  1. You get to see the lights and donate for a good cause! My family will probably be going either this weekend or next week. It's an awesome sight to see all the lights. So if you have never been, go check it out.

‘Tis the season to share the reason for good cheer at the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium. And, in partnership with Columbus Parent Magazine, on Wednesday, Dec. 22, and Thursday, Dec. 23, the Zoo will offer free admission to anyone who brings five nonperishable food items with them that will be donated to the Mid-Ohio Foodbank. Show a nonperishable food item at the entrance to the parking lot and entrants also will receive free parking. As always, Columbus Zoo members and children under two years old will be admitted for free.

The Mid-Ohio Foodbank prefers the following items:

Canned meats, fruits, vegetables, soups, chili and juice

Dry beans, rice, corn meal, oatmeal and pasta

    Baking mixes and pie filling

Boxed potatoes, dressing and gravy mix

The Zoo is open from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m. on Dec. 22 and 23.

  2. Not all HF stuff is junk. Yes, I'd say the majority of it is but I have some stuff I bought there and it still hold up well. And being an auto tech, I use the tools all the time. You just have to inspect what you buy. I was taking boxes apart to get into the tools to make sure they'd last awhile. lol I wouldn't buy this multimeter. There are some things I'd rather spend a little more money for quality. Even if the tools works, it needs to work well.
