just thought i would share, yesterday i recorded a all time high of 53.6 mpg on my 05 v-strom DL1000. using 93 R+M/2 octane fuel w/sta-bil marine formula ethanol treatment. and this was no mileage run either. i ran 70-90 mph on super slab for 95 miles. then, another 80 miles on 2 lane main & back roads. including one 30 mile section that was so tite that i couldnt get any higher than 3rd & 4th. gear.

jimbo died friday 8/17/12.

the "jimbo's hog roast/biker rodeo", will go on as scheduled. sunday 9/2/12.. along with a memorial to jimbo. beyond that, i dont know.

thursday bike nite at "the pub" old johnstown rd. gahanna. its not a bad place, good prices & food, patio, band. fair size biker turn out too. another new bike nite is at "grandville tavern" gahanna - tuesday night. its a pretty cool place. $2 beer and FREE food, patio, band etc. i went last tuesday and man, it was wild. stripper got a customer down on the floor and sat on his face. i aint lying. LOL

i'm riding Rt33 to athens - smiling skull's. ETA 1:00p. then larry's dog house. finally, long way around back to columbus. ETA 5:00p

which ever octane fuel gives your bike the best mpg, is the best fuel for your bike. no b.s.. i did a 1100 mile 87 vs 93 mpg compar-0 and averaged 2.9 more mpg with the 93.
