yea, my moms bf has a 98 f150 with 230k on it with a 4.6L....doesnt mean theyre good motors, just some people have good luck with them. there are MUCH better choices out there than 2v mod motors also - late 03 and into 04 they had fixed most of the 2v mod motor problems. so being an 04 im not surprised you havent had any big issues. i still wouldnt ever buy another 2v mod motor though, no matter how many "fixes" are made to it...the 3v is much more solid

and dont get me wrong....i loved my mod motor fords!!! but my mustang left me stranded more often than my 1990 isuzu amigo, and i sold the harley truck to carmax for 4-5k under book because it needed the heads pulled and i didnt want to mess with it now i drive a 7.3 and will never go back (until i pick up my 04 cobra ....its on my eventual list lol)

and for the record - im not hating on ford, im a ford fanatic, its all i will ever own...im just being realistic and pointing out the problems they have if youre getting a good enough deal, and you like the vehicle and understand you may run into some issues with it down the road - then more power to you i wouldnt own any mod motor ford pre-05 (except for an 03/04 cobra - which is a different animal all together - or a lincoln navigator - for the same reason as the cobra, different head design, not that im ghetto enough to even be seen in a navigator) ive owned a 4.6 and a 5.4 - essentially the same motor - and a shared design with the v10, minus 2 cylinders....the motors all share the same common problems, and that would be a major deterrence for me.....plus, i would hate to buy a vehicle that wont last past 300k (rarely a mod motor will...but lets be realistic)

couldnt give me a 6.0 ....i couldnt afford to keep it running....not sure wtf ford was thinking when they made that pile...the 6.4 isnt much better...hopefully they got it together with the 6.7 theyre using now for gas motors - in 2005 they improved a little bit, but 96-03 (04 in some models) was a disaster period for them in terms of reliability

its a 2v mod motor.... they are complete crap. spark plugs blow out for no reason requiring retapping threads into the head exceptionally weak timing components - its a huge job replacing tensioner/arms/guides on one head gaskets are not very stout most issues resolved by 2005 with the 3v head design google "ford mod motor problem" and you will see a ton of hits for timing components and spark plug blowouts...ive owned 2 of these motors and hated both of them

why export and import? why not just keep whatever we need and export the left over? or use all of what we have and import what were missing? why sell something just to buy it back?

find a 7.3 and call it a day, unless you find a super low mileage v10...i wouldnt ever own one though

dont buy a v10!!!! total crap, and goodluck affording gas for the thing....it would be cheaper to rent a uhaul and drive it on race weekends

one of those guys also told me they were nice and sold me one that easily met my expectations....i would buy another one, based on my personal experience

reacting to temperature is not the same as reacting to touch all im saying is i dont think the high and mighty approach is a very good one "dont hurt animals, they have feelings...just eat plants because theyre inanimate" there is plenty of research to show that plants could possibly have feelings - so what then? will people start eating rocks?

i kind of disagree. just because they dont act the same as we do, doesnt mean they dont make conscious decisions. sure some things may not show it as readily, but what about carnivorous plants such as venus fly traps? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B8XQ20X_4s4 not moving making decisions etc doesnt make something inanimate...coral is considered a non-moving animal....there are plants more active than some corals or what about mimosa plants? they "play dead" when touched, they obviously have feelings because they react to touch http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zq3UuHlPLQU if you stab a chicken, its going to holler and run around...if you stab a coral it probably wont move...doesnt mean either of them feels pain differently....same could go for plants - maybe a carrot does feel just like other plants, just has no visible way to show it the science behind electric pulses in plants showing that they do feel is not so easily written off, IMO

didnt watch the video, so i cant comment on the actual stuff in it since its typical peta slaughterhouse stuff (seen it all before) but why such an outcry about boiling a live chicken? people boil live lobster like its no big deal

yea i got mine from pony, im not sure what retail price is...probably depends on battery

bikemaster gel batteries seem nice...used one on my grizzly for a few months and it fired up in dead of winter 5 degrees no problem

so if all animals are equal to humans and NOT a food source, shouldnt you be protesting in zanesville somewhere for them shooting those tigers instead of letting them run rampant around the town since they are our equals? saying other animals are our equal is like saying a rabbit is a coyotes equal...it isnt. humans are on top of the food chain - no animal is our equal, thats just how it goes. even if you put any religious aspects aside, in nature the more dominant animal is on top...thats why lions kill gazelles, and sharks eat fish...its just how it is every animal has a purpose - spiders are around to keep insect populations down, birds keep spider populations in check, foxes keep bird populations down, humans keep fox populations down, and Darwin keeps human populations in check (seriously though - the human population is a good example of what happens when something has no natural predator....we are overgrowing)
