  1. I can't tell you how many times I've watched almost all these videos. These two are also pretty good. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hvDDDKnNhuE Here are some pictures I took on our cruise in December at St. Maarten. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v443/Sco0terzsl/Cruise/IMG_6717.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v443/Sco0terzsl/Cruise/IMG_6771.jpg
  2. Good! I'm glad you like them. Cool! Thanks, I was pretty happy to stumble upon a large puddle with the background like it is. Sherman is an Australian Shepherd. More specifically he is a Blue Merle Aussie which basically means he has gray, black, and tan coloring. Thanks! You are correct! Sherman just turned 4 and we're just now starting to get into the "calm" stage. He definitely has a lot of energy still.
  3. 11 http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v443/Sco0terzsl/Winter%20Walk/IMG_7573copy.jpg 12 http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v443/Sco0terzsl/Winter%20Walk/IMG_7534copy.jpg If you want you can check out more of these pictures on my blog. Then Yesterday I went on a drive to check out a golf course that I applied to. It is a very exclusive private club in the richest part of the city, so I brought my camera along just in case I found a cool spot to take pictures at. While I was driving through a park there were 3 deer right by the edge of the road. So I drove off and put my camera together and then came back and to my surprise they were still there. I then stumbled upon another one as I was circling around to get some more pictures. Here are my favorites of that bunch. 13 http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v443/Sco0terzsl/Winter%20Walk/IMG_7643copy.jpg 14 http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v443/Sco0terzsl/Winter%20Walk/IMG_7653copy.jpg 15 http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v443/Sco0terzsl/Winter%20Walk/IMG_7651copy.jpg Finally I stopped and took some pictures of the MINI since I just cleaned it. Unfortunately while driving around it got dirty again so yea... 16 http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v443/Sco0terzsl/06%20Mini%20Cooper%20S/IMG_7688copy.jpg 17 http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v443/Sco0terzsl/06%20Mini%20Cooper%20S/IMG_7713copy.jpg 18 http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v443/Sco0terzsl/06%20Mini%20Cooper%20S/IMG_7678copy.jpg Thanks for taking a gander.
  4. Well I've been giving the camera a little bit of a workout lately. First off, last week Alexi and I took Sherman around one of the local parks down here in Cincinnati during the snow storm. So I guess I will share those first. 1 http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v443/Sco0terzsl/Winter%20Walk/IMG_7517copy.jpg 2 http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v443/Sco0terzsl/Winter%20Walk/IMG_7575copy.jpg 3 http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v443/Sco0terzsl/Winter%20Walk/IMG_7552copy.jpg 4 http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v443/Sco0terzsl/Winter%20Walk/IMG_7542copy.jpg 5 http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v443/Sco0terzsl/Winter%20Walk/IMG_7529copy.jpg 6 http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v443/Sco0terzsl/Winter%20Walk/IMG_7567copy.jpg 7 http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v443/Sco0terzsl/Winter%20Walk/IMG_7547copy.jpg 8 http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v443/Sco0terzsl/Winter%20Walk/IMG_7557copy.jpg 9 http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v443/Sco0terzsl/Winter%20Walk/IMG_7561copy.jpg 10 http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v443/Sco0terzsl/Winter%20Walk/IMG_7536copy.jpg
  5. Great pictures! 4x4 puppy is by far my favorite!
  6. Alright, instead of doing a thousand quotes I'm just going to try and answer everything in one long post. To the post directly above: Yea, I actually had a couple other shots where the shadow wasn't on the speedo, but the city was cut off. Unfortunately I didn't have very much time to play with the interior shot since I had run and pick something up. But, I agree with you about the shadow and you were right, there were two flashes shooting through the windows. Except for minor post processing, the images are how they are straight from the camera. Most of the time all I did was fix the ding on the front of the car and then resize the picture. The effect of the HDR is from my use of off camera flash. For the exterior pictures I had 3 strobes, one in the front, one in my hand shooting the front wheel and then one in the rear. All the shots where with bare strobes and no diffusers or umbrellas. The city is actually Cincinnati shot from Covington, KY. The bridge on the left is the Roebling bridge which I believe was designed by the guy who designed the brooklyn bridge. One day I'm going to get a shot of the car on that bridge itself but for now I'm happy with just getting it in the shots. About the interior, I will admit that at first I wasn't too excited about the speedometer in the middle of the car. I was pleasantly surprised on my first test drive that there is a digital display on the bottom part of the rev counter. You can have it display the speed, outside temp, mpg, average mpg, average speed, and miles to empty. I hardly use the speedo in the middle. I'm glad you guys enjoy my pictures whether you like the car or not! I'll keep sharing with you all as I go out and play with my dingy.
