  1. The styling is a bit odd, but I ride a Buell so go figure.
  2. Ugly duckling. But it's probably more fun to ride than a H-D. I'd pick a Monster over that every time.
  3. From what the commentators say...it changes the weight distribution on the inside of the bike. Apparantly it creates some advantage over sticking out the knee.
  4. If it 's good enough for the Bandit...
  5. I want http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Pontiac-Trans-Am-1979-ORIG-BANDIT-Y-84-TRANS-AM-6-6-Auto-WS6-T-TOP-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem5195d554a8QQitemZ350406137000QQptZUSQ5fCarsQ5fTrucks
  6. I would just fix the Hawk and skip the mods. Increasing to 700cc will make it less reliable. Plus it will be harder to sell with a heavily modded engine-not an issue if you never plan on getting rid of it. Hawks are somewhat rare classic sporty bikes. It'll be easy to sell if you've out grown it. Plenty of more powerful machines can be had on the cheap these days.
  7. In terms of styling, the new CBR250R is a mini-VFR1200F and works surprisingly well. It’s compact, thoroughly modern, neat and unfussy – we think it’s not bad at all. The engine is a fuel-injected, liquid-cooled, 249cc single-cylinder unit with a four-valve DOHC cylinder head. It produces 26 horsepower and 23Nm of torque, which is not too bad at all. --------not clear if this is at the crank or at the rear wheel.
  8. Someday, I'm gonna rock one of these:
  9. The little Ceeber is nice looking, but why a 250cc single? My gf's Nighthawk 250 (twin) tops out around 75-80 mph. I wonder what the top speed will be? 65-70?
  10. Jbot, you need to be at the Dec. 2nd game at the Q holding this sign: Shit, I'll make the sign for you.
  11. lbj, wade, and RuPaul all need to control ball to initiate offense. That's how all 3 of them have played since high school. Their styles don't really compliment each other. Not saying it can't work, but it didn't work against Boston.
  12. Not impressed. The Heat will get better than they played tonight, but they have some obvious flaws. eff lbj

  14. I would imagine that that caliper is now effed up, and will need to be rebuilt or replaced.
  15. http://glossynews.com/society/201001070305/activists-missing-after-declaring-war-on-leather-at-motorcycle-rally/ Sorry PETA Johnstown, PA (GlossyNews) – Local and state police scoured the hills outside rural Johnstown, Pennsylvania, after reports of three animal rights activists going missing after attempting to protest the wearing of leather at a large motorcycle gang rally this weekend. Two others, previously reported missing, were discovered by fast food workers “duct taped inside several fast food restaurant dumpsters,” according to police officials. “Something just went wrong,” said a still visibly shaken organizer of the protest. “Something just went horribly, horribly, wrong.” The organizer said a group of concerned animal rights activist groups, “growing tired of throwing fake blood and shouting profanities at older women wearing leather or fur coats,” decided to protest the annual motorcycle club event “in a hope to show them our outrage at their wanton use of leather in their clothing and motor bike seats.” “In fact,” said the organizer, “motorcycle gangs are one of the biggest abusers of wearing leather, and we decided it was high time that we let them know that we disagree with them using it…ergo, they should stop.” According to witnesses, protesters arrived at the event in a vintage 1960′s era Volkswagen van and began to pelt the gang members with balloons filled with red colored water, simulating blood, and shouting “you’re murderers” to passers by. This, evidently, is when the brouhaha began. “They peed on me!!!” charged one activist. “They grabbed me, said I looked like I was French, started calling me ‘La Trene’, and duct taped me to a tree so they could pee on me all day!” “I…I was trying to show my outrage at a man with a heavy leather jacket, and he…he didn’t even care. I called him a murderer, and all he said was, ‘You can’t prove that.’ Next thing I know he forced me to ride on the back of his motorcycle all day, and would not let me off, because his girl friend was out of town and I was almost a woman.” Still others claimed they were forced to eat hamburgers and hot dogs under duress. Those who resisted were allegedly held down while several bikers “farted on their heads.” Police officials declined comments on any leads or arrests due to the ongoing nature of the investigation, however, organizers for the motorcycle club rally expressed “surprise” at the allegations. “That’s preposterous,” said one high-ranking member of the biker organizing committee. “We were having a party, and these people showed up and were very rude to us. They threw things at us, called us names, and tried to ruin the entire event. So, what did we do? We invited them to the party! What could be more friendly than that? You know, just because we are all members of motorcycle clubs does not mean we do not care about inclusiveness. Personally, I think it shows a lack of character for them to be saying such nasty things about us after we bent over backwards to make them feel welcome.” When confronted with the allegations of force-feeding the activists meat, using them as ad hoc latrines, leaving them incapacitated in fast food restaurant dumpsters, and ‘farting on their heads,’ the organizer declined to comment in detail. “That’s just our secret handshake,” assured the organizer.
  16. If that is how the guy maintained it...personally, I wouldn't touch it.
  17. Was it wrecked? Missing a front rotor is a new one...what is the story behind that?
  18. There was a USMC drill instructor by the name of Sgt. Harry Bush. He did not have a sense of humor.
  19. Goldwings use alternators also. That's a better setup when you have lots of electro-whiz-gadgets that can be switched on/off.
  20. I like to keep my stuff pretty much stock. Usually better for relaibility, resale, etc. If you get too crazy with mods, something like this could happen  http://cleveland.craigslist.org/mcy/2015389377.html
  21. Alternators and stators accomplish the same task (pretty much), but the technology is different. Alternators are 'smart,' stators are 'dumb.' Alternators are heavier and use up more hp, that's why most bikes have stators. Here is a diagram to troubleshoot stators: http://www.rmstator.com/PDF/fault_finding.pdf
