Haha yea, I couldn't shoot the left lane as much because I ran the risk of having the right lane car roll into the shot or the guy working the water box would walk in front. It happened a few times in the beginning so I just gave up and shot the right lane only.

Like I said in the other thread, I was the guy with the big ass camera sitting at the starting line all day. I FINALLY got done with all of the pictures. My computer is not suited for mass resizes and such. With that being said, if anyone would like a high res I'd like to get some money for the time invested so how's $2 for one shot, as big as your computer can handle. If not, here's some small versions for you to have. There seems to be a small hair on the sensor of my camera, I'll have to get that cleaned this week. I'll edit it out for any high res pictures. Thanks for setting up the event! I didn't really talk to anyone since I'm new and didn't know anyone but I was the loser with the big camera taking pictures at the start. My quads are sore as hell from squating for 4 hours. It made for an interesting time walking this morning for the Walk Now for Autism event at the Cincinnati Zoo.

Saw your post on AP, thought the pictures looked familiar. I don't think your location does the car any justice. When I think Lexus, an image of loading docks doesn't come to mind. As far as the pictures are concerned, I would say 4 is your strangest one, but you placed the car smack dab in the middle, that makes for a static image in my opinion. 1 is pretty cool too, but again the background is a little drab. The others seem to be a bit overexposed too. I hope I don't come off as an asshole, I just thought I'd put my comments over here instead of on AP. If you want, I can remove my comments.

I totally agree, if I'm asked for advice by someone thinking about getting more involved with photography I always recommend buying glass first for two reasons: One, you can turn a decent camera into a good one with quality glass. I managed to impress quite a lot of people with my 300d and L series glass combo. Another advantage to this route is the potential resale value of glass is much better if you lose your motivation to pursue photography. My only slight regret is that I wish I would have waited for the replacement of the 5d to come out. But hey, I couldn't wait.

Sherman is very obedient and loyal to me. I attribute this to two things, he is a purebred Aussie and they are notoriously loyal to their family, and I know the previous owner beat the crap out of him at an early age so I'm sure he's a little more attached to me than normal. You are right though, 3 isn't his personality at all. He sure does love his sticks though, I just happened to catch him at a moment where he looked ferocious I'm shooting with a Canon 5d Thank you for the advice with the AV fill, I'll have to give that a whirl the next time I head out to practice. The lens used for this shoot was my 70-200mm f2.8L IS shot on a my new 5d. I personally wanted to get a 1DMKIII but didn't have the cash to get one so I "settled" with the 5d. I've been doing a lot of studying up on how to utilize my Speedlites to their full ability. Prior to today I had never shot manual flash, instead I would use the built in ETTL system since I have the IR Transmitter. Sherman, my trusty sidekick, was happy to have my attention for about 45 min. on our walk tonight. Man, I'm sorry. I would be completely devastated if that happened to my Aussie. Ever since I've grown up our dogs have been family members to us. I remember being let home early from school back when the dog I grew up with was put to sleep. At least your pup is no longer suffering.

I heard that on the news this morning, she is a hero indeed. She paid the ultimate price to save a life.

I don't really have anymore car shots, unfortunately we didn't get to spend too much time there and I felt a bit awkward walking around with my camera. I can't tell you how many times I was asked if I was shooting for someone. I have some other random shots non auto related if you'd like to see them. Nothing I would write home about, by any means. On another note, I did go to Chicago this past weekend and I have some shots of the Veyron at Gold Coast Lamborghini as well as other vacation pictures. Also, since I try not to bombard websites with my pictures, feel free to check out my photo blog. It's got most of my recent outings posted up. I haven't gotten to the Atlanta or Chicago trips yet since I've been rather busy lately.

Well it doesn't help that you drive an Audi who on average have the best interiors of any car manufacture (barring Ferrari's and the likes). Although it must be noted that I particularly enjoy BMW's having owned 2 of them in the past.

You know, I think it's just one of those things where it's a little too crazy to be true. I read a few accounts, including Bernie's, that were denouncing the source saying that it was false accusations. Who the hell really knows though.

Haha, I've learned my lesson on trying to have two nice cars at once. I don't have the cash flow to be able to pull that off! However, the car that donated it's powerplant for my car did get a WRX swap, so that makes it kinda cool right? haha
