Uhhh....not even close. People with a low level of qualifications tend to have lower paying, less desirable jobs. People that have higher level of qualifications, initiative, or a proven work history at lower level jobs tend to be able to land more desireable positions. Of course there are exceptions. At least 10. There is a chance that they may never recover. Top prospects won't be going to PSU anytime soon. It will be a big challenge to get a top tier coach to take over this program. PSU was one of the top 5 revenue generating football programs (last I read). This will cost PSU way more than $60 million: -Enrollment will probably be down at the University as a whole -TV revenue will drop significantly. I doubt they will get much if any national coverage. -No bowl revenue for at least 4 years. -Merchandise sales will probably taper off. That adds up to a LOT. I know PSU has a loyal fan base, but it's going to take a lot more than that.

For the bearings... they are located behind/under the center of the wash tub. On a top load, weight is balanced directly over the bearing. On a top load, the weight is hanging in front of the main bearing. I can't speak to how frequently they actually fail. But I heard the exact same comment from 2 people that fix them.

I just went through this. I spoke to a couple people that repair appliances (friends of friends). The verdict seems to be that front load washers look cool, but they WILL EVENTUALLY LEAK. The door seals eventually go bad, they are more prone to bearing failures, and more likely to have issues with mold. I was going to go with a front load washer, but my mind was changed by people that fix them for a living. I wound up with a Samsung top loader. No regrets.

I would imagine the reasoning behind it is to prevent non-running vehicles from being left on the street indefinitely. Some HOAs have similar rules about how long vehicles/trailers/campers can be left in the same spot in YOUR driveway.

The precedent is requiring Americans to purchase a consumer product.
