  1. I turned off notifications by email WAY long ago. I was always getting too many emails, and I don't check it often through the day, in fact I'm more likely to check here than I am email anyway! I use email notifications on forums that I'm not as active on.
  2. Well, I'm dealing with the changes. I'm actually liking the "View New Content" feature a little better now that I've used it, and once I figured out that I can easily I change how it works (unread, new since last visit, past 24 hours, etc...) I almost always went straight to the "new posts" when I'd visit on VBulletin, and even bookmarked the search link for it, and now I did the same for "View New Content. I visit the site about 95%+ on the PC, using Chrome. I will have to hit up the mobile site a little more to see how it works out.
  3. Yeah, I THOUGHT "they" were saying that cable and satellite TV would be dead by now, due to everyone streaming instead of watching live? I still don't see it working that way. since "they" have controlled that by not releasing the content until the next day after it airs on TV.
  4. I DO see where it lists the last poster and the TIME they posted now, don't remember it being there before. I liked having this info before!
  5. The "preview is "nice" but I still like it coming up as the hover text better. I have to move the mouse all the way across the screen and click to preview. Just not nearly as intuitive. I'm giving it a while before I decide that I hate it.
  6. BTDT with a custom style on PHPBB! Loads of fun tracking it all down, for someone like me! (No coding background at all!)
  7. You are going to be SO sick of me pointing out things! You're going to want me to go back to hitting f5 like crazy! On the "New Content" page, it was nice to see which forum it was from over on the right, separated out. An easy workable alternative would be to use a bold font for the forum name, or a different color. This is an issue I've dealt with on the design of 2 forums that I've started, and the way that I've handled it. Overall, even though I said I hate change (which I do in general, most of the time) IPBoard is growing on me.
  8. I'm not sure I like the way to get to the smiley's as well. It was nice to have a page open to scroll through, and the code for them beside them for those of us that would rather not reach for the mouse in the middle of typing. Maybe a list can be compiled for reference at a later time if the popup window is not an option. I also like the "replies added" popup when in the middle of a reply!
  9. It's nothing to do with being old.
  10. Also, I've noticed the "popup" pages, such as the quick navigation beside the search box, or the popup when you hover over a username, the blue header bar looks a bit out of place, doesn't match the red theme of the site.
  11. If you do the new content button, click the little star next to a thread that you've posted in and it will take you to the first unread post.
  12. That was supposed to be a thumbs up on that post, not a thumbs down.
  13. Is there a portal available like the vbadvanced one that you were using? I think that would help out with some of the things that people are missing.
  14. I'm hating on change. I guess I'll have to get used to it. I'm sure I'll have some whines and gripes, but I'll keep them down for a little while to see what gets addressed in the near future. How is it on the admin side of things? Easier to admin/moderate?
  15. The definition of irony. It's clef. No "T" in it. http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/clef?s=t
  16. I might have to check it out then.
  17. On topics question: How does it differ from Spotify? Are there more artists available? Different artists? I use Spotify now (not enough to justify the $ I'm wasting on the paid sub) and would need a reason to switch.
  18. This is America. Bigger is better. We want more, we want more. THAT's what I mean by Ninjette killer!
  19. I have no idea how I missed that they were making a CBR500. Nice looking bike, and it sounds like a Ninja 250/300 killer for sure! If only I could get some credit... Or had about $6k lying around.
  20. They're in it to make money. I'm pretty sure retail is not the price range the OP is looking for, just "reading into" the post a little bit...
  21. You CAN donate to more than one, ya know...
