    Bike Raffle

    I'm in for a few.
  4. Thinking to myself..... "Don't get married, don't get married, don't get married, don't get married, don't get married, don't ever get married,..."
  5. I've never owned a bike long enough to find out, haha. I put about 12K on a brand new bike. The sprockets still looked fine, the chain was starting to stretch and maybe on it's way out. 15K seems like it's in that range of "time to change it."
  6. I usually go hunting behind Wal Mart, Target, Home Depot, Lowes, grocery stores, etc. when I need pallets. Late at night, wearing all black and a mask that covers my face.
  7. Hmmm, I'll have to check it out tonight. Work internet is blocking the site - no sports.... I'm not a member, I don't go to enough STT events to make it worth it.
  8. Yup, after looking a little closer it does say 115/230 V on the nameplate. 14.8A @ 115V
  9. If there's no penalty for late sign up, I'd rather wait till closer to the event to check the weather.
  10. If you really want the table saw to have and use, you could swap that motor for a 110V motor. From my experience, they don't make woodworking equipment like they used to and that is probably a sturdy one. Being that it still says "Sears Roebuck and Co." it's probably from the 70's. They dropped the Roebuck name after that. In current condition it's probably worth $100-150 tops.
  11. Practice in the morning is from 9:00-10:30-ish, First race at 11:00 and lunch at noon.
  12. I expect it to be limited production and out of my price range.
  13. I changed it once but never verified exactly how accurate it was. I knew it was better than before, cause just keeping up with traffic on the freeway it would say I was doing 80+.
  14. Now that I could see someone paying 24K for....including the chick of course.
  15. I need to get in the guinea pig armor business, $24K WTF! I guess it's for charity so....?
  16. Nice, I need to do this cause I know my speedo on the street triple is way off. The good part, after I figure out how much it's off I can correct it with some free software called TuneECU. It has a section to calibrate the speedometer if you make gearing changes. Should work to correct this too. If you have a Triumph, KTM, or Aprilia and you don't have TuneECU, you should!

    Slick ?'s

I don't think slicks are any different than DOT's as far as wear. The dimples are the same as the wear bars, so when your dimples are gone you are at the wear bars. When I was at Jennings this spring I ran a B-stone R10 down past the wear bars on both sides to where there was no tread left. (I flipped it after the 1st day) It changes the profile of the tire a little but not that noticable. I could tell it was a little slick when al the tread was gone. I couldn't hammer on it out of a corner the same as a new tire, but otherwise grip was fine. Basically, it's not like the rubber compound changes underneath the dimples/bars. It's all the same. The only thing that changes is tire profile, and you may change the composition with heat cycles, etc. Ride it till you can feel it losing grip, or until the cords are showing, lol.
  18. Free track days are always better!
  19. I think that is my goal. I'll try and be loaded up and ready Thursday so I don't have to try and do it all after work on Friday.
  20. Aside from the Supersport engine build and the suspension goodies, my bike is pretty close to being the same. And a few extra bolt-ons that I can live without, especially at my level of racing. I don't think the extra 10 hp is gonna make me any faster, just more seat time. Aside from that....LBTS GLWS!

    Honda Grom

That would be pretty sweet, but I'm not sure I would want to run a bike with a 65-70 mph top speed around any of the tracks WERA runs at. They would have to start a whole new series running on kart tracks and such. Seems like this would be better suited for something like OMRL
  22. They do it a couple times per year. Best bet is just to call them directly and ask about it.
  23. Never looked that far through the slideshow. Sounds like it was in a container that floated, that makes sense. Looks like those tires are still good...

    Honda Grom

Don't know why you say that. An automatic Zuma 125 will go over 60 mph. I would think a 125 with a 4 speed manual could hit 70.
  25. How would a Harley not sink straight to the bottom?
