  1. i could find me a nice truck for 10k - easy **12k, but its got wiggle room http://columbus.craigslist.org/cto/2170406143.html and on a 7.3, the miles wouldnt scare me at all nice gasser (if thats your thing) http://columbus.craigslist.org/cto/2136347576.html another 7.3 http://columbus.craigslist.org/cto/2123077131.html no way in hell ide pay 40k for a single vehicle
  2. yea the paddle shifting or the little stick mode would be the same effect...i just prefer to downshift than use my brakes when conditions are bad...its more controlled IMO and a clutch is still better than the sport mode because you can control how much slip, or simply put in the clutch if you lose traction, etc....but sport shift is better than nothing for sure
  3. i prefer downshifting in the snow to using my brakes - thats more of what my comment was directed toward...downshift and slip the clutch out at my own discretion rather than just hitting my brakes
  4. good deal....thats the only regret i have about buying my truck...i found a good deal on an auto so i got it, and now driving it in the snow im constantly wishing it was a manual lol
  5. yea they say theres plenty of land being unused that would work out once the technology is developed it just needs more R&D before its a viable option to produce it in the amounts we would need as a country
  6. subaru rates will be significantly higher than trucks, thanks to young people who also happen to enjoy them (wreck them) i would say if you end up getting an auto, make sure its got a transmission cooler (a lot of vehicles may have one built in from the factory)....cant hurt to add an auxiliary just towing a bike trailer though, i wouldnt worry about overheating issues ...just dont go pulling around a trackhoe and double axle trailer with your slushbox 4 door sedan lol manual>auto anyways **edit...just saw youre looking at subaru wagons.... if you get one and get a single bike trailer to tow around, i would not worry about overheating...you would be fine with the automatic, but manuals do better in the snow so take that into consideration
  7. licking heights had a policy like this where you had to prove your date was enrolled at a diff school, they had to get a form filled out and signed by their principal. watkins right down the road didnt, because i went to my girls hs prom with her and i was already in college
  8. i know who gets their car pissed in while theyre in class
  9. my taco bell mysteriously disappeared in my truck on the way to school.....i have a bad feeling its about to reappear though
  10. i didnt say i agree he should be prosecuted, but if you walk into an airport with the sole purpose of causing trouble, you have to almost expect to get arrested. my original comment was "Look at me look at me" which i still stand by. What he did has no actual purpose except to draw attention to himself, but go ahead and twist that all up to where i agree he should get a boot to the mouth for being a terrorist, or wherever you feel like taking it
  11. get something like this http://columbus.craigslist.org/ctd/2182663785.html they want 10k for it, but thats a dealership...so private party you could find one for 8k without trying too hard... put a little hitch on it, small bike trailer, and toss your track gear in the back seat
  12. agreed....dont get a big 4x4 truck to haul bikes lol...i dont even like loading my quad in my truck, let alone a street bike best of both world - get a subaru impreza (wrx if thats your thing) or a legacy.... get one 6-8k, get a small motorcycle trailer to haul your bike ...all done under 10k and you will have awd for the winters, and a nice daily ride
  13. i would agree if he was legitimately using his camera for something....his attitude and demeanor make it appear that he went in there for the sole purpose of causing trouble, right or wrong
  14. this one doesnt look too bad either - if you dont mind a little rust...but for a "cheap" truck, its a decent deal...5.0 is a good motor too http://columbus.craigslist.org/cto/2163966299.html
  15. early 90s f150 with a 4.9 I6....great trucks, dirty cheap http://columbus.craigslist.org/cto/2171342729.html
  16. im right here - and ill cut ya some good deals if you need some work done around your house
  17. oh...i see the Father of Communism supported progressive taxation.
  18. be careful jumping brackets man! my moms ex-bf jumped up a bracket and owed $75k at tax time! just try and prepare yourself for the higher bracket so the time doesnt come around and you realize youre broke lol...(i dont know how much you make, or how big of a "jump" youre making...so 75k may be extreme in your situation)
  19. so..... $10 is 67% of $15....$10 is .01% of 100k how does your example fit bens? shouldnt it say If I had $100,000 in my pocket and you took .01% ($10), I probably wouldn't miss it. If I had $15 in my pocket and you took .01% (rounds up to a penny), then I still wouldnt miss it. OR If I had $100,000 in my pocket and you took 67% ($67,000), then we might have an issue. If I had $15 in my pocket and you took 67% ($10), then we still might have an issue. Ben was saying 25% for everybody, your example is .01% for the rich, and 67% for the poor....using your $10 example
