I'm finding that with armslist, and forums as well. If I can't get something a decent amount cheaper (unless it's from someone I know and trust, and it's nearly new) I'll just buy new.
Ever go to computerfest in Dayton? That was the motherlode of computer shows! As Josh mentions, getting my hands on some guns to help decide what to get would be a great reason for me to go.
I'd like to go to a show sometime, since I've never been. I used to go to computer shows all the time back in the day, some deals to be had, and some way overpriced stuff as well. I'm going to guess gun shows are similar to this.
QEMM FTW! MS-DOS 6.22 was my bitch back in the day! I kind of miss having to do serious work from the command prompt, since Windows 3.11 couldn't handle what would need accomplished! Oh, Doom, Doom2 and Heretic, all after Wolfenstein 3D!
Oh yeah! The old tape deck on the TI! We had a few games on cartridge, too. I still have a floppy drive or 2 around. I can't remember the last time I used one of them, though. 640k is all the ram anyone should ever need!
Update on my S&W cheap-o from the Mac truck. It's turned out to be a pretty good knife, better than the Kershaw's that I had previously. It's a Extreme Ops CK4. Smooth blade, holds and edge pretty well, opens pretty easy. The only problem I've had with it is I had to use a drop of loctite on the pivot bolts since they would back out and get way loose.
