bumper vents for better aero routing of the air through the center radiator in the front. Tune / Filter to match the exhaust I added earlier this season.

Did we cross paths at auto assets tonight? I walked in with a case of beer at around 4:30

Has everyone decided they can be Rauh Welt and put janky looking bolt-on fender flares on whatever and play it off as original?

Correct but he found a creative way of doing it without just not showing up. Having a medical "reason" gives him an out and some hope of collecting the 15 million they reportedly owe him.

Sucks no Kimi due to surgery. Alas I won't be there either as much as I wanted to go. Maybe next year.

Those with driving age children, insurance question
AudiOn19s replied to wnaplay1647545503's topic in Dumpster
completely normal. I wrote insurance rating code for 10 years young male drivers are the highest risk category. Only way around it is to basically be dishonest to your agent / provider and then hope you don't get caught up in that if you have to make a claim. If he moves out and gets his own policy and pays for his own insurance you can drop him from your policy but as long as he's under your roof most companies will insist that he's on your policy as a driver even if you split his car to a different policy. -
Saw you in this on the freeway this morning. Sharp looking car, subtle but stands out.

You could also file married but at the single rate. I mean you're pretty much doing that anyhow but it's easier for my wife and I to just do it that way and not worry about it. sucks yes, but whatever.

when you're poor babies are a source of income from the Government. My wife and I have an interesting perspective on this. I feel like we bust our tails to make things happen for ourselves but we're surrounded with family members (except my brother) who think it's the government's job to take care of them. Those family members look down on us because, unlike the government, I don't do handouts. My sister kept having kids because it meant more income. Those kids are almost old enough where they can start working but it will be working to support her not themselves. My in-laws do the least possible to get on with life and then complain about where they stand in society, they are all getting assistance and none of them work. The only thing they put any effort into is trying to figure out how they can get more out of the government.

Does it have a hitch, is it setup to tow?

+1, get another credit union. Telhio has been great to us. We've also been members of Wright-Patt forever and they are more of a pain to deal with but their rates are great (better than Telhio currently as we're passively shopping for cars too). We bought an 8yr old car through one of them and I think the penalty for > 5 years was only .25-.5 bump in rate.

High HP Street cars: Toyo R888 vs M/T ET Street Radial II
AudiOn19s replied to JuicedH22's topic in Passing Lane
BFG Rival maybe? It's been the hot ticket for the Auto-x crowd. The first tire that came to mind was Nitto NT-01 however the biggest size you can get is 315/30/18. I think most people running R888's would like NT-01's better but R888's is the only REALLY sticky tire that comes in a wide variety of sizes which is why it's probably on most of these cars. From first hand experience on a road course: RA-1. Squirmy at full tread. Faster until they cord unless they get old which is sounds like yours have done. Best if shaved to 4/32 out of the box to avoid the tread squirm period. 40-50 heat cycles on the track easily - best of the bunch in the rain. Basically impossible to still get though except maybe some old 335's still laying around. NT-01 - Similar behavior to RA-1 but better out of the box thanks to 6/32 mold depth and larger tread block design. NOISY on the road. Stickiest right before they cord. Consistent grip throughout the life of the tire. OK in the rain, bad in the rain when they stick the best. R888 - Despite the fact most people will tell you this is the same rubber compound as the tires above, R888 behaves much differently. Same grip as the above out of the box. When They get about 20-25 heat cycles on them they cycle out and grip falls off. They wear very quickly the second half of their life and loose quite a bit of grip. OK in the rain. Hoosier R6 and BFG R1 are the ultimate in stick but suck as street tires and park the car if you get stuck in rain. Guessing if you already have a track set of wheels though that these are out for street tires. It's been 10+ years since I've run a drag radial on anything so maybe they've come a long ways but other than in a straight line I really didn't like the instability feel from the soft sidewalls. -

What size wheels? 18's or 19's. -
He will never sell the car...nor will he ever swap it. His child will get it one day and wonder why the hell his father held onto it. Come to think of it take the turbo off and it will be a great car for the kid to learn to drive in.

Nice ride and I like it in white the best. Can't wait to see what you guys do with it.

I'm biased but when I think bright red I think Guards Red, having owned one it's a good option. In really extreme sun sets you sometimes get a hint of orange but not in the middle of the day. Beauty of it is even in the dark it's still a great bright shade http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q192/ZainoDetail/Picture176.jpg http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q192/ZainoDetail/Picture172.jpg http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q192/ZainoDetail/Picture127.jpg Tornado red that was on the jetta is slightly darker but still on the brighter side of the spectrum. Problem is there's 2 different paint codes for Tornado and one is CRAZY orange. We took a 50/50 shot when we sprayed the fender on the Jetta and the first time it was WAY orange, 2nd paint code was a direct match. I can look it up again if you want.
