  1. Thanks for the bump guys. Sales are going good, but I have a lot of tickets to move yet. Somewhere in the ballpark of 100 sold. If you want to put it on your FB John I would definitely appreciate it! I'll keep this thread updated as we get closer to the drawing. I'm hoping to get at least 150 tickets sold. If I am close but just didn't meet the goal, I might push the drawing date back as long as no one is opposed to this. It won't be much, maybe a week or 2.
  2. And nice video Ryan. I like the shot of Wayne popping a little wheely for ya, lol.
  3. Well look at it this way. (Coming from a guy who finished behind you in every race, ran 7 of 8 rounds and still could only finish 6th in points, so not trying to be a smart ass) If the guy only ran 4 rounds and still none of us were able to beat him in points, do we deserve to be class champion? The real reason for that rule is to try and encourage everyone to come to as many rounds as possible.
  4. Probably attendance is too low. I know I was planning to sign up but didn't do it yet. I think the same with a lot of others. Sucks, I was really looking forward to 1 more round.
  5. All that means is Taft isn't gonna get a trophy. Doesn't mean you get to jump ahead of him and take his spot. Trust me, Hollywood was trying his best to get Todd to bump Taft out of that first spot.
  6. Did I PM you my address yet? I can't remember and I don't have my PM box set up to save sent PM's.
  7. Ya but it might be cold Saturday morning, and R1pussy's prosthetic balls get fragile in the cold.
  8. They're just angry they didn't think to put them on ebay and sell them. That could've been 1.2 million in their pocket.
  9. Ya, if they just would come out and say we don't think you should have to wear a helmet because it's a personal choice, I'd buy that. But don't give me crappy figures to back your story. It's kinda like that person we all know who says he doesn't wear a seat belt because one time his Uncle Jim's buddies wife rolled her car and wasn't wearing her seatbelt and it saved her life. Cause she was ejected from the car, then it rolled all the way onto the train tracks, was struck by a passing train and smashed into pieces. If she would've had her seatbelt on and stayed in the car she would be dead!
  10. Yup, shitty stats to say the least. I'll keep wearing my helmet despite this conclusive evidence.
  11. I played baseball and was an all-state wrestler. I hung out with and had plenty of friends, and chased girls. I also learned the value of some hard work, and if I wanted a car, gas money etc. I had to earn it myself, my parents didn't have a ton of money to throw around. I worked by choice, and had fun doing it. The point being, the OP said his gf's nephew wants a busa, and has the means to get one. Everyone here is writing him off like he could never afford one. It's quite possible he could afford one. There's several on eBay with a buy it now around 5k.
  12. I don't know why you guys think its so unbelievable a 17 yr old could afford the bike? He likely has next to no other bills, maybe a cell phone? I paid 10k cash for a car when I was 17. Didn't any of you work? I worked part time jobs during school and full time in the construction trades over summers. I made a decent buck.
  13. Sorry to hear that Steve. Family comes first though.
  14. All I can think of in the beechwood area are chain restaurants. Or pretty much anywhere along 271.
  15. Kevin's pansy ass would have to show up for that to happen.
  16. This is untrue, there's a bunch of us that aren't scared of 40 degree temps. Plus, if its too cold in the morning, we'll all have to huddle together in a trailer and use our body heat to keep warm. You know you don't wanna miss out on that.
  17. I hear the crickets chirping in this thread.... So, 2 days away and the weather is shaping up for a good track day Saturday. Looking to be a very chilly morning, but decent high for the day. Sunday...we won't talk about that yet for the races. I'm gonna be there all weekend either way!
  18. Maybe you should bring him on this forum and show him that it's not just you that thinks this is a bad idea? Countless stories of people starting out on too big of bikes and realizing later it was a bad idea. I'm 28 and know what it's like to be his age thinking he needs to get a cool bike so his friends will think he's cool. I grew up on quads, dirt bikes, etc and I too insisted that my first bike be a rocket. Luckily I decided on a 675 instead of a 1000 or Busa, but I admit now that it was too much bike for me at the time. I actually think it's a bad thing to have experience on a quad or dirt bike and jump on a street bike. You "know how" to ride it as far as controls, the layout is familiar. It gives you a false sense of security and you feel like you know how to ride the thing. You DON'T! It handles totally different than 4 wheels, and even way different than a dirtbike. It doesn't take much to mess up and be on the wrong side of the center line headed into oncoming traffic, or into the grass/rocks/trees/guard rail/cliff. Bring him on here, show him tons of experienced riders think it's a bad idea and we are concerned for his safety. Let him know you aren't just trying to piss in his Cheerios.
  19. I travel the US on a weekly basis. Never been out of the country though. It gets old after awhile.
  20. What all does that tab hold? Just the frame slider? If that is it and nothing structural then I'd say it's a safe repair. I would also just remove the frame sliders. In my mind they do more harm than good, and if you lay that bike down on that slider it's probably just gonna break that tab off again.
  21. Rear tire warmer! I found a spot on mine that the cable is cut/frayed right where it goes into the warmer. I'm gonna try to fix it but I don't know if its gonna work or not yet.
