  1. I've worked from home for nearly all of the last 15 years
  2. Not sure, but I think the recommended interval on those is 4k.
  3. So I noticed when you pass a cruiser when you're on a cruiser there's a decent chance they'll try to speed up keep up with you.
  4. I've heard Wolfie's has good food. Never been there though.
  5. I'd rather slam my fingers in a car door.
  6. Yes. Very curvy and remote. It was in pretty good condition.
  7. This is the best part of the faster group. I learned from a group with a very similar mindset when I first got into serious street riding.
  8. I choose to only ride with level headed riders. So, I guess that's my clique. Much of the time it's level headed fast riders. Sometimes it's other level header riders, some of them working on on technique or what not. When someone starts spouting off a bunch of dumb shit, however, I tend to think there is something trying to be proven. It makes me think they probably aren't a level headed rider. So, in that case they probably aren't in my "clique."
  9. New front brakes on the VFR. Oil change on the V Star. Yes, already. It's 9:15.

    Fall Gap Trip 2016

I've done quite a few trips that were "nomadic." I prefer this to 1 location. How many miles per day are you thinking?
  11. Not on all of them. For some it's 15k, some are less. I think 1500cc and bigger have hydraulic lifters, so no valve adjustment. Same on the Suzuki C90s. I considered those but decided against them due to weight.
  12. When looking at cruisers I was disappointed to find how short the valve adjustment intervals are on some of them. Yamaha V Star 650 is only 4000 miles isn't an R1 26k or something like that Some Suzukis are 7,500 miles VTX = 8000 miles At least the Vstar 950 is 16,000 miles...another reason I went with that one.
  13. I just lost 130lbs. At least that's what she said she weighed

  16. I decided on something with luggage, good passenger accommodations, FI, and I just won't do spoked wheels. I wanted something capable of touring. The V Star I bought is really clean and the price was right (I can easily sell it and get my money back). It's reasonably fun to ride. I'm trying to see if I can enjoy life in the "slower" lane.
  17. I decided to buy a 2010 Vstar 950 Tourer. Not sure yet if it will keep my interest, but it's worth a try
  18. I had lots of fun on my CBR. My pace on the VFR is just a little slower, but it's just as fun.
