  1. It's not hard to hot wire a bike... Also, if you're coming saturday could you bring that shift rod I was going to use? I found a spot to order them online but mine hasn't shown up yet and Sam wants his back.
  2. Or put a sign on it that says its an electric fence. If you're a thief, are you gonna risk getting your ass zapped for a few bucks in copper?
  3. Got to do some work on robots out at SpaceX, it's a pretty sweet place. And several Teslas parked in the vip lot.
  4. I should be going down Friday night. Anyone look into availability of go karts for Saturday evening?
  5. I rode my scooter back there to take a look when I did the N2 trackday last month. (not all the way out on the track, but close) I don't see why you couldn't walk it. They weren't actively working on it over the weekend, and it wasn't like there was anyone even in the area to tell you otherwise. It's easier to ask for forgiveness than to ask for permission.
  6. I'm in like Flynn. Probably do the 750 again, 600's, and the mini 20. Gotta catch Craig, he's still got me by 1 point!
  7. This would be really fun to do. Any idea how much the cost of a rental bike is?
  8. The more bike and car events he can get booked the better. Moto Series and it's riders/racers can't afford to book the track and race every weekend, and we wouldn't want to ride at nothing but Nelson's anyway. So the next best thing is get in more race org's to fill the schedule and bring in money to the track. Don't see why Todd would want to screw WERA out of a date they've been running for a long time. It doesn't benefit Moto Series or NL.
  9. I was gonna go all Mambourg on you and say some of the gayist shit you ever heard, but I'm on the work computer right now.
  10. What a nice guy. Personally I would make Ron come get the trailer.
  11. Aren't you heading to the track today? Not staying for Saturday but coming back Sunday?
  12. Ya, but that only took like 30 seconds. The rest of the day was spent pulling weeds, pressure washing my deck, cutting my grass, painting my basement, and on and on.
  13. Same here, coming after work Friday. I'll hopefully be bringing the riding mower if I can fit it in the trailer. Figure if the grass was 2 ft tall the infield could probably use another cut come Friday. I'll be doing my usual trackday/races on Sat and Sun. Thanks to Ryan and Craig and everyone else who spent their Sunday at the track getting it ready for us. I really wanted to be there, but after wasting 2 hours trying to get my mower going, I didn't have much time to give. I'm spending way too much time on the road for work and really needed to do some yardwork at my own house. The weeds were starting to take over what I call my landscaping.
  14. Aside from the obvious bike neglect, there's also that Toyota prius.
  15. $10/person gate fee. It's a little steep for what the track has to offer, but at least we know now that the money will actually go towards fixing up the track. There will be sprint races from 11 till 2:30-ish, then endurance racing starting around 3:00. I think there may actually be a 3 hour team endurance going on so there might be bikes on the track till 6. But the sprints are probably a little more exciting to watch from a spectator standpoint.
  16. Nice video. Traffic was pretty heavy but still fun. That was pretty early in the day right?
  17. Good to hear! Let's hope things keep moving in the right direction.
  18. Not sure why I don't see the edit post option? Wanted to put these in the original post.
  19. You know, those plastic thingies on the knees that hit the ground if you go fast. Instant street cred for those that don't ever get a knee down.
  20. I tried that, now it's too tight in the waist too.
  21. I bought this suit last fall. After deciding to try and shed a few pounds over the winter, I must have hit the weights too hard because this no longer fits in my shoulders. Suit is like new minus a little wear on the knee sliders. I wore it for 1.5 trackdays before realizing it's not going to stretch enough to fit me. I'm including the new, never used Hydro Pack/Straw (Think - camel back for your race suit) that goes in the hump, these are usually another $60 on top of the price of the suit. Retail on these is around $1200, seen them on ebay for $1,000. Looking to get $800. I'll try to get pics of the actual suit sometime this week, but it looks like this one: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Spidi-Track-Win ... 4687wt_926
  22. I had a pretty good day there. I ran a few laps in the low 1:03's in the afternoon after I got out of I and into A. Followed a few pretty fast riders and got some good lines through 5-6 which is somewhere I've always struggled. It was certainly different with that many control riders in I group. I had fun playing king of intermediate but like Dan said it was a different story in A. I was passing a majority of the guys, but there were a few that blew by me at a pretty good pace, probably sub 1:00 times.
  23. I've actually never ridden with them before. The only option when I signed up was novice/intermediate so looks like I'm in intermediate. I'll be happy to give you a tow.
  24. Just signed myself up for Sunday the 25th. I'd offer up spots in the trailer but I'm staying down in the Pittsburgh area after the trackday. My buddy is starting a brewery and Sunday is the grand opening.
  25. What good does it do to lock the guy up behind bars and make the taxpayers pay to keep him there? I think something like an indefinite license suspension (since he's proven he can't be behind the wheel without being a danger to others lives) and then making him attend weekly/monthly meetings at local high schools speaking about the dangers of driving while texting/eating/operating gps/otherwise driving distracted for some number of years. Mean while, let him continue his life and work so he can pay restitution to the family, and contribute to society instead of being a burden on it?
