Looking to move to NC next year...i have an idea of where im going, but i wanna get to know people and figure out the ins and outs of certain areas so i dont end up in the dayton/cleveland of NC i figure with all you guys doing dragon runs, somebody has to of come across a good forum or group? like, we all have OR stickers plastered on everything.....anyone know of anything like this? google search only turned up http://www.carolinariders.com/forums/index.php and a regional section of sportbike.net ill probably sign up on both, but im wondering if theres some hidden gem i might be missing since i dont know the area or the people **edit...found this one too just now http://www.ncsportbikes.com/forums/index.php

i didnt go to the star...but i got an RS1 which pretty much has all the same features as the star and is in the same price range as the rf1100 ....its a great helmet, dont get me wrong...worlds above my HJC was....but its no shoei initially, it was more comfortable than the shoei....but the pad material breaks in a LOT...the wind noise is almost unbearable, ive never had the urge to wear ear plugs until i bought this helmet (even with the vents closed)....theres a lot of air that comes in under the chin, even with the built in chin guard (although having it built in instead of the crappy clip in like my shoei had, is nice)...if i wear it with my cold weather mask, for some reason the mask pushes the pads out enough where i get a TON of air coming in at the cheek area and directly into my eyes, which was never a problem with the rf1100 overall its a great helmet, and i got a steal on it - so i dont really regret it....but looking back, i wish i had gone with the shoei again instead honestly - the wind noise coupled with the odd amount of air flow up the chin/cheek area, are the reasons i probably wont buy another bell im not saying im a shoei only fanboy....i will probably try more brands in the future (i want a schuberth pretty bad)....but so far, the shoei has been the best overall helmet ive owned (next would be bell, kbc, hjc..in that order) **edit...oh, and after a 300mi ride....my neck hurts pretty bad in the bell...never had that issue with the shoei - but im not sure if its the new riding position on the vfr compared to the vmax, or the helmet itself....so take that comment with a grain of salt

dirt bike mode...just go down in first gear, legs up, cover the rear brake and feather as needed...easy

i could say that about pretty much every cruiser bike.....what does any cruiser do well that this thing wouldnt? its just a cruiser with a ton of hp.....i would change the riding position on it and drag race the shit out of it

depends on the person....people pay a lot more than that for shit a lot more lame, like paintings....some people could flush 3.7 million down the toilet and not even notice i wouldnt spend more than $50-100 on a painting, no matter what famous dead guy painted it.....some people spend that many millions on paintings somebody could offer me an authentic picasso painting worth x many millions, for $1000 under the conditions that i could never resell it to profit, and i would laugh and tell them to piss off.

your bike was my favorite that showed up...the ducks were pretty, but damn that thing is nice....thats my favorite body style too i was half tempted to steal it and never come back...so much want!...someday lol maybe next year once i get settled i will get one.....i told steph i wanna buy one and she can ride the vfr....she loved that idea lol....win/win...keep vfr for her to ride, and for long rides....get r1 for new daily

oh ok...different guy than i thought...when we came through that intersection, there was a fullsize red dodge ram that was making a left onto the road that truck pulled out from....he waited on us to go by, but you and the yellow bike were behind me, and i wasnt sure how far back...thought you were saying the ram made a left in front of you
