    It would be awesome if we could hit up another track besides Jennings, but it looks like it's the most cost effective and has the most available time for us. Jennings isn't a bad track, it's just really flat. Good for practicing your left handers too. If that's what works then I would try to make it.

    I believe so, especially for teenagers. I think adults are allowed to take a call but still no texting. Looks like the Jeep faired a little better in that accident. Look on the bright side, you could've been in that car and hit by a truck/SUV.

    I was told to change the oil at the end of the season so it has fresh oil in it while it sits. Reason being something about the acids from combustion that get in the oil not sitting in the engine all winter long?

    Probably selling my 2012 Street Triple R for...another 12 Street Triple R I'm fixing up. I would love to add a supermoto of some kind to the stable. Also thinking a cafe racer is a must at some point. Haven't narrowed the search to exactly which supermoto or cafe though.

    Id probably be in again. Although I was kinda wondering what other tracks we could hit up this winter. Jennings was cool and all but I like trying new tracks. But if this is what everyone else is doin then I will too.

    Bike looks good man! I may be missing some or all of Saturday's trackday depending how my day goes. I'm in NY for work doing a job, and the "what can go wrong will go wrong" rule is definitely in effect. I need to get 2 robots running and if I don't I'll have to come back in tomorrow. Then there's the 4 hour drive back. Blah.

    Damn you Craig! And for anyone that doesn't know, the online registration is down. But plenty of spots left in all groups for Saturday which looks like it will be awesome weather. Call Todd at 866-678-6686 if you want to preregister, or you can register the day of.

    Ya you have definitely improved a lot this season Ryan. If there were a "most improved" trophy you'd get it. But there's not, so you get nothing!

    I'm with ya. It's the only kind of "racing" where the fastest person down the "track" isn't the winner...doesn't make sense. I could be a better bracket racer with my automatic F150 than a manual sports car, just because it's consistent and runs the same (slow) times every time.

    I'm on the fence too, I'd really like to go and support Todd and Moto Series. But my racing funds are running low this season, so I'd definitely need to do some ride sharing. If I go I could cram 3 other bikes in the trailer. Matt is out and jinu is on the fence so at least 2 would be open. I have a few other things going on with some travel for work next week, so I also need to make sure I'll be back in time. I'll know more later this week.

    I'm with you on this. Makes it hard to find a "class" to race it in as well. I've pretty much sworn off supersport/superbikes as street bikes. They're just not real practical for what I use them for, commuting to work, occasional rides in the twisties, etc. So if I'm looking at an 899, it's going to be as a track/race bike only. $15K starting price immediately turns me away. Then I wonder...what classes will I be allowed to race this thing in? Like Brian pointed out it has more hp than a 750, so I probably won't be racing any 600 classes. The 750 class is dying off in club racing already since the GSXR is the only 750 left. That means I'm stuck racing with the 1000's and now I'm way underpowered and in the same class with the 1199. It just doesn't seem to fit anywhere.

    I have a front tire with like 10 laps on it. You can have it. It may or may not have been rolled through oil?

    $15k base price, that's how. And I don't think HP numbers are the only thing that matters or the 848 would be tearing up the DSB, but it's not.

    Wedding usually means lots of drinks for me, so driving 6 hours after that would be kinda rough too.
