  1. glock 17, AR, .308 rifle....this a wish list, or a dream list? lol
  2. empty full (sub compact and my wallet) lol what a joke...im going to step up to a different setup once i figure out how i want it mounted inside my truck
  3. gander mtn has them for 19.99
  4. me too - i have never had a problem with a helmet fitting too big besides my shoei...it just seemed to break in much more than the others i have had
  5. ive been meaning to ask my agent about it...but im afraid letting her know i have a gun in the truck will raise my rates (i already pay more for insurance than anybody ever should), so i havent asked yet to see if its covered
  6. buy me a gen4 g19 or even a g17 been considering switching to a glock to give it a try...but i think i would miss my DA/SA trigger like the HK has....sometimes i like to be lazy and toss my HK in my pocket, something i wouldnt feel ok doing with the g19 lol
  7. shoei's fit is deceiving! they break in a lot when you wear them...mine fit great in the store and once i got it home i too realized it was a hair big
  8. i make $250 a week, i spend $150 a week on bills (not including gas and food)...that doesnt leave much gun budget to replace mine if it gets stolen
  9. it hasnt - but its not worth the risk to me. a guy i work with got his truck broken into last week and they cleaned it out, and he was only parked about 100ft from me. sorry if you think its stupid to lock it up - but i think its stupid to leave it out for somebody to take, in an area that is plagued with car break ins
  10. its 2 different bounce issues being talked about a helmet thats too big will bounce around from being too loose - a non-aerodynamic helmet even if snug will bounce around for catching turbulence...like sticking your hand out the window of a car and turning it palms facing forward, you get that wind resistance....cheap helmets are like driving a dump truck down the freeway, nice helmets are like a corvette....just a basic example if the shoei fit you properly, you probably wouldnt have the bounce also - special order or not, if you wore the helmet it cant be returned...thats like buying a video game and playing it and trying to return it...theres some things you just cant return special order policy is also posted above their registers (or it used to be at least) - no return means no return lol
  11. how is the wind noise? that was my only complaint with my shoei
  12. i cant afford to buy a new gun every week like some midget i know we have had countless break-ins at my job, and its to the point they even posted signs saying they arent responsible for stolen stuff we dont park on the lot with the building, we have to park in a parking lot across the street ....especially working when its dark outside, it makes our parking lot an easy target...i work with too many people who have had their shit stolen to risk my stuff getting stolen rather lock it up while im in there and take the chance that i dont need to run out and grab it, than get it stolen and not have it at all until i can manage to save up enough to replace it
  13. thats the one i like from them too - good to hear a first hand review
  14. go buy a Shark helmet and tell me how you like it lol...i might look at those when i pick up a new bike (graduating in 2012 finally) the s900 looks nice http://www.amazon.com/Shark-ELIPSE-BLK_SIL-MOTORCYCLE-HELMETS/dp/B004PC0NHO but i dont like that graphic - i would try to find one of these http://www.dirtbikebitz.com/images/products/helmets/011_Shark/Shark-S900-Inmate-Motorcycle-Helmet-White.jpg http://www.garlandsmotorcycles.com/ekmps/shops/garlands/images/shark-s900-antix-2651-p.jpg
  15. this was my biggest complaint with my HJC...a helmet bouncing around will make your neck very sore at the end of a long ride...mine got so bad on a 300 mile ride i almost took it off for the ride home...never had that problem with my shoei at all you cant group bell with scorpion IMO...i put scorpion, icon, hjc, kbc, etc all in the low end category, and bell, shoei, arai, nolan etc in the high end ....and to me there is a noticeable difference...only bought the HJC since it was cheap and i needed it for drag racing my car - tried using it on the bike and that only lasted a couple months
  16. after the horrible experience with HJC - i wont even look at helmets under $250 i know, i know....$ does not equal quality, etc....but my HJC sucked! i thought it was nice until i tried something else and realize "oh man...my neck doesnt hurt, my head doesnt get beat up by the wind, and wow not every helmet has such little padding" i believe you get what you pay for with helmets for the most part...a high end bell, shoei, arai, etc is all i will look at in the future....scorpion, icon, kbc all have some nice designs, and a lot of people love them - but i dont see myself ever owning one (of the three, i only ever owned a dirt KBC - it was some fancy expernsive one, i wore it like 4 times and switched back to my $80 bell helmet and sold the KBC)
  17. my comment about comfort wasnt arguing for arai or against bell or scorpion...just suggested he try on arai also, ive never owned an arai so i dont have any experience with them the bulk of my comment was just "in general"
  18. im not allowed to carry into work, and we have to go through a metal detector...i have no choice, its either lock it up in the car or leave it at home
  19. ive heard people who have narrow heads have the same complaints about shoei - but found great comfort in bell and arai....have you tried on an arai? honestly it comes down to preference - but $200 really isnt that much if you look at what youre getting....the helmet is something you will wear every day for the next few years (riding days i mean, obviously not every day)....$200 over that many days will end up being like, what, 25 cents per day you ride? think about that when youre riding and not comfortable and thinking "damn..for a quarter more i could be comfortable" thats why i always buy based on quality and not price when it comes to thing you will put countless hours in....such as helmets, boots, etc...buy what feels the best, dont get caught up in trying to save a few bucks
  20. crack babies dont go to college...idiot
  21. i checked the bolts he mentioned, but mine dont go tighter...ill post a pic tomorrow so you can see what i mean what do you think of the low pro stack-on i posted?
  22. might try something like this, bolted through the floor behind my seat http://www.amazon.com/Stack-QAS-1304-Profile-Access-Electronic/dp/B0013LO0F6/ref=pd_sim_hi_6
  23. my next one will be something more sturdy for sure...gonna bolt it through the floor and then weld the nut onto the bolt from underneath the truck
  24. perhaps - but i know im not the only one with this problem, there was a previous thread on here where others had an issue too
  25. i wish i could rep you more gen3
