  1. In this case, absolutely not...unless HD's tax rate is 100% They would have saved hundreds of millions by selling Buell and not buying out vendor contracts. Now explain the financial enema that MV just gave HD.
  2. Agreed. 'All American' HD could have easily saved 'all American' jobs. Buyers were lined up to buy Buell, HD declined. BTW, many of the folks that pushed to close & not sell Buell have since been ousted from HD. From a dollars and cents standpoint their decision didn't make business sense. It may take a few years, but I'm curious to see what Erik Buell will do without HD limiting his options.
  3. I've owned 3. Read the May issue of Cycle World if you want to know the scenario about the shutdown. It's pretty well spelled out, probably to the dismay of HD and HD stockholders. Back to the 1190RS...I suspect this will be a limited production run for homologation purposes to allow 1190 to race in AMA Superbike (the 1125 has placed 6th and 7th in the last few Superbike races). I imagine they'll be priced fairly high. Perhaps this will set the stage for a larger scale return to producing streetbikes.
  4. On my cruise, I was falling down like that. I don't think anyone else was though...kinda fuzzy.
  5. I'd like to thank that guy for being so badass.
  6. Personal preference plays a lot into what you choose. But, saying a 9mm won't get the job done is well...wrong. I don't need a .45, but I'm already packing a large cailber weapon
  7. What are you basing this on?
  8. There is a small percentage of .45s in service. Navy Seals use Sig 9mm, there is a .45 SOCOM used by a few units. In combat, I would take 15 9mm over 7 .45s every time...but this thread is about CCW.
  9. This is the stuff of urban legends. 9mm was good enough when I was in the USMC. Carry whatever make you feel right.
  10. I worry more about concealability than caliber. A .32 in a pocket holster is going to do more good than a .45 that is home in the gun safe because it's too bulky to carry comfortably. And in all serious, you're probably NOT going to get in a gunfight with someone all jacked up on drugs that's going to keep coming at you after 1 round of .32, .380, 9mm etc.
  11. The surface was so shitty on the part I rode that we stopped to get out the maps to look for a different route. The gravel blends in perfectly with the chip seal, so it's really tough to get a feel for the conditions.
  12. If you're scouting, the best thing about 666 is it's short I rode 555 from 78 to 676 a few weeks ago. Most of that stretch had a strip of gravel down the middle from chip seal. I would avoid.
  13. What's the list? I've probably ridden them before
  14. The person I supposed to meet, can't. So...who wants to meet at the Pilot Gas Station in Lodi (intersection of OH83 and US71) at 8:45?
  15. I'm riding early. Meeting at 8:45, either in Bolivar or Lodi.
  16. Pretty much. I rode the 'good part' a few weeks ago. It was all chip-seal-gravel-mix. I don't plan on riding it this weekend.
  17. I'm riding Saturday. It will be an early start and a brisk pace. From NEO, I'd guess about 450 miles, home by 4-5.

    Orgasmo!!!!

All the movies by the South Park guys are hilarious.
  19. Dave @ http://www.ohiosportbike.com knows more about Buells than most HD dealers. I believe he has the cables and may have the software too. If you can get it to me, I can reset the TPS.
  20. I have the software and cable to reset the TPS on XBs. Apparently, it works on the X1 too...news to me.
