  1. So who'll be there for the 8/10 day and what group? Udel - N Rob - N Tod - Maybe anyone else?
  2. The Rock House is pretty cool.
  3. It turns out that I can ride Saturday instead of Sunday. So, as of now I'm doing SEO Solo ride tmrw. If anyone wants to meet up, I'll be taking 83S and leaving earlyish. Pace will be brisk, stops will be minimal.
  4. KTM SuperDuke, 2012 Aprilia Tuono, or maybe a Ducati Hypermotard 1100/796 or an Aprilia Dorsoduro 1200... There are all fairly similar to the S3. Some are a bit more motard-ish, but still in the vein of a liter sized naked. Are you looking for something to ride differently than the S3? or is it a matter of so may cool bikes it's hard to only have 1, because I totally get that.
  5. Good info. That's helpful. The Mid-Ohio site could use a little more description on the classes. I have no issue riding in Novice, especially on a Katy M that doesn't belong to me.
  6. So, you're saying we should ride in the same intermediate group?
  7. HA! I'm just asking questions. I haven't even decidied to get on a track, much less picked a group.
  8. It turns out that I need to be home by 3. I'll probably wind up leaving stupid early and do a long solo ride. If something changes, maybe I can be a part of the group activities.
  9. Brian, How do you setup the 1:1? Is that just part of the class? This video is from the Mid Ohio site...I just watched the first 3 min. Is this pace typical for the Novice group?
  10. Brought to you by the geniuses at HD (Buell didn't have a marketing dept).
  11. Is that the difference between Novice and Int? Do you follow instructors around the track in Novice, and ride your own pace in Int?
  12. I've considered doing a track day for a while, but I'm not interested on prepping my bike for a track day. If I do one it would be something like these KTM days. Can anyone tell me the difference in the instruction between Novice & Intermediate? How novice is novice?
  13. The councilman claiming that this citizen legally carrying a gun is part of the problem is nothing more than an attempt at political deflection. He is trying to take some of the attention off the police dept. Angling to 'share' blame is a pretty typical lawyer tactic. The CCW guy didn't fire a weapon or even show it.
  14. From the site it looks like you can sign up for Novice, Intermediate, or Advanced. What are the guidlines for picking a class?
  15. ...and the KTM is out due to a nasty crash. The EBR machine placed 7th and 9th in early qualifying.

  17. I dig the 3 Buells I've owned. BWB on the other had, is full of douchebaggery. Lot's of good info is posted there by users. Unfortunately you have to wade through moderator induced non-sense to get to the good info. Back to the OP, I believe both the EBR and KTM are racing at Laguna this weekend. I'm looking for both to have better finishes.
  18. I don't see that as an issue. If no one in the car is carrying, there is no duty to inform.
  19. I've been pulled over a couple times while CCW-ing. One time, the officer just started speaking without giving me much of a chance to talk. So, I interrupted and spoke over him about the CCW. He was visibly irratated, but only for a couple seconds. Then it was fine. Unless, I'm mistaken...when the office runs your plate he will know if the plate is registered to a CCW holder. Seems like they would want to give you a second or 2 to speak up.
  20. 536 conditions are sketchy this year. Watch out for tar strips. Riding it from 78>7 there is a 15mph right hand turn that has dumped many riders...
  21. just because you could, doesn't mean you should
  22. Hwy is boring as hell & uncomfortable on a sportbike. Hwys also get more LEO attention. I really don't commute or ride in city traffic much either. The majority of my miles are weekend trips through entertaining backroads.
