  1. true story!!! there are alot of people still riding down here. So far most of the ones I have seen are riding sensibly with plenty gear on! Granted if they are on base they are required by law to where their helmets so thats a good thing for sure. Its been killin me to be in this nice ass weather and not be able to ride..

ive been seeing the opposite around here... plenty of people out riding, and most of the ones i see are not wearing any gear... even on the cold cold days... no idea how those harley people manage to ride in 50 degrees with no helmet, my face would turn to ice

  2. Yeah, Roger is a toolbox though. Don't ever let him talk you into paying him for anything. No matter what. He may have gotten his shit into the 9s, but he's incapable of building a kit for anyone else. Swindled quite a few people through the GTO community. But that's beside the point.

never knew this...only seen him at track days, and once at jegs

    /thread jack lol

  3. yea...my dad bought it brand new and then got t-boned by a stolen car when it was like 2 months old...he bought it back from insurance and fixed it (just some cosmetic damage) and kept riding it...renewed tags through the mail, and the insurance company never caught on....so now its 12 years old with 17k miles and still never got inspected...since i inherited the bike, i have no receipts for anything, but the people at the sheriff office said it should be no problem, both times ive called

so i just gotta get it down there and get it inspected so i can get a rebuilt title and then get some plates for it...the plates on it now in my pics are my dads plates, just havent gotten around to taking them off of it yet

  4. I think I read somewhere you can ride it to the inspection station. It's just getting cold now.

yea i have a paper that says im legal to ride it...but i do not have insurance on it at the moment so i prefer to not ride it

  5. Thats so far away its hard to say what my schedule will be like, but if I'm around I have no problem doing it...I can let u know closer to the time being, but for now, if no one else can, I can probably swing it!

thanks man i will keep you in mind if i cant get anyone else to lock something in

worst case scenario is i have to ride it and just be extremely careful lol

  6. i need to take my bike to alum creek bmv to get it inspected *its a salvage title bike, getting it inspected to get tags*

the inspection is on december 9th at 12 15...i live in blacklick (near reynoldsburg)

anyone around here that would be willing to come pick me and the bike up and trailer it down there for me? ill pay for gas....been talking to an insurance broker and instead of starting my policy, im going to wait until april because i will have 2 things fall off of my record and save a fair amount of money....ive had the bike out a few times but never gone far...dont really feel comfortable riding to alum creek on it in december with no insurance lol

if anyone is available to help me out, and is positive they will be able to show up and wont cancel, let me know please....i need to find something reliable so i can plan around it

    thanks

  7. tbutera2112 - please see this ^ response, it gives a clue to my suspicion

on CR we posted up and told him to do that...his original dilemma was that the title said gift on it, and was scratched out and said 3000 and they wouldnt process it

he called the guy back and he wouldnt answer, and his voice mail said "JR", but the title said a different name....so he assumed something was up because he couldnt get the guy to answer...we told him to jsut get a new frame and be done with it

a day or two later, he drove to dayton and found the guy whose name was on the title, they went to the bmv together and got it all worked out, so now he would no longer need the frame, and thats most likely just an old post (and by old, i DO in fact mean like 2 or 3 days ago lol)

  8. Shit, seems like I'm getting off with a damn good deal for full coverage. The only catch is a $1000 deduct. If it was $500, then it would be $1700/year.

who do you use? im currently shopping for insurance, talking to two different brokers about what they can do for me right now....im hating this retarded progressive 6-pay shit...i wanna pay monthly, not double payments for 6 months then no payment for 6 months

  9. maybe when trying to figure out if it was a 600 or 750 (because of the bodywork issue) he ran the vin and didn't like what he saw. So after you find out you bought a stolen bike just try and find a new frame so that you can swap them and nobody is the wiser.

he posted up about this bike before he even bought it on CR...the bike is legit, not the stolen one people were mentioning...as for the displacement...i couldnt tell you, but it seems reasonable that it got wrecked and someone put 600 plastics on it, rather than a 750 frame...never know i suppose though

  10. 19, 2 speeding, 2 accidents

1100/6 months for full coverage on my 04 saab 9-3

200 every 6 months for my 99 mustang gt (sitting insurance only...project car)

and the vmax is about 1200 a year liability up to 250k

when i was driving my mustang, it was 800 every 6months, so 1600 a year for full coverage.... i got quoted on an 01 cobra just a month ago and it was 1400 every 6 months

  11. You've got to be fucking kidding me...

    Who supercharges a 3.8L stang? :lol::lol::lol:

the same guy who buys a 750 street bike when he is insurable... he carries an sr22

he SCd the sixxer because insurance quote on him upgrading to a mach1 was worth more than the car..so he had to work with what he has...

he says he doenst have insurance on the bike because he doesnt want to...i think its because he cant afford it
