  1. If you can find one...the B4 is super fun in the corners :-)
  2. I rode a 2004 gs a few weeks ago. It seemed a lot less capable.than an SV and significantly less power. In fairness to the gs,I didn't get to ride it on very fun roads.
  3. ^^^^ Good way to spend 3 days. A few years ago, I did about 2k over 4 days mostly in WV, but also MD and VA. Best sportbike roads I've ridden.

  5. ^^^ Good sugestion. http://www.motorcyclistonline.com/flashback/122_0911_the_pace_nick_ienatsch/ I think this part is especially good: THE PACE The Pace focuses on bike control and de-emphasizes outright speed. Full-throttle acceleration and last minute braking aren't part of the program, effectively eliminating the two most common single-bike accident scenarios in sport riding. Cornering momentum is the name of the game, stressing strong, forceful inputs at the handlebar to place the bike correctly at the entrance of the turn and get it flicked in with little wasted time and distance. Since the throttle wasn't slammed open at the exit of the last corner, the next corner doesn't require much, if any, braking. It isn't uncommon to ride with our group and not see a brake light flash all morning. If the brakes are required, the front lever gets squeezed smoothly, quickly and with a good deal of force to set entrance speed in minimum time. Running in on the brakes is tantamount to running off the road, a confession that you're pushing too hard and not getting your entrance speed set early enough because you stayed on the gas too long. Running The Pace decreases your reliance on the throttle and brakes, the two easiest controls to abuse, and hones your ability to judge cornering speed, which is the most thrilling aspect of performance street riding. ---- IMO, this is the biggest difference between riding fast on a track and riding fast on the street.
  6. I've only met Jinx once or twice then he was gone :KeyserSoze
  7. I wasn't part of your ride so I don't know what happened. I have struggled with these same thoughts before after a few unplanned events on group rides. For a couple years I did just that, only ride with people that I was already comfortable riding with. Even with a good pre ride talk, a spirited group ride has a lot of variables and everyone is going to react differently. It's easy to get caught up in the moment and things can happen real fast I don't mind riding with new people, although I prefer only 1 or 2 per ride. More than that and I will slow down (if I'm leading) or hang in the back and and try to get a feel for each rider in the group. Riding in big groups (more than 5 or 6) seems a little too chaotic for my tastes. I have left plenty of group rides when the vibe didn't feel right :dunno
  8. Sorry to hear about the events... There was a CORE ride in the area on Sunday. We saw a red ZX10 and a red Busa at 83/93 around 10a. Was that this group? Pretty sure I've ridden with Tigerdoug once before 3 or 4 years ago.
  9. The moment of life doesn't occur until I add you to my contact list.
  10. Indentifying yourself as a Democrat or a Republican is pointless. These are just two halves of a broken system. I would be ashamed to refer to myself as either. The people in contol of both parties are smart enough to solve our nation's problems if that was truely their goal. Early Americans that created this country were are afraid of big government. They didn't want government to have the authority or reach to be able to interfere with personal liberties & freedom. That was pretty much the point of that thing called the American Revolution. Today we are mired in unnecessary legislation and closely resemble that goverment that the first Americans found intolerable
  11. The difficulty of a job really isn't a major factor in setting compensation levels. There is a strong correlation between compensation and how quickly a replacement can be found & trained to do that particular job. If you have a special skill or necessary certification that is difficult to obtain, companies have no choice but to pay you more. If a replacement can be found and trained in a matter a of days...guess what. I won't argue if that is good or bad, but it is a fact. Anyone who knows how HR works would say the same thing.
  12. Uhhh....not even close. People with a low level of qualifications tend to have lower paying, less desirable jobs. People that have higher level of qualifications, initiative, or a proven work history at lower level jobs tend to be able to land more desireable positions. Of course there are exceptions. Circle of life. Hakuna Matata bitches.
  13. Interesting anology. Being misinformed isn't terrible. However, being misinformed and convinced you are right is a dangerous combination. I will consider this when I read your posts.
  14. You don't think that banks, or gyms, or any number of businesses purposely make it difficult to leave??? They want the forms to be too much of a pita.

Personally, I find headlight modulators to be super annoying.
  16. At least 10. There is a chance that they may never recover. Top prospects won't be going to PSU anytime soon. It will be a big challenge to get a top tier coach to take over this program. PSU was one of the top 5 revenue generating football programs (last I read). This will cost PSU way more than $60 million: -Enrollment will probably be down at the University as a whole -TV revenue will drop significantly. I doubt they will get much if any national coverage. -No bowl revenue for at least 4 years. -Merchandise sales will probably taper off. That adds up to a LOT. I know PSU has a loyal fan base, but it's going to take a lot more than that.
  17. They got what they deserved. No one has any tolerance for predatory kid fuckers or those who protect predatory kid fuckers. I hope Dottie Sundusky get charged as complicit in all this.
  18. Can't you hide a meth lab under these
  19. btw... I got this http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Samsung+-+7.2+Cu.+Ft.+9-Cycle+Ultra-Large+Capacity+Electric+Dryer+-+White/5021538.p?id=1218597394765&skuId=5021538 and this http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Samsung+-+4.2+Cu.+Ft.+9-Cycle+Top-Loading+Washer+-+White/5021501.p?id=1218597396724&skuId=5021501 If you can wait a few weeks, the sale prices on these can be significant. I was between LG and Samsung. Just so happened Samsung was on sale the week I bought them.
  20. For the bearings... they are located behind/under the center of the wash tub. On a top load, weight is balanced directly over the bearing. On a top load, the weight is hanging in front of the main bearing. I can't speak to how frequently they actually fail. But I heard the exact same comment from 2 people that fix them.
  21. I just went through this. I spoke to a couple people that repair appliances (friends of friends). The verdict seems to be that front load washers look cool, but they WILL EVENTUALLY LEAK. The door seals eventually go bad, they are more prone to bearing failures, and more likely to have issues with mold. I was going to go with a front load washer, but my mind was changed by people that fix them for a living. I wound up with a Samsung top loader. No regrets.
