  1. trucks and suv's would be a good target because many people have a hard time figuring them out. Getting the spare tire out can be a bitch if you have never done it before.

yea, first time i did it i had to look at the booklet that was tucked in the pouch with the rest of my tire changing stuff....my spare is held in by a lock, and its opened through a hole in the rear bumper

  2. It is really popular in foreign countries. I guess schools would be a good target as you are more likely to get a younger person and many of the women are young and unmarried.

i just dont see how i would be a good target....yea its a nice truck so theres a good chance i would have money on me (which is way wrong)....but why not pick a small car with a cheerleading sticker or something on the back of it

  3. Ok well my tire blew out yesterday. I check my tires all the time, checked them before i left my house and got to school fine. Left school and got on the freeway. After 5-6mins of driving my tire blows out, ruining my brand new tire and brand new wheel. I was omw to an interview, so as soon as i pulled over the first thing I did was grab my phone to call them. Literally 5seconds after i stopped on the berm, a car screeches to a halt in front of me. It was to the point i thought something was up and put my truck in D ready to pull away incase they were going to try to rob me or something. The guy gets out and has a jack. So he walks up to my truck and i told him I'm alright and that i can change my tire and he doesn't have to stop. He said no its fine and ran back behind the truck and started to change my tire even though i told him not to. Half way through he starts asking me for money, saying he is risking his life for me *since traffic was literally 3 feet away flying by*...I told him i dont have any money and he kept saying aww man and then i said i could mail him a check because i dont carry those either. Then he started trying to get me to go to an atm, and a cop pulled up. I was getting uneasy because of how much he was pressing the money issue, and was glad to see the cop. Once the cop showed up the guy gave me his name and address to mail him a check and finished the tire quickly and then took off. Kept saying how it was Gods doing that he was helping to try and guilt me. I kinda feel like maybe he put the nail under my tire at school and then followed me until it blew so he could change my tire to try and make some money. He was an older guy, missing tons of teeth, his finger went back the wrong way and kinda flopped around like there was no bone in it; he was a creepy dude. I dont want to press anything or accuse him because he really may just have been trying to help. Has this happened to anyone else? If i can find other people who have had the same thing happen then i will press to do something about it. It was just so coincidental that he was right behind me and stopped almost as quick as i did. It feels like it was set up. If i stopped to help somebody, theres no way i would be asking them for money. I don't carry money around on me, lol ask anyone who knows me; I pay more atm fees than anyone i know. But if this has happened to anyone else on here with the same circumstances, please PM me and let me know and we can talk about it and maybe speak to a police officer and see what they think about the situation...

how do i look up a criminal record check? he said he lives in knox county and gave me an address in fredericktown and his name

  4. sounds like its both of their fault....for her to get t-boned, she would have of had to pull out last minute...as in, even if he was doing 65, she would have unsafely pulled out in front of him... she should have realized he was too close to pull out, regardless of his speed

at the same time....its his fault also for going that fast through an intersection...had he been doing the speed limit perhaps he could have slowed down to avoid hitting her, and maybe she would of had enough time to react instead of just getting t-boned and she could have swirved away

people always say "bikes always get the bad wrap"...you get mad that people always blame the bike, then you go around and always blame the car....its the same game on both sides

  5. can i mix gas in a can and let it sit? the manual with the bike says not to mix more than im going to use in one day and to dispose of the remaining fuel...

ide like to mix about 4 gallons at a time, and it will probably be 2-3months before i use all of it (bike is at my gfs house, and i dont really have anywhere to ride except at her place)

  6. short answer: Yes, a bad or jammed float would make it rev sky high.

