  1. This is true, but I know there's probably some guys who were hoping to use their tire money vouchers to get some free or discounted tires.
  2. This just in...Quentin will not make the last 2 rounds. I guess he is having vehicle troubles. Anyone running Bstones needs to make other plans. He said contact him asap and he can ship any tires needed directly to you. I don't have his contact info though.
  3. Is there some sort of post count trophy I'm not aware of?
  4. Congrats on your new venture, and new bike as well!
  5. Don't listen to those pansies Ryan. They make warm clothes for a reason. After last rounds festivities in the r**n borrowing Jinu's r**n tires, it really wouldn't bother me if it happened again. As long as its not flooding the track, I'm game! Might have to buy a set of those for myself...makes a wet day worth it!
  6. I'm preparing for a lot of these types of replies from you now. You had to go and do it, didn't you? Got a nice little weekend planned with the wifey? Gonna go to the Home Depot, maybe Bed Bath & Beyond?
  7. Most don't understand because they look at their car/truck/vehicle strictly as a way to get from point A to point B. They don't see motorcycling as an activity. Maybe if you related it to playing WoW online or Bridge night at Grandma's house they might get it? My simple answer: "Because it's fun."
  8. Steve didn't have an off, he had a launch. I gave you a 10 on the dismount, but your landing left a little to be desired, for a total score of 8.5. That put's you firmly in 2nd place behind The Murse. He wins for taking the biggest ass-packing of the year AND staying on that bull for the full 8 seconds after it all, riding it out to a smooth stop!
  9. An update on my brother... He made it back from Utah to his home in Florida on Friday. He was able to take a commercial flight home, got him on a non-stop in first class. He said it was a little rough but he made it. He will continue therapy at a hospital in Florida but will be staying at home. His progress has been great and its looking very promising that he might walk again someday. It's been one month since the accident and the doctors said he is at where they hoped he would be after 3 months. Still no movement in his calves or feet, but his thighs are getting stronger and he is able to make small movements with them. Even if he doesn't regain any movement in the lower legs, the doctors said there are braces that would allow him to walk and stand with the muscles he can move. It will still take a lot of rehab, but it sounds promising. Thanks again for everyones help and support!
  10. Hey it's going good. I'm up to 77 official sales that I have received payment for. Like last time I have another 15 or so that promised to buy a ticket, just waiting to actually collect from them. Things were slowing down with the forums I had posted on, so I had to find some new ways to get the word out. I've got a few friends helping to sell tickets, my dad and cousin are selling some down in Florida, I'm posting on a couple other forums, and bringing it to the last 2 Moto Series rounds. Hopefully I'll get them all sold by the deadline! I've also decided that if I get at least 150 sold I WILL still go on with the drawing. I would obviously like to sell them all, but either way it will be a good chunk of change for my brother. He's got a couple bills in from the hospital, and a quote for what rehab is going to cost him after his insurance runs out.....

    do over

I haven't done anything to my bike other than a mandatory steering stabilizer, and a quick turn throttle. Both of those have been good upgrades. I don't really consider the track bodywork a "mod" but if you have plans to race that should be on your list. I also hacked up my stock exhaust to get rid of the restrictions (a free mod) and added a free tune with TuneECU. Another thing to add would be a radiator guard. If it weren't for the fact I was close to home and had a spare 675 in my garage, a small pinhole from a kicked up rock would have ended my weekend very early. The next things are going to be suspension, followed by some parts like clip-ons that will help in the event of a crash. I may add a slip on, but only for the noise. And some kind of brake pad upgrade because after 2.5 seasons of trackdays the stock ones are finally shot.
  12. Unplug the fuel injector so it quits spraying gas in that cylinder? Also, a v6 running on 5 cylinders is shaky as fuck. Had a coil go out on a Ford v6 once and that thing shook the entire car like it was on hydros.
  13. Would love to go, too bad it's soooo far away. Interesting, COTA runs counter-clockwise. Opposite of almost all other tracks out there.
  14. Wow sorry to hear this. Thoughts and prayers are with you, him, and his family.
  15. I don't see the problem.
  16. I also found this simple smiley sums up all of the research and the whole point of this thread quite nicely.
  17. Good point, + rep to you. But don't let that go to your head and go getting a big ego.
  18. I do think the i3 is a great blend of torque of a twin and the high revs of an i4. I may be a little biased in my opinions though.
  19. I'm sad to see the season come to an end and I feel like But my wallet is like and it feels like
  20. Congrats on digging up a thread over 3 years old! (Don't hit me with your pillow )
  21. Nothing new to add. I have Dexter and Breaking Bad on the list now, so I'm just here to see what other shows are worth adding. Looking into Walking Dead and Weeds.
  22. I'm gonna post on Moto Series forum when I get home. Talked to Todd who runs the show there and he gave me the thumbs up. Got a couple others in mind now too that I'm not a member of but know some people who are.
