  1. Just to play devils advocate a bit. Do you think it is possible that he knew he would not be welcomed and that in all likihood he would be asked to leave, casting a negative image for COTA and a more sympathetic view for him and his case? I think the whole situation is a bit out of sorts. Professional curtisy would say, even if invited one would decline as to not "force" this exact situation. This could, and should have been avoided.
  2. Thanks for the offer. I'm in Dayton, so Akron is quite a hall.
  3. Ok, here is the deal. My truck needs new tires. It currently has P235/50r18's on it. They are Goodyear Eagle RS-A's and I hate them. I also have been looking at p235/50/18s and they are extra expensive due to them being a "performance" tire. They also all had an under 40k lifespan. I have a 2008 Isuzu i-370 (Chevy Colorado), needless to say it's about as far away from a performance vehicle possible. The wheels that are on it are off an 08 Colorado Extreme. I went to a few places and asked but none really wanted to answer my question of putting a different size tire on the wheel. Today I scoped out a brand new Colorado that had 265/65/18s on it. I would not be opposed to that size in the least. So questions that I have: -Will 265/65/18 tires fit my wheel? -Would this have any profound effect upon the turning radius? Do you think they would rub? -I'm guessing the rolling diameter of the 265/65/18 is going to be different than the p235/50/18, which means my speedometer and odometer are going to be off. Any ideas as to how much? I also read that possibly getting a HPtune done can correct the this issue. Is this true? If so any suggestions of places? -Any other issues that may pop up? Any suggestions/advice would be appreciate. Here is a picture of what it looks like now.
  4. Ride? Ride what? This is strictly a gun, ammunition and funny pictures forum. Go away with whatever it is you "ride".
  5. There is only one "safe" road that's the track. Every other road you run the risk. There are a few decent roads. The dayton route is decent. Oldschoolesdime92 knows a bunch of north dayton roads that are decent. Good luck.
  6. My wife would hurt me if I bought one. I bought a new helmet last year, otherwise I may have considered this, or at minimum looked at one.
  7. $400 is what I found them for. I don't think the shape is all that much different. Here is another look. http://www.motorcycleapparel.net/product/AB-8100-ATT.html I think it's a neat concept. I'd be curious to see one in person. Apparently the shape provides additional safety.
  8. I can't even read this article. Just looking at my two little girls and reading the thread title makes me sick.
  9. Thought? http://i.stuff.co.nz/timaru-herald/news/4602039/Bikers-get-eyes-in-back-of-heads
  10. That's no good! Glad you are ok! What happened?
  11. Does it come with the snow globe, as seen in the pictures? Bump
  12. Some kids are idiots. This is one of those things that I wonder if they would be doing if uploading video on YouTube/Facebook or whatever wasn't so easily done and so globally seen.
  13. Waste of a perfectly good motorcycle
  14. Hellmutt thanks for the reminder. It was good to get out and socialize. I can't wait for warmer weather.
  15. I rode Sunday for literally 3 minutes. I was trying out my new phone mount, usb port and gopro. I would have gone longer but my tags may be expired. I spent some time today installing a dual usb port in the inner fairing. Already did the oil. All that's left is brake fluid change. Tags and then tire pressure check before rolling it out on the next nice day!
  16. Congrats. Welcome to the never feeling rested again club. Big Ern will send you a recruitment email soon.
  17. Marion's pizza is free and most people like thier food. They also have entered the 21 century and accept card. Our daughter goes to gymnastics at Busy Kids on Wilmington. It's a nice place and they do parties there. Maybe not so fun for a one year old but definitely fun for 2-12 year olds. I tried to negate both my girls first birthday parties and didn't succeed, and I'm glad I didn't in retrospect. It's more for your memories than theirs. It is a great reason to come together and celebrate, just remember its really the only one for you. The rest really are for them.
  18. Welcome! Sorry to hear about your dad. Glad you had riding in common.
