  1. Shouldn't you be out on your bike? You ARE in Florida right?
  2. I saw a squid....errr... gixxer out today, the one time I went into town. I MIGHT get out for a short ride, as long as I get the oil changed and coolant refilled on the Ninja, unless I get ambitious and out the Hon-duh back together.
  3. Post back up if the oils looks funky as you drain it.
  4. 1. Tell the wife to get out there and wash and wax the bikes. 2. Sit back and relax while said bike washing and waxing takes place. 3. Take off for a ride on a freshly washed and waxed bike. 4. Wake up from dreaming that the above would ever happen....
  5. I wish I was up to it, but my skillz are a bit worse than rusty! If I had my prefernce of types of welding to do, it would be tig. Unfortunately, things are rarely clean enough, nor convenient enough to use it at our shop.
  6. I used to be able to tig really well. I was doing tricky stuff, like cast aluminum to billet aluminum even. From what I recall, make sure everything is clean, clean, clean! We have a tig at the shop, and I have welded some aluminum with it, but until we get a foot pedal, and throw out that stupid hand control, I won't do so well. Stainless is really easy, as long as it's clean, also. I wish I had more time and stuff to weld with it!
  7. We got another hooked.... LOL Welcome to the end of your spare time!
  8. Not going to be able to make, have a meeting scheduled right smack in the middle of it. I would be there otherwise.
  9. Or the one excited to watch? (there's a story behind that one, and I just don't feel the need to explain any further....)
  10. Honestly, I just go to the first and second gen sub forum, bypassing the rest of the site, for the most part, since I spend (waste?) so much time here on OR! I'll actually look around there a bit more tomorrow, I'm about out of time (energy) tonight.
  11. Ah, I wasn't following both threads! I'm all for the option of choosing where the user info appears!
  12. Are JRM and I the only ones that saw this? I was going to make a joke about this, until I finished reading the thread and saw this. The popularity contest may be back on! VFR World uses 4.01, and thanks. The thanks is cool for technical forums, but I don't know that it would fit well with OR.
  13. WIth it inline, at the top, as it is now, it's part of reaing the thread to see who posted, with it on the left, you have to look over there, out of line with what you're reading to see who posted each reply. I never saw any kind of reply as to how tough the back-end of the new version is for you to run, compared to now. I'd rather it be easier for you to run, so that you can ride more, and when not riding, implement new stuff, compared to maintaining the site.
  14. Fixed for entertainment purposes...
  15. OBDII is quite a bit more than just communicating with a scan tool. The PCM pretty much runs an emissions test while you're driving down the road. ALL of this is CODE, as they don't add any sensors for this, other than a couple more oxygen sensors. They need to keep some things a direct, or even just cable operated, connection. Nice one. I'll have to remember that one!
  16. For Canon, and another for Newegg! I haven't used the XSi, but I had the original Digital Rebel, and currently have a 40D. As for the lens compatability, like has been stated, as long as it's an EF, EF-s lens, it will work. Older manual fucus lenses CAN work with an adapter, but that's a more advanced thing, and unless it's a really good lens, not worth the bother. There are some manual focus lenses out there that ARE worth the hassle though!
  17. The Zune 30GB had pretty much the same issue a while back. I think it was last year. Wouldn't you know it, the problem showed up on a day that I had actually wanted to use mine!!!! I'll have to see what those I know with PS3's are saying. I think the primary purpose for a couple of them is just the blu-ray player. I have been fortunate with my 360, got it on Christmas last year (2008) and hasn't had a hiccup. The most use it gets is watching Netflix though.
  18. Funny that you should mention that one, I like it the way it is. Almost every other vB site I've been on, puts it at the side. As long as the new version isn't any more work to manage, day to day, I say go for it. As for getting used to it, most of what I do won't change anyway, and the things that change that I don't use might encourage me to use them, if they're easier to get to!
  19. OK Street, what are you, like 70 years old? BBS? Really? Just messin'!!! I think that lurking on OR is pretty much a given for most of this group!
  20. You beat me to it.....
  21. With OBD2, and the testing that ODB2 requires from the PCM, I bet there's a LOT more code there than most would think.
  22. I can sum it all up in one word: MEDIA There are recalls all the time, the media is just going for the ratings, and since there hasn't been much else going on lately, they're running this story into the ground.
  23. Yeah, I've only seen it for Sprint, though. 22% is a decent discount from what I've been seeing.
  24. Wow! We've been called out! I'm not so sure I want to be bunched in with that group....
