  1. If I hadn't stopped for gas I would have been fine... Just didn't wanna stop after work in the heat so I rolled the dice and lost... Gonna start using the tender again
  2. Tonik these are notorious for draining if not ridden... It sat for 2wks without being ridden and fired up in the garage but I immediately stopped for gas and it wouldn't start... I've had this issue on and off since new, and it seems most others do too... Battery tender if not riding every 2-3 days if what everyone on the cb forums does... I didn't plug mine in and now I'm stuck... This battery might be the cause, the dealer left key on and killed the bike before I ever rode it so they jumped it to get me home and maybe it's just never been right again, idk... But the only time I ever have starting issues is on short trips from cold (gas station is like 7 miles from my house)
  3. Battery tested good but needs charged... 2-3hr wait... Better get comfortable... Damn, I hate being too cheap for a tow truck lol
  4. I think you're right on both counts... Gonna check/charge/replace if necessary battery and fuse and then go from there... Luckily autozone opens at 730 here so I'm there now
  5. They're not open yet I don't think... Yea I'm gonna have them charge and test it Luckily, I did find a bad fuse... Anyone know what this is? Going to fix it and see if my gauges and fuel pump etc start working again
  6. Yea I don't see any fuses or relays or anything that looks bad... Could the battery fault out and die completely? To where I don't even get gauges? There's an auto zone across the street, I can go get a battery if that'll get me home... They're cheaper elsewhere, but if it saves a tow then it's worth it... Just don't wanna go buy a battery there and then get towed anyways
  7. Okay.. Bike wouldn't start after pumping gas, battery seemed low... Tried bumping it several times unsuccessfully so went home to get car to jump it. I hooked up cables with the vehicles both shut off. When I turned bike key it sparked at positive terminal and now nothing works, no gauges or anything.. Car was off and it was positive to positive negative to negative so idk why it got fucked up, unless this car has some electrical issue it passed to bike, idk Any ideas before I call for a tow? I checked ignition relay and the blades look fine, but idk how these work inside
  8. All the cops out here are on St1300s... DPS at least... City cops I've seen with Concourses, STs, and rarely you will see a Victory or Harley (I've never seen the Victory or HD but I've seen pics so I know there's a couple lurking around)
  9. abcnews.go.com/US/police-pose-panhandlers-off-ramps-catch-distracted-drivers/story?id=32638298 Reminds me of this. Cops standing around like bums writing tickets for texting lol
  10. Just hack a limb off and go on disability for a few months so you can get your riding in.
  11. From what I read, he knew he would be arrested and filmed it to take a stand
  12. Not like they could make it much worse than it is now
  13. When we had to put my first dog down, they let me hold her in my arms and comfort her while she got the shot.. I also couldn't have my last memory of a best friend being me splitting their head open.. I know it's humane and such, just personally couldn't do it when the alternative went so smoothly for me the first time
  14. Yea I knew they work on expensive nice stuff... That's what I figured you were looking for at this point lol
  15. This doesn't really have much to do with your initial question... If you read that pdf, it says the knuckle spacer on the lift kit failed, which caused braking imbalance and caused braking to be affected... It says the mfg took a 3.2Mil settlement for their liability.. So that's more to do with a faulty product than anything... It did say the bumper struck above the safety bars in the door, which would have occurred either way... Interesting read
  16. Damn, already in 2 leagues... Maybe next year, 3 is too much
  17. I hear good things about Achbach in Westerville...but I've never personally had any work done there
  18. or call a body shop and have them do it...they probably already have this roller and will do it for less than 120...worth checking gotta love having 5 posts....stupid edit button
  19. heres a video with link to a roller....when i did mine, i used a piece of 2x4, carefully....but this gives you an idea at least the roller in the video link to buy is in the description...its $120 though....not sure if its something you'd use often enough to buy, but would be a cool tool to have laying around you can youtube other videos to see ways to do it without roller here's another with roller, some more detail
  20. you will have to roll the fenders though....but check youtube, its really simple and explains it
