  1. Fuckin' race bikes man. High levels of testosterone will lead to no good. Should be a good ride though, lol.
  2. If I start sliding I'll back off a bit. No great shakes.
  3. Thanks. I'll be there unless the weather is absolute shit.
  4. Looks like a fun bike but as UP said: I need those extra ponies.
  5. OK. I'll keep an eye out on this.
  6. So, What time in Wooster? I've still got another 1/32 of an inch before I hit the wear strips. I'm game to come out & ride for a bit.
  7. I've got nothing against Ohio Riders but I would never put a sticker on my bike that would allow leos to link riders of a particular ride together. Situations arise on rides. Just sayin.
  8. Experiencing availability problems. Probably stick with the "local" dealer but they tell me that the 2017s have already came and went but they have a 2015 & 2016. I want the latest upgrades, including the "track pack" so I may have to wait til 2018. Damn.
  9. Got rid of the CBR. Making room in the Garage.
  10. Yes indeed. Any words of wisdom on the subject?
  11. I think I've decided. Distraction & hesitation was the problem.
  12. Thanks but no thanks. What my aim is is to replace my 08 CBR1000RR with a new bike that has similar performance capabilities but has ergos that better suit my soon to be 59 year old body. Also I'm looking for a change from the monotony of Japanese I4s as well.
  13. I'm out on this one boys. Will be between trackable bikes. My Kaw doesn't like track pace. Will be back. May stop down if it's nice out.
  14. Thanks man, but I just placed an order for the non-A specs.
  15. Gotta get some new tires for the Ninja. Works been a bear lately & I gotta get out for some rides with you guys.
  16. Write to Dear Abby. She's likely to tell you you need a professional opinion.
  17. I've sat on one. On the plus side, it would probably be reliable & would fit ok, & not drag pegs at a spirited pace. On the minus side, it's supposed to weigh in the mid 400s, only be about 130 Hp at the wheel & It's an I4 (crossplane, but psychological negative for me). I'm in a quandary man. Ducati doesn't have anything that really interests me right now anyhow. That circa 2010 Street Fighter was nice. That new Supersport, to me, is like, Ducati does Ninja 1000. Panagale's are nice, but I'm gonna be 59 next month. Maybe I should just take up yoga & get another young guy's bike. Quandry man. Damn, I'm gettin' as bad as others on here with indecision. I think it's contagious.
  18. Now you folks have got me second guessing & concerned about reliability& everything else. Always been Japanese I4 guy up to now, My wife's had a little M696 Ducati & that was a hoot to ride so I'm thinking a big twin with over 2x the HP with sensible ergos & modern electronics would be a double hoot. I'm aware that back tires would be a pay to play consumable. Then Tony throws in the Triumph factor. I had no idea about the Street Trip 765 RS until you mentioned it Tony. Definitely worth checking out, although only (lol) 121 Hp at the crank is a light bike (366 lb dry, probably 405 ready to ride with a full tank) & looks super fun. + I'm 6'2" & haven't even sat on said Triumph yet. My take on reliability is to stay away from the Apes & the BMs (although that S1000R is hot & can be had for a good price). Know nothing about the MV Agustas but am wary. Ducati's & KTMs are equal in the reliability Dept, & Triumphs are slotted in there between the Japanese & Ducati + KTM. Correct me if I'm wrong (I know you can't help yourself anyway.) This isn't going to be a decision by committee anyhow but it's interesting hearing all opinions. Keep em coming. Thanks.
  19. Thanks for the input gents. I'll probably just go with the KTM Super Duke R anyhow. They've made some substantial improvements this year & I've had a hankering for one since they 1st came out.
  20. Considering the R model with soft bags & aftermarket wind protection. Concerned about limited dealerships & 9,000 mile valve checks though.
  21. Looking for a new bike. Budget is $20K tops. Looking for something with 150+ rwhp & electronics.
