  1. salvage means it is wrecked and has not been inspected. you cannot get tags, you cannot get insurance, and it is a felony to operate it on the street. every now and then they will slip through the cracks (my vmax was salvage and my dad had tags and insurance on it for 11 years)...soon as i took it over and went to register it they told me no and that it needed to be inspected i dont own anything rebuilt at the moment, so i forget for sure if it says Rebuilt or Rebuilt Salvage - but it wont just say Salvage if your title says "Salvage" then you need to schedule an inspection ASAP because it is a felony charge to ride it with that title status
  2. good luck getting it resolved today, keep us updated how it turns out let me know if i can give you a hand with anything
  3. also - if they still refuse to shuttle it tonight or send it early am tomorrow - i would file a complain with the corporate office they love sending big wigs in to bully the hub and district managers
  4. at least you get a repeating message - my hub will ring non-stop and never give any message or anything lol if it arrived at the hub at 4am theres no reason at all it shouldnt be sent out...i would tell them you expect it shuttled tonight and delivered on time i cant think of one single instance where we receive a package and do not send it the same day - theres no dedicated "storage" area to hold packages aside from the counter area where customer pickup is. almost seems like that hub fucked something up - because if his is delayed also and he didnt do the address change like you, then it sounds definitely like a hub problem which hub is it?
  5. i hear ya man - i wouldnt be happy either! theres just so much procedure at UPS to ensure package security that it sometimes gets in the way of common sense ive had problems before picking up my own package while i was standing in the hub trying to get it - just play it cool and dont take no for an answer despite what they may say - they do send out trucks on saturdays! theres no reason they cant get it to you tomorrow morning if its already in the hub they also do PM pickups, and should be able to put it on a truck that is in the area doing pickups they hire part time drivers just to run small errands exactly like this.....so keep calm and explain the situation and dont let them tell you no lol
  6. are you able to contact the local hub directly instead of calling the main office? if so, ask them why the delivery date changed and tell them its an important box and you were told you would have it today. request it early AM tomorrow or request that it be shuttled this evening. (you cannot call the hub i work at, not sure how your local one is)
  7. hey bud - i coulda changed the delivery address this morning at work shoulda hit me up! lol its hard to make some changes when you wait until last minute - and for a package that has to be signed for it makes sense to run it how they are....sure its inconvenient, but it makes sense. woudlnt want any random person able to call and have delivery addresses changed without the shipper doing it. thats like me calling in knowing you have a package on the way and me claiming to be you and having it sent to my house instead - then you calling ups asking why they never delivered your box, and verizon saying they shipped it to the right person
  8. i work at UPS so im a bit biased, however i am by no means a UPS nutswinger, because they do some stuff that irritates the shit out of me....i just really dislike fedex - i dislike how they run their company, essentially using contractors for everything.....by doing so it makes delivery times erratic, it decreases the care of the employees, and they always change their tracking number info like they dont know how to estimate properly...when a package is shipped the delivery date changes 2-3 times sometimes, even though the conditions are not causing it (blizzard etc)...also have had them deliver packages at 7PM to my house, which IMO is way too late given there are no circumstances which cause it such as weather or traffic when did you call them to change the address? if you called today it would be too late most likely since the trucks are on the road at 8 45 - which would explain why the package would be delivered monday if the address changed and was not on the same route....if you called yesterday to change it and they messed it up i would demand a saturday delivery most hubs run air routes on saturday, so it wouldnt be an issue for them to toss a ground package on the truck ...they may even be able to put it on a shuttle and deliver it today. the hub i work at will send drivers out with as little as a single package to deliver it to ensure not missing the scheduled date .....sounds like whatever hub youre dealing with sucks...didnt think a hub could suck more than the slave pens i work at lol
  9. 1. what instructions? 2. youre doing it wrong - they have a number you call and leave your name and they call back within 30 minutes 3. fedex is fucking horrible....maybe youve had some good experiences with them, but overall they are shit and i would never send something fedex....all shipping companies fuck shit up, just some do it more than others....theres a reason fedex is always number 2 and a reason UPS has so many major contracts that fedex has no chance of ever getting let me know if i can give you a hand with anything - i work there, but i dont have any actual say, but i can talk to some people for ya if youre having an issue and need some help
  10. no comments about clip/magazine? y'all slippin!
  11. they tried to fuck me royally until i showed pictures that were undeniable...then they finally decided to settle bastards
  12. heres a trick when dealing with insurance companies, stop saying "salvage"...start saying "rebuilt"....i had issues with people not knowing what you mean and just putting in salvage, which no insurance company will cover a salvage title...theres a difference in salvage and rebuilt salvage...start saying rebuilt and try back to the places who said they wont cover it i had this problem with grange "sorry we dont cover salvage vehicles, only rebuilt" "oh...it is rebuilt" "why didnt you say so?" one of those things that should be obvious, but not everybody gets it when you call those places lol
  13. hey shitty - i heard theres a member here who goes by Reimbrandt, he does great work if youre looking for a new painter
  14. yea that part doesnt make any sense. have you shopped around? try progressive - they gave the best rates for me and goodluck if you ever have to file a claim with geico - theyre the shittiest insurance company ive ever dealt with heres my broker http://www.prolinkinsurance.com/ call them and ask for Sara - she will take care of you, best insurance rep i have ever dealt with. nice part is she doesnt tattle tale about stuff, so if you ask her questions about title status she wont report it to insurance unless you request....i had a question about something that would raise my rates and she didnt turn me over, and my rates stayed the same ... im happy with them
  15. sounds like you already have your answer then - but on a theft claim dont be surprised if they have an issue with you not disclosing the title status
  16. thats all on you man....goodluck in whatever you do, but if it was me - i wouldnt want to risk my bike over $7.50 per month
  17. they have the VIN - it should show automatically either way, i would get it changed...90 dollars a year isnt very much at all, and it will save you the headache of getting a claim rejected when/if you need it a lot of bikes are total loss claims when they go down - so if they go to total the bike out, they are definitely going to notice whether its clean title or not, theyre not going to blindly buy it and pay you retail, because they will be taking over the title in the event of a total loss
  18. depends on the company. i got a huge discount on my mustang because it was rebuilt. they only valued it at half of blue book i had grange at the time
  19. its on way past my bed time, so i catch it the next day lol
  20. this is why people should just avoid bad areas of town. then they wouldnt be in danger of people with guns and they could enjoy their world of lollipops and unicorns. guns are bad and people who carry them are just hillbillys
  21. very nice! ill keep him in mind if i ever need some airbrushing done. nice to see good work from a local guy
