Classic, where have you been man!

If any of you are on the fence speak now or forever hold your peace. Based on response yesterday I fully expect the car to be gone very soon. Andy

If this sort of thing matters to you this car has been in the rain maybe 3-4 times in my ownership of 7.5 years, never in snow, it only goes out on the very nicest of days. We have put 24K miles on it in 7.5 years. It does get driven but only when it can be enjoyed. Andy

It's horrible downtown. You're still in Marconi correct? You will barely be able to get any data here after 11am, have to walk over by the railroad tracks to take a call so that you don't risk it dropping. I really have no issues with their service anywhere other then when I'm at work, but it's horrible down here for no particular reason.

With a heavy hart I've decided it's time for the M3 to move onto a new home. Specifics on the car: 2002 BMW M3 Alpine White / Imola Red interior 53k miles 19' Factory forged wheels Premium package (power roof and power everything) Cold weather package (ski bag, headlamp washers, heated seats) Xenon headlights Homelink transmitter Harmon Kardon Premium sound extras: '04+ LED tail light conversion (OEM BMW parts not aftermarket) H&R coilovers Ground Control camber plates H&R front sway bar Stainless Steel brake lines Active Autowerke Gen 3 exhaust Eurobahn Superchips software BHS underdrive pullies Strong front strut brace UUC short throw shifter European curved glass in side mirros painted reflectors Blacked out front grill and side gills Clear bra on entire bumper, mirrors, front fenders, headlamps, fogs, and behind each wheel BMW aluminum pedals BMW clutch stop 50% tint BMW I-pod integration (runs ipod through factory radio / steering wheel controls) Service: Bearing Recall performed Valves checked @ 30K miles and no adjustments needed Valves adjusted @ 45k miles (Inspection II performed at this time) Oil changes with mandated Castrol TWS 10W-60 at < 2000 mile incriments since I've owned it starting at 29K miles. Current oil change has 350 miles on it Tires: Hankook V12's have less than 1k miles on them Brakes brand new front rotors, pleanty of pad life left (Hawk HPS) Motul 600 brake fluid < 500 miles ago Redline Transmission and rear end fluid < 500 miles ago New S-belt when pullies were installed @ 34K miles I've got paperwork on this car back to the day it was delivered to MAG including pictures of it coming off of the truck at the dealer the day it was delivered. As a matter of fact there's soo much paperwork on this car it's boggling. I know the origional owner and know the entire history of this car. While it's a 10 year old car now, it's as free of blemishes as any example you'll see. My biggest complaint is that the wheels have curb rash on them, the 2nd owner had the car for 8 months and managed to curb them parking at his work, my intention was never to fix those wheels rather to put different ones on it. Condition: This is a top of the market car. The first owner and myself are both professional detailers. No paint work, no accidents, no door dings, no stories. If you're looking for a low mileage extremely nice example this is your car. Clean Title in hand. $21,500 Andy Better pictures to follow. http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q192/ZainoDetail/CRRollingPictures095copy.jpg http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q192/ZainoDetail/Picture015.jpg http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q192/ZainoDetail/Picture024.jpg

negatory, was hoping to go see some of the action at Nationals this weekend but at this point work owns me.

Jeff's photos are probably the most amazing track photo's I've ever seen. The detail in them is amazing. He caught me doing drift practice in a couple different spots. Need to get the alignment checked as I was chasing the rear of the car all day but only in left handers...which happen to be the quickest and scariest turns out there! http://www.jlofoto.net/#/gallery/2012aug31-ovr-autumn-classic-xxxi-pdx/20120831-0018/ http://www.jlofoto.net/#/gallery/2012aug31-ovr-autumn-classic-xxxi-pdx/20120831-1098/ My good friend is getting into photography, he got some really good shots too, I"ll post more up as he gets them hosted

not da superchared one.

Can you get a CLS for $25k? We looked at them when we bougt our E, but there was still quite a big delta between the two cars back then. CLS is dead sexy though.

Registration starts at 6:30, tech starts at 7:00, drivers meeting at 8.

WTF...Team Germany in conflict!

