We did the Oregon valcano tour today Mt hood Another volcano The three sister volcanos Crater lake This is a collapsed volcano this is the deepest lake in America at 1950 feet deep The lake is only fed by rain and snow, no other water in and no water out. This makes it one of the cleanest bodies of water and has a water depth clarity of a couple hundred feet
after Yellowstone we were headed for glacier national park but they had closures and rock slides the day we were going to go there. That's when we decided to just swing across and hit the Pacific coast highway. this will also give us the chance to swing down to the redwood forest.
This is by far the best road ever Lolo pass - over 400 miles of the best riding ever. Light traffic, amazing views, Crosses three states, not a traffic light in sight, only had to slow for like three little Towns
We got to see two bears one grizzly which ran off and we didn't get a picture off it, and a black bear and her two cubs which I have a picture of on my digital camera

The surface of 555 has always been shit what's new? I call this kind of road tar & chip its like what the county uses on most of the back country roads. I have seen this used a few times lately as a temporary fix till a road is repaved.
Harley guys do this to help balance when they are drunk. I do it about 4 days into a long ride when my legs get tired. Usually after about 1500 miles I start getting lazy