  7. Well I took advantage of the nice weather the past couple days by washing the car and taking it out on a much needed photo adventure. I hadn't picked up the camera for quite some time so it was good to get out and stretch my trigger finger a bit. Here are some of the keepers. 1 http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v443/Sco0terzsl/06%20Mini%20Cooper%20S/IMG_7490copy.jpg 2 http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v443/Sco0terzsl/06%20Mini%20Cooper%20S/IMG_7432copy.jpg 3 http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v443/Sco0terzsl/06%20Mini%20Cooper%20S/IMG_7414copy.jpg 4 http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v443/Sco0terzsl/06%20Mini%20Cooper%20S/IMG_7451copy.jpg
  8. I thought the office rowing was brilliant.
  9. No it did not, that was an additional $300 that I had to spend since work screwed me over on my days off. I was supposed to have the Friday before off and the Monday after off so I could drive down there. Bastards. I hear ya, I miss it already. But I guess that's a good thing since now I am actually working on the honeymoon earlier than I was planning. Yes it did, Deck 3 had a casino with tables and slots and such. I learned on my 21st birthday that I should never gamble because I tend to lose too much money so when my friends went to the casino, I just went to the bar.
  10. 7 nights. We left Miami on Sunday afternoon around 4:30 and got off the boat in Miami by 7am on Sunday morning. I think you could stay on the boat until 9 or 10 though but I had to catch a flight.
  11. Definitely do it! This was my first cruise ever and the majority of the time was spent walking around in awe. I will go again, next time it will probably be just the future wife and myself. Just remember, the booze isn't free. Everything else is though. It certainly was, enjoy yours! I was pretty upset that I didn't get to spend any time in Miami itself. I had to work the day before I left and the day after I arrived so I wasn't able to explore the city. A few of my friends went down on Friday night and partied there both Friday and Saturday nights. I think that would be the way to go instead of flying in and taking the bus straight to the ship (which is what I did). It was $800 for the cabin and food/drink (no pop or alcohol). I think it was about $40 for unlimited Coca Cola for the week. We snuck on our own alcohol in 4 gallon sized Motts Apple Juice jugs and 1 gallon Cranberry Juice jug, but we still spent quite a bit on the ship as well, mostly wines. Excursions cost extra money, but we did the scooters which I think is the best way to see the islands in such a short amount of time. All in all I spent a little over $1000 on the trip. The pictures are straight out of the camera. It would have been way to much time and effort to edit all 519 accordingly. The graveyard shot was a long exposure using ambient light. I didn't have a tripod with me so to compensate I either found something to put it on (like in that picture) or I would crank up the ISO to about 1000 or so. Luckily the 5d does extremely well with noise reduction.
  12. 31 This is the view looking back over all the pools and such at night. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v443/Sco0terzsl/Cruise/Favorites/IMG_6914copy.jpg 32 The 4 story formal dining room with our badass waiter, Milton. He was from Jamaica and was full of awesome stories. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v443/Sco0terzsl/Cruise/Favorites/IMG_7191copy.jpg 33 http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v443/Sco0terzsl/Cruise/Favorites/IMG_7196copy.jpg 34 The Sunrise after staying up all night boozing. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v443/Sco0terzsl/Cruise/Favorites/IMG_7228copy.jpg 35 The group, minus me, who stayed up all night. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v443/Sco0terzsl/Cruise/Favorites/IMG_7254copy.jpg 36 One of the couples asked me to snap a shot of them, I don't care how cheesy the picture is. That's a sweet shot. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v443/Sco0terzsl/Cruise/Favorites/IMG_7265copy.jpg 37 During the day another cruise ship sailed along with us through the islands. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v443/Sco0terzsl/Cruise/Favorites/IMG_7278copy.jpg 38 The group on the last night along with Milton and our other waiter (who doesn't seem to pleased with us taking him away from his duties). http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v443/Sco0terzsl/Cruise/Favorites/IMG_7354copy.jpg Well, that's all I've got for now. I hope you enjoyed the pictures a fraction as much as I enjoyed the trip. Thanks for taking a look!
