  1. If you suspected domestic violence was occuring, what would you do? In this hypothetical, these are not family or close friends, more aquaintences. And I don't 'know' anything, but I have a suspicion.
  2. On my 2010 600RR, the lights go on with the key not the starter. Sounds like a relay to me.
  3. But he said it wasn't a tax when he was selling it to the American people
  4. This article is based in sheer stupidity. The headline is intentionally misleading. First off the overwhelming majority of 401k plans don't offer investments is any particular stocks other than the employer itself. Pretty much all 401k plans offer options like 2020, 2030 mutual funds or index funds which pretty much span all sectors of the stock market...tech, pharm, energy, medical, manufacturing, etc. That is what is offered by 401k plan vendors like Fidelity, T Rowe Price, etc, etc. This notion of being hyprocritical by going with the plans provided by a 401k vendor is well...stupid. If you invest in a Manufacturing mutual fund that literally touches thousands and thousands of products, does that mean you are aware and support all of them? Hell no.
  5. That is true to a degree. I don't think RR or Clinton would have topped the list...maybe when Lewisnsky was still on the front page. The only thing that kind of surprised me in that article is that W already is less disliked than Barry O.

  7. The days of a badge automatically commanding genuine respect are over. You can thank your local militarized police force for that. Kicking a cop is never going to end well.
  8. Next time you're near Elkins you need to ride the WV33 mountain pass into VA. It's one of the best stretches of asphalt anywhere
  9. I have a pair of BILT moisture wicking warm weather pants (think knock off Under Armor). They seem to work OK, but they do show wear after going through the washing machine a few times. They'll be fine for a season, possibly 2. I think they cost me 20 bucks.
  10. I rode WV 250 from Moundsville to Hundred last week. When in good shape that is a great stretch of road. Unfortunately, it's in awful shape right now and should be avoided until it gets repaved. WV7 from Hundred to New Martinsville, is in decent shape. That's as far as I've made it into WV this season.
  11. Another thing to consider is resale value, which only matters if you plan to sell it some day. I'll bet you a dollar it'll be worth less with the 180 conversion than it would be stock.
  12. Agreed. It will feel less 'flickable' with a 180, which is probably the best thing about the SV650.
  13. I am am leaning... 1st choice CTX700 - Kind of scooter/cruiser hybrid. I'll bet you can buy them deeply discounted. 2nd 400-600cc scootor. Who knows, it could even be fun. 3rd some crappy cruiser that isn't super heavy & with reasonable ground clearance. M50, 883R, Shadow Phantom, etc.
  14. Mixed driving. My previous vehicle was a Trailblazer, I like the Flex 10 times better.
  15. Not exactly an SUV, but I really like my Ford Flex Limited. MPG is 23ish and it has as much room inside as an Expedition. I bought it out of necessity as a kid hauler, but it's my favorite 4 wheeled vehicle to date.
  16. I've never owned one, but I am not totally opposed to something like a Burgman or a Silverwing.
  17. I actually used to have a Z750S. She is 5' 2" and wasn't interested in trying to ride that one. An FZ6 might be an option, and it has FI.
  18. That's closer to what I am thinking. I might even start looking at 600cc scooters.
  19. I'll probably own a Ninja 1000 or a FJR eventually, but now I am looking for something smaller that would be less intimidating for a newer rider.
  20. I've even thought about one of these with a backrest
  21. This is pretty much where I'm at. I could always find something like a V Star 650 or one of the smaller Honda Shadows. I would imagine they could handle highway speeds two up. She won't want to go fast anyway. Not sure I want to open my garage to see a cruiser sitting in there every day Also, I can't stand the look of chrome, and refuse to spend time cleaning or polishing it.
  22. What are some ideas for a good two up bike? I'm trying to get the GF back into going on rides, so passenger comfort is high on the list. Two up spirited rides are probably not on the menu. I don't think we'll be spending more than 2 hour on the bike. Something lightweight that she could ride solo once in a while would be a bonus. I just can't bend my mind around buying a cruiser or cruiser gear. I am not crazy about the CTX700, but it does meet most of my criteria...what are some better ideas?
  23. not sure. Maybe you'd have to cut it down.