Oversize rebuilds usually are in increments of .25mm up to 1mm. For a small piston, anyway. So two more overbores, I suppose. Often the bore can be honed and fresh rings used, without going oversized again. So you have more than two rebuilds left on the motor.

edit: You do know you have to mix oil with the gas for that engine, right? Somewhere between 1:20 ratio and 1:32 ratio would be about right. Check the manual for details. Not motor oil, this is lube oil for mixing with gasoline.

thanks...i know what oil to use, but wasnt sure on mixing gas yet... im gonna buy a repair manual for it and ill check the exact number in there...it was outta gas today, and i put a half gallon of whatever mix my gfs dad had for his chainsaw in it...just to fire it up

  7. Two stroke engines do not have typical valves like 4 strokes. They have an inlet valve aka reed valve. Do some google searches and read up a bitabout your bike and 2 strokes. They are really easy to work on. They tend to need rebuilt more often but it is cheap and easy. Have a blast, the two stroke power on those little 125 is addicting. You go from a no torque at all wimpy bogg, to screaming as pulling power in a blink of an eye!

rebuilt as in? idk how many more times it can be rebuilt lol its already 50 over

  8. just got a yz125... its in great condition for its year, its been worked a bit... 50 over with wiseco piston, fires easy etc....fired it up and it started reving to the moon like it was gonna explode... pulled the carb off and one of the floats had broken off in the past, and instead of soldering it back on, the person put a screw in it...so the float was filling up causing it to run like piss...

im in the process of buying new floats for it, the needle and stuff all works good so im thinkin once i fix the float ill be ok.... does that problem sound float related? or should i check anything else out while the carb is off?

also, what all maintenance should i do before riding it? ive got crankcase oil, coolant, spark plug...anything else im over looking? and tips in general for a 2 stroke bike? ive never been on one, just 4 strokes... i traded my nintendo wii for this bike lol so im ok with it havin some problems

  9. Welcome to the site. Just got a bike inspected. they didnt look at shit. i bet if you explain the situation theyll sign off on it.

If you have any inspection questions let me know.

lol yea i called and explained it to them and they were like "do you know its a felony to ride it uninspected?" i said "no offense, but i dont think my dad cares at this point..." they said since it was totalled over 10 years ago, they can just sign off on it without any receipts etc...i dont understand how he rode it for 11 years, insurance and current tags, without having it inspected lol

  10. Ah no worries, I don't feel like fixing it either haha. And damn...lol keep your right foot under control man!

I would love to do heads and cam on my car (already have intake mani, just an ls6 though, and I have a cam, just not installed), but riding is just too damn fun! I'm sure somewhere along the line I'll get all that done, but I need a new clutch/master cylinder, and the rear end screams at me :( haha so I doubt doing H/C would help that situation too much...

    im working on it!

  11. Haha yeah that's right, didn't you have your license suspended for a while? You're pretty young too, but given the type of bike your insurance shouldn't be TOO bad once those tickets drop off. Once you really get out there on the road I'm sure you'll be hooked, I know I am. My Camaro is on hold indefinitely, just gonna daily drive it and sink all my money into this new obsession.

    yep...twice x.x

my last quote wasnt too bad, but definately not great... 100 a month for full coverage...so im gonna wait till these tickets go away and see what i can get

    hci camaro = win

my gfs mom didnt seem too into that bike youre selling, sorry lol...she doesnt want a project i guess, even though it seemed like an easy fix

  12. Welcome to the site Tyler, I'm the same Bigbird from CR (99BigbirdSS). When you get that thing together we'll go ride if you want.

sounds good man! mustang is nickle and diming me to death at the moment, so the bike is on hold...it just needs maintenance (all fluids) and an inspection then i should be good to go, just gotta see what insurance will be...gonna wait till next spring to get a quote since ill have a few tickets drop off in october this year

  13. Do yourself a favor and use the clutch. Or get rid of the max and get the new FJR.

You WILL cause irregular wear if you are constantly shifting without using the clutch.

i was told using the clutch is bad lol...guess the guy who told me doesnt really know that well...

ive only rode this bike one time, and it was to the gas station to put gas in it...like .5miles

i just wanted to make sure im doing it right before i start riding...i thought it was odd when he told me to not use the clutch
