  1. - didn't mean leaving just wanted to be done with this thread. If I keep getting quoted I'll keep answering.

I can't wait till I actually meet some of you guys to see how perfect you all must be. Maybe I can be holier than thou like some of you portray yourselves to be.

I don't read, or hear that attitude at all, from any of the regulars on here, unless in a sarcastic context. I've met some people in person, and they are very dow-to-earth real people. If you don't believe me, there's even a thread about how great this community of Ohio-Riders is. Here's a link to it: http://www.ohio-riders.com/showthread.php?t=35449

For the record, rep, and post count don't mean a thing, really. Neither does popularity, although I think that's been discussed in other topics, if curious, search for "rep".

  2. Thanks! From you it doesn't mean anything though.

Like the neg rep, and comment about post counts. Really man, if it's that big of a deal to you, you don't HAVE to read anything on here! People were seriously trying to get the dude to do the right thing, and he was REFUSING to be told what is right or wrong.

To sum up the thread (again) there was some serious opinions on jackets, life advice to a 19 year old that has been less than straight up with us, quite a bit of humor, and now whining about a thread going off-topic.

  3. so... you think its ok that you called people out bc it was for something that frustrates you (ie people getting off topic)... maybe the people doing the calling out in this thread think its for a good reason too (good advice to a kid who is running around with illegal plates and no insurance).... Yea, it sucks reading through 12 pages, but its not like there aren't at 40 other threads talking about jackets that don't have the "life advice" in it...

    :werd:

  4. It's cool, but I'm more interested in the 550 V-twin prototype they have in an RS125 frame sitting around at Noale. Aprilia really needs a middleweight supersport contender and a sub 380lb 550cc sportbike would be sick.

THAT is more my speed. I REALLY don't need anything THAT sick, but a 550..... Hmmm... Will....Be....Watching....Not ....Able.....To....Afford....

  5. How do you guys convince the wife (if you have one) that getting a second bike doesn't make me a greedy selfish bike buying addict?

    I have a pair, swinging.

Ok, ok.... Actually, when I bought the second bike, it was so that SHE has the old (actually newer) one to ride.

I want this. I can afford this. I'm sure I can fix this. She will make my life a living hell if I come home with this even if I am sure I can resell and make money on it in the future.

Grow a pair and go for it.

    Anybody want to buy a VF500? :D

  6. Iron Pony just went up a tick on the cool meter! Actually, I'd like to see them get more brands! THEY would've been the perfect place to sell Buell's.
unfortunately they aren't making buell's anymore....(i could be wrong on this)

See above!!!! You never know what's up Erik Buell's sleeve though..... Just sayin'. There's been talk about Yamaha buying Buell, also (unless that's been put to rest, haven't been following it very closely) which would probably put them in there anyway.. Just speculation, at any rate....

  7. Yup, I guess AAA does offer insurance

    Da competition!

Not to mention talking about about the stuff he "has."

OWNS his house (turns out to be a NICE apartment (studio in the ghetto?)

Owns his SUPERCHARGED Mustang, and I think there was talk of it making 340 HP! (I'd be embarassed if it's a V-8!) And so on....

Very entertaining stuff. It wasn't such a big deal until he started getting pissed about people telling him to do the right thing! :nono:

  8. Saw this and the original opener....and thought....Welcome to our world.

I always count on gravel at the worst possible moment and it pretty much is always where you don't want it. It's almost always on the inside of really tight turns. Cars/trucks dropping a wheel off and kicking stones and dirt onto the pavement.

    BUT>>>

I had a supervisor that made a point to mention how he hated them sportbikes. Wanted to swerve into their lanes and talked of throwing rocks out as they flew by his house. I quit riding my bike to work as, Uh things seemed to happen to it while I was in working. I tried to park it where I could keep and eye on it, but someone reported me and the big brass said, "Must park out with the others." The parking area was next to the outside break area. I quit riding it as those cretins were perfectly cabable of finding a wrench and loosening something. I mean, if my Vette can get five flats in a month with puntures by the same kind of self-tapping screws used out on the floor. It became a nightly inspection before getting into the vehicle.

Welcome to our world! So kzz and I will keep our tin foil hats!

Uhh.. Sounds like time to get a new job, someone fired, or a P.I. and a lawyer.

  9. :( I suck

    I've heard something about that...

Seriously though, I wouldn't turn down a Duc, but Woot is higher on my priorities right now (even though I haven't bought anything from them for a long time!) Looks like a LONG time before I get a newer bike anyway....
