  1. Protesting is our right as Americans. It's the first amendment of the constitution ffs. Bad actors need dealt with, but protesting is not the problem. There have been many successful and peaceful protests going on right now that are being overshadowed by bullshit rioting. If you don't exercise your rights, you will lose them. But there are right and wrong ways of doing so.

My assumption is these police wanted to put him in the car and go home to their families. It appears he prevented that and escalated the situation leading to him being pinned. I don't know what procedures are for securing a handcuffed suspect in the back seat. Would anyone have objected to him being tazed instead of being pinned?

I'm not sure that the method of pinning him was necessarily the problem... The problem was that they at no point readjusted, rolled him over, or provided any medical attention... The dude was basically unconscious for 2 or 3 minutes and the cop still had his knee on his neck. There was a total lack of regard for human life. The guy who got killed was apparently blasted drunk so I'm sure he was probably borderline uncontrollable, but you can't just kill people.

IDK how everyone else feels, but I watched the video and even pulling him through the car and onto the ground seemed fine to me because he was fighting with them. But at some point during that encounter, the guy ceased to be a threat, and the cop continued to treat him like he was one.  In my mind, that is the problem. I'd also be lying if I said I didn't think race had something to do with it (I did see a photo of this cop with a "Make Whites Great Again" hat - though I"m not sure if it was authentic).

I'm not sure any evidence can ever convince me the cop wasn't in the wrong. Regardless what caused the events leading up to the guy's death, the use of force was just too excessive. The other cops knew it was wrong, even suggesting to roll the guy over and checking for his pulse, and they didn't do anything to stop it. For us citizens, that's called being an accessory. I think all 4 cops should be charged.

With all that being said - Looting and burning down cities is not going to make things better. It only deepens the divide. People need to get out and vote and protest peacefully and win the hearts and minds of people in a position to make real change. Not just create more us vs them mentality and needless chaos.

Years ago I had a Ford Flex kid hauler.  It had a touch sensitive keypad (not buttons) on the outside.   When I first had it, and before I knew the code I was washing it at a self serve car wash.  It was running with my phone & wallet inside.  Water spraying back and forth on the keypad was interpreted as too many incorrect attempts and the car locked itself.  I had to borrow a strangers phone and get my GF to bring my spare keys   👎

Oh man, that's shitty 😂😂... That reminds me, I do have a touch pad for the code, but I got it used so I don't know it... I need to call the dealer today and see if they'll give it to me

Good thing you had your phone on you and water.

Right!! I had water, phone, toilet paper, everything lol... But my dumb ass set the keys in the cup holder while the truck cooled down. It's never locked on me before, it doesn't lock usually until you start driving 5mph or so. I must have bumped into the button, or maybe I hit the little intelligent lock thing on the door handle... Idk... Lesson learned for sure! I only had to sit out there like 40 minutes waiting... Go figure the truck turned off after 30 minutes on it's own, so by the time I got in it, it wasn't even cool anymore 😂

Please don’t clump this episode with race and make it white vs black thingy. Dont let the establishment make you think like that and hide behind that veil and race bait common people. This is just rotten apples and a rotten system that needs change. The people rioting and looting are from all walks of life and all colors or skin.

There are two separate things Going on now. The murder on live video / injustice / culture of covering up of bad apples/ protests / etc is one axis. The second axis has nothing to do with this, the looting arson and violence is by a bunch which has no relation to the cause nor will they cause any positive change in the system except more hate and divisions.

I agree with your comment that they are separate issues. However, many people aren't making that distinction. If you don't support mass rioting and destruction then you must be a racist white devil who has no empathy for the black community. People are actually saying and thinking this shit, I've had it said TO me. It's ridiculous.

oky it’s 2020 people need to use more common sense and google. Like I said the aim of few is to just see the system crash unleash chaos and anarchy. Don’t be a sheep and don’t be a pawn. Some kinda Statistics show peeps in the 60 plus age group are the biggest spread of misinformation online ad they can’t identify fake from real or do basic internet cross checks.

that account was suspended if not the history would have revealed probably made during the last 48 hrs and typing out utter bullshit. If it looks and sounds like bullshit it’s going to be.

You did read this right? Whether or not someone deleted the post, it's still resonating with someone of those clowns and the people on the street. Fake ceases to be fake when people begin to act on it.

Well, the police are a little busy at the moment with damage control efforts. Maybe they should have been a little more proactive and handled this piece of shit officer the last dozen times his name hit investigation papers.

And ANYBODY that has faith the police will come to their aid is deluded.

    This I can agree with.

  8. What is your brilliant solution? More molotov cocktails being tossed into occupied police vehicles, random drive by shootings into crowds and vehicles driving down the street, do we need another Reginald Denny to step in and take one for the team so people can let their frustration out?

  9. Nothing wrong with protesting and civil unrest to prove a point. Curfew? Go break it and stand in the street with your sign. Police tell you to leave? Refuse. Do whatever you need to do to protest and prove your point. But how does looting, rioting, and burning down businesses of local people, while advocating the death of police officers and innocent white people help prove any kind of point? This is the same argument against police. Some bad police make people think all police are bad and should die. So what about rioters? Few bad protestor are ruining the greater point of the peaceful protesting. Burning down malls and murdering innocent people doesn't make all these people look bad? That's not bad for the cause?

  10. I don't understand why these two things have to go hand in hand. The cop was clearly in the wrong from the evidence presented so far, and he's been arrested and charged with murder. What more do they want? And it's not a fair statement that cops never get locked up, it's been happening way more frequently.

That aside, how does trashing the city solve any problems? What more do people want? Nothing. They just want anarchy. They wanna cause havoc and do all the things they see on TV that they normally cannot get away with. Half those people probably don't give a damn about George Floyd, they just want free shoes and xboxs and the street credit to tell their buddies they torched a cop car.

This whole movement would have more credibility to me if there wasn't countless small business owners who are entirely innocent, having their lives and businesses ruined by these people. Even black store owners are being looted. They're committing crimes against other black people while protesting about crimes against black people.

That 7hr video also has a section where people start shooting guns at a random car driving by. Let's protest by trying to kill white people. Good idea. And fuck any of you who think this shit is okay. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Is there a problem that needs fixed? Yes.

Is this the way to do it? We'll see, but I'm guessing no. Why not ACTUALLY protest peacefully and try to build a movement and get people on your side? Destroying the city and wasting gov money seems like the opposite way to push for "equality" even though I don't believe that's what any of these protestors want.
