  1. if i found an ammo can in the middle of the woods i would probably open it to see if theres anything good in it lol
  2. guess you got lucky - mine has one - and yes, the bolts on the lock mechanism are as tight as they go
  3. ^ and it woudlnt be hard!! these boxes are junk...theres a nice big gap in them, perfect size to put a pry bar in..and i bet it wont take much to bust the cheap chinese locks...once i replace mine with something better im going to bust open my nanovault to see just how much it actually takes ...i dont trust it at all, sometimes i feel safer hiding my gun somewhere in the vehicle while im at work instead of in that box lol
  4. as for passing the law - i have mixed feelings about it which is why i havent argued it either way (too strongly, at least) i see it as a pointless law that wont do much good - and i think it needs to be on a state level instead of federal but, i wont be upset if it passes ....i originally was arguing that the penalties for talking on the phone and driving should not be equal to the penalties for DUI because i dont believe them to be equal offenses
  5. ive had first hand experience with a lot of family members dealing with OVIs, which is why i dont drink...ive come across too many alcoholics in my family to care for the shit also have a few friends i work with that have been fucked by DUIs, and those are the type of people who wake up in their bed and dont even know how they go home and a close friend of my mom is going to prison because she was driving drunk and she ran a guy over and killed him...he was just released from suicide watch at a hospital and it was night time and raining - if she was sober when she hit him, im sure they would call it suicide...but that isnt the case ive had plenty of experience around people who are affected by DUIs, and i would bet a years salary that they were all over .08 when the accidents occured i was simply saying you cant base an argument that txting is worse than DUI based on an article about .08 drivers vs txters....the reality is a lot of DUI accidents occur when people are above .08....does it happen at .08? yes. below? yes. but a lot of accidents happen above the limit also. i would be more apt to believe an article that included .08 drivers, as well as .2 drivers, along with txters....lumping all DUI offenders into the same category as .08 drivers is not accurate
  6. im talking about personal experience from people ive seen and known...and while i didnt give them a breath test to check - if you cant even fucking walk, youre probably over .08
  7. and im not defending people who get convicted for DUI i think the DUI laws are a fucking joke...i think DUI needs a MUCH stiffer penalty that it currently has...people getting 5 DUIs and shit...its pathetic, more people need prison time for it if it was up to me drag racing has the same penalty as dui....that is unbelievable to me...dui penalties are way too lax
  8. i never said you couldnt be cited - i said comparing people at .08 to txting like the article isnt a valid point for dui>txting because most accidents dui related the driver is above .08 im not sure why youre trying to read me dui laws im not even talking about the legal limit to be cited
  9. i guess i didnt make my argument clear i was saying comparing people txting to people at .08 is not the same as comparing people txting to people at .2 BAC the people ive seen wrecking while drunk, were all well beyond .08...not saying .08 you wont wreck, but i would venture to say the majority of DUI related accidents are caused by people above .08
  10. its actually about a foot and a half due to speed difference - but i still stand by my initial statement
  11. also Ben, from one of your links at 70mph, 4ft is nothing... that small drop in reaction time doesnt mean anything, they were testing right at .08 alcohol level...what is that? one beer? give me a break 70mph is 103 ft per second...that comes out to around .03 seconds slower RT if that article was valid at all, i would be asking for DUI laws to be repealed...most people at .08 arent even buzzed, let alone "drunk"
  12. this was my point what about my second remark in that post? guess were ignoring that?
  13. it is so awesome it needs no description
  14. i agree. please note - if she is using it primarily for reading, get a regular kindle...avoid the fire the fire has a glossy screen just like the ipad and other tablets - it makes reading in direct sunlight a major pain....thats the largest complaint im reading on them and why im seeing people suggest the regular kindle over the fire as an ereader kind of like a plasma tv in a bright room....hello glare!
  15. this statement reminds me of back in the day when people were burning witches....all it took was one person saying someone was a witch and they would get killed...before killing them, they tortured them to give up names of other witches, who were then also killed etc....makes a ton of sense, right?
  16. i know you meant this comment as a sarcastic remark - but honestly, it makes sense (not your whole comment on following them around, just this part) if people live off the system and do so comfortably, where is the motivation for them to change things? ive known people who get on assistance in a hard time and end up staying on it because they say they are better off financially living off the system than they are at a minimum wage job...yet if you work for minimum wage youre not poor enough to qualify for assistance. where is the incentive to work to better yourself, when somebody is providing everything you need and more?
  17. 1. where is your proof for this statement? 2. you could make the exact assumption about people doing a lot of things in a car - eating, talking to passengers, changing location on a gps, rummaging through a purse or bag looking for something, taking off a shoe to itch their foot, rifling through a cd case to find a new cd to listen to, changing the station on an ipod, deciding the weather is nice out and removing a jacket or sweatshirt, etc.....there are so many things you could assume are "just as dangerous as driving drunk", theres not enough laws that can be made to prevent people from doing everything they do while driving. is txting a problem? sure. will banning it make people pay more attention to the road? dont be so naive
  18. i have a setup just like this, i like it...nice and compact, i dont run a shop - dont need a ton of space
  19. was just curious - it looked familiar and the mods were the same....ill let him know its back up for sale, he mentioned not long ago that he missed it
  20. you cant compare the ipad to the kindle fire....different audience, and different purposes.... they arent even trying to compete with apple they even admit its not competition for full tablets, it is an e-reader with tablet features....if you dont plan on using an ereader, i would not buy the kindle fire...if you want an ereader with some extra features but dont have 600+ to spend on an ipad or similar tablet, the kindle fire is a great deal....it is murdering the new nook reader and its $50 cheaper
  21. you buy this bike from Alex Lindner? teenage ginger kid
  22. "cheap" tablets are still 3x the cost of a kindle....the cheapest tablet would actually be the kindle fire i think, unless theres some no name chinese brand that nobody has ever heard of also - i just did a huge marketing project on amazon vs barnes and noble, and after doing so - i would never choose nook over kindle
