  1. Isn't that only true if you're not wise enough to negotiate the residual value at the time of the lease?
  2. There's no way I would ride a motorcycle at those heights
  3. The design looks to have a lot of influence from Star Trek.
  4. I am afraid to own another GM vehicle after my Trailblazer. At 70k the motor and trans were solid, but pretty much everything else fell apart at once. I had something like $5.5k in repairs over 8 different issues that all happened within a few months. I may lease another GM, but I wouln't buy.
  5. Who is for sure for Sunday? Me MidgetTodd Jschaf who else? Forecast is 84 and mostly sunny with 0% rain.
  6. Maybe a mod can change the date on the title to aviod confusion?
  7. Someone can still lead a Saturday ride, just not me. I will lead Sunday. Same time, same route. This is why I shouldn't plan rides too far in advance.
  8. For sporty bikes...new paint, new parts, or custom = wrecked and trying to hide damage
  9. OP changed. I am not able to ride Saturday, moving to Sunday. ** I will be with kids Saturday due to a changing work schedule, so I am moving my ride to Sunday. A Saturday can still happen, but someone else will need to step up and lead it.** Sunday will have better weather anyway.
  10. I actully responded to this craigslist ad, this FZ1 is sold (not to me).
  11. Like UP said, I am more patient about passing motorcyles than cars.
  12. I don't have you pegged as an asshat, but I've been wrong before Seriously, every time I've encountered bikes swinging left of center to block a pass, it's been a group of Harleys specifically...not just a group of cruisers. I've never seen a solo HD/cruiser do it. I've never seen a group of sport tourers or Goldwings do it. I chalk it up to HD herd mentality...If one Harley is badass, then a group must be super badass.
  13. ^^ He should be ready to deal if it's been for sale for a month.
  14. I'd happily let a group of HDs pass me when I'm on the CBR Maybe next time I pass a group of really slow HDs, I'll get in front and go even slower.
  15. Here you go. $2300. http://akroncanton.craigslist.org/mcy/4456357492.html
  16. Years ago I got some really good advice from one of the most skilled riders (street & track) that I've ever ridden with. On the street, don't finish your turns near the double yellow...this is for right handers specifically. Start your right turn as far to the left as possible and finish as far to the right as possible. This isn't the fastest race line, but when you have some lazy cager coming the other way and they drift into your lane to start their turn, you'll be in the best position to avoid them. This has saved my skin many times.
  17. If a Blast met your power needs than the 250 probably would also. But... That Bandit or an SV650 can be had for under 2500, and are better bkes in more ways than just power. Plus, I hear very few people complaining that their bike has too much hp and it ruins their fun.
  18. I thought the belt drive on the F800 was pretty cool until I found out new belts are $450 each. I don't hate chains that much.
  19. Hate to say it but I am starting to believe this. I tried to buy a loaded F800S last week. There are sooo many known problems on that bike it's scary. Apparently the pistons aren't sized correctly on some years and the motor will start eating itself around 10k
  20. This is why I shouldn't post rides too far in advance. ...it turns out that I may not be able to ride on Sat. I may have to watch kids to due to a changing work schedule. If that's the case I'll ride the same route Sunday instead. A Saturday can still happpen, I just might not be able to make it. I should know for sure by Tuesday.
  21. I'll ride sunday if I can avoid rain.