  13. 21 I woke up early the next morning to watch us pull into port at St. Maarten. It was about 5:30am EST when I got to the front of the ship. I was the only one there for a good hour. Out in the distance I could see a rain shower move about along the horizon and we had seabirds floating just off the bow. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v443/Sco0terzsl/Cruise/Favorites/IMG_6485copy.jpg 22 http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v443/Sco0terzsl/Cruise/Favorites/IMG_6597copy.jpg 23 http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v443/Sco0terzsl/Cruise/Favorites/IMG_6640copy.jpg 24 The view down the edge of the ship. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v443/Sco0terzsl/Cruise/Favorites/IMG_6667copy.jpg 25 After we moored (look at me using all these sailing terms) our group split up, some of us renting scooters again and others taking a taxi up to go on a zip line. I promised Alexi I would wait to do the zip line for the first time on our honeymoon so I was back on the scooters (which I would have chosen anyway). We went to the beach which is right at the end of the runway on the Dutch side of the island. If you google St. Maarten you can see that large 747's land there just feet above your head. We were lucky enough to get two largish jets to come in while we were there. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v443/Sco0terzsl/Cruise/Favorites/IMG_6717copy.jpg 26 http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v443/Sco0terzsl/Cruise/Favorites/IMG_6770copy.jpg 27 http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v443/Sco0terzsl/Cruise/Favorites/IMG_6771copy.jpg 28 Next we went to the French side of the island and found this amazing beach tucked away with what seemed like only locals. We stayed there and drank some crazy home made liquor and talked with the bartender for an hour before meeting up with the group at another beach and heading back to the ship. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v443/Sco0terzsl/Cruise/Favorites/IMG_6777copy.jpg 29 After St. Maarten we had another two day cruise back to Miami. The first night back on the boat a few of us decided to pull an all nighter so I documented the not so spectacular sunset on the boat. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v443/Sco0terzsl/Cruise/Favorites/IMG_6849copy.jpg 30 http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v443/Sco0terzsl/Cruise/Favorites/IMG_6891copy.jpg
  14. 11 We walked by this above water graveyard on our way to the fort. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v443/Sco0terzsl/Cruise/Favorites/IMG_6192copy.jpg 12 The Fort. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v443/Sco0terzsl/Cruise/Favorites/IMG_6198copy.jpg 13 Getting back on the boat to head out. We sailed on the Freedom of the Seas. The biggest cruise liner in the world. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v443/Sco0terzsl/Cruise/Favorites/IMG_6240copy.jpg 14 We woke up the next day already pulled into harbor at St. Thomas. After breakfast we rented scooters and explored the island. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v443/Sco0terzsl/Cruise/Favorites/IMG_6297copy.jpg 15 http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v443/Sco0terzsl/Cruise/Favorites/IMG_6331copy.jpg 16 http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v443/Sco0terzsl/Cruise/Favorites/IMG_6356copy.jpg 17 http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v443/Sco0terzsl/Cruise/Favorites/IMG_6369copy.jpg 18 http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v443/Sco0terzsl/Cruise/Favorites/IMG_6382copy.jpg 19 http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v443/Sco0terzsl/Cruise/Favorites/IMG_6409copy.jpg 20 Later on at night after we had sailed away from St. Thomas, this is the surfing wave (the name escapes me) at the back of the ship. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v443/Sco0terzsl/Cruise/Favorites/IMG_6466copy.jpg
  15. Well, for those of you who didn't notice (which is pretty much everyone I assume), I went away on a week vacation before the holidays. It was a group of 13 of my friends who remained close after high school. We hadn't gotten this group together in years, so it was quite the week. Anyhoo, we shoved out of Miami on a Sunday evening and sailed two days to San Juan, Puerto Rico. We spent a few hours in the port there before heading to St. Thomas and finally finishing it off on St. Maarten. We got back early in the morning on the following Sunday, thus concluding the trip. Here are some of my favorite pictures out of the +500 keepers that I have saved. 1 Shoving out of Miami http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v443/Sco0terzsl/Cruise/Favorites/IMG_5717copy.jpg 2 My friend jumping for joy to be on the ship and moving http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v443/Sco0terzsl/Cruise/Favorites/IMG_5749copy.jpg 3 Out in the middle of the ocean (we sailed on the Atlantic side going to PR) we we probably a mile from this ship when we ended up passing. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v443/Sco0terzsl/Cruise/Favorites/IMG_5759copy.jpg 4 The first sight of land after 2 days of sailing, the following pictures are of our entrance into San Juan. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v443/Sco0terzsl/Cruise/Favorites/IMG_5784copy.jpg 5 http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v443/Sco0terzsl/Cruise/Favorites/IMG_5896copy.jpg 6 http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v443/Sco0terzsl/Cruise/Favorites/IMG_5908copy.jpg 7 http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v443/Sco0terzsl/Cruise/Favorites/IMG_5949copy.jpg 8 We ended up finding a bar at a high class hotel (5 stars) and we sat there and drank. This is a funky statue on the outside. The other two are from around the hotel. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v443/Sco0terzsl/Cruise/Favorites/IMG_6107copy.jpg 9 http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v443/Sco0terzsl/Cruise/Favorites/IMG_6143copy.jpg 10 http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v443/Sco0terzsl/Cruise/Favorites/IMG_6154copy.jpg
  16. Fuck, why can't we get a god damn fucking bowl win! I agree with Eddie, I'm not confident on that spot. But that is the way of football.
  17. You have got to be kidding me.
  18. BUUUUUUULLL SHIT! Edit: Is it the ball or the feet where it's spotted?
  19. They marked it way too far!
  20. That's a shitty spot. That's a really shitty spot!
  21. It's all about the spot.
  22. I want Tressel to bust some skulls.
