  1. And you all thought I was joking when I said Michigan sucks. This is seriously a 5/10?! http://www.motorcycleroads.com/routes/MidWest/MI/MI_10.shtml
  2. I try to stay current, but it's mostly mainstream stuff, and a majority is new rock, house, techno, some "rap", etc. Not so much the indie and alternative stuff.
  3. Was at a buddy's 21st party and most of these West Michiganders up here are a little weird to begin with but I stumbled across some music that was actually pretty catchy out of their arsenal of odd and very alternative music selection. Enjoy. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n5aY0CAtvsk http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2a4gyJsY0mc
  4. Lol, they don't always reset mileage, sometimes it's just dash preferences, but if the battery voltage goes too low in storage I've heard of it happening. Aprilia replaced some whole dashes on RSVRs to try and solve the problem but some people still lost mileage. There's things I can do to improve charging of the battery when it's started, I've just been too lazy to do it right now. But overall if the bike is stored for a few days without a tender, it will act up until it's gotten a chance to sit on said tender. Like I said, the charging system can currently keep a battery charged, just not re-charge one. As for bikes in dealerships, most of them sit with batterys out or unplugged.
  5. It's a problem on the RSVRs, the dash can randomly reset for some odd reason and it WILL clear mileage. The Milles aren't known for doing it as much, but why take the risk?
  6. And then the dash would reset, my mileage would be incorrect, and my title would have a nice "mileage discrepancy" note on it. Yeah, not happening. I'll deal with my finicky little Iti.
  7. Sarcasm? Anything Italian has electrical issues. Lol The Ape just has a hard time with keeping batteries charged. The entire chargig system can't recharge a battery but it can maintain it. So I have to keep it on a battery tender whenever it's not being used. Coupled with the fact that a part of the ECU is running at all times creating a drain on the battery means that you really have to stay on top of it. I learned my lesson with this when it fired right up one morning for a ride, got to the first rest stop and wouldn't start again. The rest of that day involved loading the bike into a truck and driving home.
  8. That's a damn good torque out of that thing. Veeery nice.
  9. Oh how I've missed you and your remarks on OR.
  10. No. You have bigger issues. You need to get another battery in there and start checking voltages along the entire charging system.
  11. 2002 Aprilia RSV Mille Likes - The TORQUE! - The sound is amazing with the right exhaust - Turn in is easy and the bike is rock solid through corners - Powering out of a turn and hearing that baritone wail behind you - Exclusivity - Simple to maintain (surprisingly) - Easy bodywork removal (anyone who's worked on a new R6 knows where I'm coming from) - Comfort, the bike is long and tall and it fits me well - Chassis seems unflappable, never really have headshake even without a steering dampener - It looks different. I like that - Rock solid motor, has 36,000 miles on it now and no major maintenance:D Dislikes - Finicky electrical system - Useless mirrors (first rule of Italian riding, what'sa behind you is no importa) - Useless rear brake - Weak sprag clutch - Resale value (who cares though)

But this is the video that got me started on this rant. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y-IWp_lIblo

Not really exhaust, I love my Giannelli. Just dreaming about newer bikes. Keeping my eye on... This This This and this.

I posted it in off topic, it should have probably been in ranting and raving instead. It just makes me mad when I'm trying to figure out how a certain bike/exhaust sounds and the video starts with the person turning the bike on and immediately putting the front of the camera right beside the tip of the exhaust and revving it. Seriously? Are you that dumb and deaf to realize that doesn't sound good before you post it?
  15. Simple answer as to why he didn't die, he's a ninja.
  16. Same premise as a car system. Accelerometer placed in the bike senses severe G-load and fires the bag. It's probably got a sensor mounted near the bottom of the forks or front of the fairing. A high g-load in that area would give the airbag just enough time to activate before you get to that area.

When are people (retards) going to realize that if you want to make a video of the sound your exhaust makes, putting the microphone right beside the fucking exhaust is not a good way to do it. You're wasting my time with your pathetic garbage videos that have nothing but static from an overwhelmed microphone. Pull your heads out of your asses!!! /rant
  18. Why are so many of you so against airbags in cars? Just curious.
  19. Correct. And I agree with the projector FTW statement too. Unfortunately I'm in the process of blinding people right now. Testing heat output on the reflector to see if there will be any issues with running it in my fragile headlight. My plan is to get a Ducati 999/749 projector lens and modify my factory headlight to run it. Should be fun. lol
  20. And I quote myself.... Sound familiar?
