In my opinion, it's like signing up for the military, fire department, EMS, etc... Every one of these careers are ones where you risk your life to save others. If you aren't willing to do it, then don't sign up. Don't enjoy easy street and then bail when the going gets tough. Nobody forced them to become doctors, they did it to help others (or to make money, which they probably realize was the wrong reason now).
Is the inherent risk between the medical field and signing up for the military the same? Of course not. But this isn't the first outbreak that's ever happened and this is an inherent risk of being in the medical field. Doctors opting out of this fight, to me, are like soldiers who suddenly have medical problems when it's time to pick up their rifle for combat.
What's that famous internet saying? "Everyone wants to be a doctor until it's time to do doctor shit." .... or something like that.

I think that is a pretty average specimen. The grow over 40ft tall according to the link.
They do grow very slowly so that one is probably over 100years old.
Interesting. I definitely have not seen many 40 ft cactuses out here lol. While they may get that big, I wouldn't call 20 foot, 100yr old cactuses average... Makes me want to go check out some of the cactus preservations out here and see some of these 40ft monsters lol... I'd say the "average" cactus I see out here is 10ft or less.
I found this monster on Google, holy damn lol

Idk how big they get but the truck is about 7ft tall so that cactus is 20+ feet! I've seen big cactus before, but this guy might take the cake lol

Sorry to hear man... My aunt has had MS for as long as I can remember (my first time driving a car I was 12yo and she had an episode so I had to drive us home on the freeway in Phoenix)... She manages well, rides a motorcycle, rock climbs, she probably lives a lot more than a lot of healthy people do... She has her bad days of course but she's in her mid 50s and no signs of slowing down... I wish you the best and I hope they come up with some better treatments to help out. Be strong and don't let it win, you'll be alright.

Does he even have any experts left that work for him? They all seem to have quit long before this. He has intentionally surrounded himself with yes men and women. He lives in an echo chamber.

After all this passes. I wonder if working from home will become more common.
Some companies have had much success with remote employees, others are reluctant to give employees a remote option. The trend has been up and down.
I've worked from home for the past 15 years and would prefer to never work in an office again.
My job is one that can be done from home 100% of the time. My company is just against remote work for some unknown reason. We have plenty of executives who work remote, but mainly because we just wanted the talent and that's what it took to get them. Local people they make it much harder. I'm really not sure why. I hope this will be a positive exercise to show them it can work.
My first conference call of the day today and half the people couldn't dial in because the firmwide conference line is too bogged down from all the phone meetings.... So, not off to a good start.
** I also already had remote capability, and am allowed to work remote 3 days per month whenever I wish. They just don't like to make formal arrangements. It's really puzzling in 2020 when so many companies offer perks like that. We're also packed in our buildings and fighting for space... Yet they still won't let people work remote full time.

Yesterday I got a care package for my tracer. Birthday present a couple weeks early. Crash bars, driving lights, tank bag straight from Motostorm/Givi in Italy. My wife has quarantined the package for a couple days. This sucks.

they used a picture of a car tire for the article.
Ah okay... Thought he was saying it was a car tire causing problems. The accidents mentioned were Harleys and Wings and you see car tires on them sometimes lol. Gotta love media.