I guess here's something nobody has asked. Is this a vehicle you care about? intend to have for some time? Want to be able to show off to people and have pride in it? If you answer yes to any of the above cheap should not be a word used anywhere near the subject of paint. Devil is in the details when it comes to prepping something so that it will look spectacular once it's sparyed. You will forever regret the decision to paint if you let budget drive the quality of work. This is afterall something you'll be looking at, rubbing down, etc for a very long time. If it's a daily driver / beater, something you intend to dump in a couple years then screw it, do all the prep yourself, mask it up the best you can and drop it at Maaco.

There are soo many cool things you can do with older 911's looks wise...I can see a project car in my future. Really want a 993 GT2 look car myself.
-
you are totally correct. NEEDS MORE LOW!
-
Dig it, I'd personally paint the wheels back to silver but the car is hot.

Intercooler pumps go bad Air shocks can fail 2 spark plugs per cylinder when it's maintenance time 2 drain plugs makes oil changes a bit of a pain Little problems never really big ones in my experience....as long as you don't go for some crazy aggressive tune My wife loves ours, It's a love hate thing for me. I love drivers cars and the Benz is just so disconnected that it's never worked for me. It's a fast comfortable car it's just not "me". Goes like stink though Ours is pretty mild just renntech pulley, renntech tune, K&N filters, lowered and 20's.

You're going to be $300-400 for a proper, full service on an automatic movement chronograph watch. Diamond Cellar is a dealer and a service center, if they can't service it they will send it to the manufacturer for service. We use Goldstar in Westerville and have had decent luck over the years but the recent service on our Omega Speedmaster has left me looking for someone new. We first had an issue with the chronograph hand coming off after the service and now about 6 months later I've noticed the watch has very little if any power reserve any longer (maybe 8 hours max). I think I'm going to send it directly to Omega for service next time around.

While we're remembering good times, These are shots from Gareth Emery @ Mansion that we attended a couple months ago. This is how you put on a performance, we need a venu like this in Columbus. http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q192/ZainoDetail/photo4.jpg http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q192/ZainoDetail/photo-2.jpg http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q192/ZainoDetail/photo6.jpg http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q192/ZainoDetail/photo7.jpg http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q192/ZainoDetail/photo5.jpg

Ibiza is a Must do in my opinion. It's not just nightlife, beaches during the day are beautiful, there's a cool town / shopping area where we were the whole place is chill, we are planning another trip back before we get too old to enjoy it. Went with my wife so I wasn't exactly checking out the womeny but there were pleanty of attractive women. People come from all over though so assuming you'll be able to small talk someone in English would be a mistake. Only weird part about the clubs was the dude dancers. All the big clubs here have skanks that dance for them wearing next to nothing, pretty common to see no biggie right, well over here they also have dude's dancing on stage wearing very little. Suppose they are equal opportunity offenders over there

Tiesto's older stuff is some of my favorite, link also brings back great memories for me too. I've seen Tiesto, Oakenfold, Van Dyke and others here locally and the problem is that our clubs suck, nobody has an amazing audio and lighting setup's which means the whole experience just falls flat. The sets are still amazing but it's not the same. Sadly you have to travel to really get the best experience. We've been fortunate enough to catch Oakenfold @ Pacha NYC, Gateth Emery and Above & Beyond @ Mansion Miami and had the pleasure of getting to experience nightlife in Ibiza which I can't wait to get back to one day. Columbus needs a good club again!!!

I've spent a some time in a 991s on a track and they really are pretty amazing for a "regular-ass" 911

I get that the higher the wing the more effective it is...and the less angle you can run on it thanks to it being in clean air, and in this case there's clearly a double use for it being that high as well. HOWEVER, those uprights for the wing do not look strong enough to support that thing at high speeds.

I would PM Matt (mmZ06) and see what suggestions he has to offer as he has first hand experience. I believe he worked in the business for several years before opening his first franchise though which as others have stated is really going to be key, that or hiring someone who knows waht they're doing to manage it for you.

I know what happened to the street car, know the guy who was riding in the passenger seat when it happened. Would prefer to see that photo taken down even though I don't know the driver, best those photos don't surface on the Internet

It's been a few years since I really studied what all of these things do but don't the Nitric Oxide products produce a really big muscle pump during your workout...which would be a bad thing in the middle of a couple hour long bike ride?
