  1. Your asking price may be an issue. Potential buyers can buy a 2014 ABS model with zero miles for $999 more if they look on cycletrader.
  2. Early is good. 150 on gas stops is realistic. Forward motion would cease for Andy at about 180 & me at about 190. Whatever is decided on time & meet spot is fine with me.
  3. I bought my ninja for the legroom. ZX10-R is lacking that. You would get a purpose built track bike with high handlebars. Completely different animals.
  4. I've been ready since January.

    East coast trip

Have fun. Rubber down, shiny side up.
  6. I have a set of frog togs that sits at home in my closet. Not that they are horrible but my imitation goretex from REI keeps me drier, especially in heavy downpours. Better closures & seams.
  7. Made reservations last December. Seats on turn 1. Staying at the Alexander downtown. Dinner reservation at St. Elmo's
  8. Nice bike. (To the peanut gallery- I can imagine several things that are more dangerous to do on a motorcycle than wear the wrong gear. No lectures from me.)
  9. That's a pretty decent price for Frog Togs. When you said $20 I had this picture in my head that wasn't very accurate.
  10. With my Bell helmet I seem to get the best results by closing the vents & opening the face shield about 1/16" in the rain. Different helmets, different tactics though. You may get a little sweaty in that $20 rain suit. If you plan to ride in the rain more than about once a year you might want to invest in something that is waterproof yet breathable. My (non-motorcycle specific) gear was maybe $100 from REI. When I got home yesterday I was still reasonably dry despite riding through torrential downpours. I also recommend the overmitts that Aerostitch sells. They keep my hands dry & the left one even has a squeegee built into the thumb so I can see when I get stuck behind a car or truck for a bit.
  11. That short section of 78 that was scarfed up will be real nice once they pave. The scarf had the grip but I was glad to get off of it to give my tires a break. 260 was sweet. 26 was nice except for the blind corners that started dry & ended wet. 377 definitely has some peg scrapers when run south to north which I had never done before. All in all It was a fun ride.
  12. Great ride gentlemen. Thanks for coming everybody that did. I was starting to worry when only two of us showed up at the BP in Lodi. Thanks for organizing Derek. Sorry you couldn't make it. Man, that really was a frog choker on the way home. Glad the roads were mostly dry for the ride. Oh yea, Thanks for the donut Tonic.
  13. Now that's a great reason to have a spare bike. See you in the AM.
  14. We can evaluate at the meet spot. Thanks.
  15. The scuttlebutt: Marathon at the south end of town, roll thru, approximately 8:50.
  16. Sounds good Dave. No problem. Volunteers? Sorry you have to work.
  17. Is 100 miles agreeable with your bike Brian?
  18. Speedway in Marietta for the group I am leading if everyone has the range. I wouldn't "play it by ear" if I were you.
  19. I don't know what weather reports you are reading but mine says 100% chance of riding. If the unofficial ride is officially cancelled I will be riding the same route at the same time if anyone else wants to join in. There will be at least 2 riders regardless.
  20. Sounds good to me. I'm quite sure that my motorcycle is highly water resistant & that I won't melt if I run through a shower or two to get to dry pavement. See y'all Saturday.
  21. Whar model is that? It looks like a Lampoon 3.
