  1. car into car is assault... car into bike is attempted murder... cops shoot the moment someone in a car tries to run into them out of their vehicle
  2. Last I checked a car was still a 3,000 pound hunk of metal being controlled by the operator... swerving into someone is assault with a deadly weapon. Flick me off, yell at me all you want... but don't try to murder me.
  3. agreed with bad and your original thoughts. for normal usage a pac (point and click) is very capable. To unlock the true potential of a dslr you need lenses, photoshoop, and learning (isos, shutter speeds, aperture, fstop etc)... and even then lots of pacs will do those pacs lack ability to modify focal lengths, that's the biggest fault I'd suggest a midrange hybrid... hundred or 2 more than a pac but still 2-6 less than a mid-level dslr

roflmao, I'm so mad I missed that ride. Being the only cruiser (usually) I'm usually the one causing the slowdown

If the weather stays good I'll ride... pegs down for our fallen riders.
  11. Sorry I couldn't make it, great support, I'm sure he was watching. RIP a brother taken too soon
  12. i want to put on FULL gear and take it to the limit... but $$$ ain't free
  13. Sorry, I should have said, how much WOULD they cost if you wanted to buy them (I realize most companies won't even sell their pro stuff)... looking at IP I'm guessing 1-2k?
  14. granda, have you had any more time to think about the situation? (if you're anything like me you've probably replayed it about 100000000 times).... Any more insight onto what you did wrong?
  15. hehe I'm not sure why it stuck in my head so hard, but during the MSF we were taught, if you lock the rear, don't let go until you stop. I was following a buddy from work and he braked hard for a light (so I didn't have to run it) and I hit an oil patch... All I could think was "don't let go, don't let go"... held that skid for a good 25-50 feet... but it felt like an eternity!
  16. How much do the suits that they wear in the pros cost? I see sparks when they go sliding and then just get up, pick their bike up, and ride away...
  17. Tru dat... the common phrase comes to mind "it's not if you'll crash, it's when"
  18. Well, I beg to differ, you've obviously good enough to slide around... just not good enough to slide around "controlled" :-D Sorry, had to, now that I know you're ok
  19. gotta get a bike suitable for the track first but yah, I sometimes "forget" I have rear brakes (2 of my friends don't even have front brakes on their customs)... as far as braking goes, the "risk" to using the front brake seems WAY lower than the "risk" of rear brake. I lean the Vulcan pretty hard, but not enough... I swapped out pegs and that gave me quite a bit extra lean, now it's just my kickstand that drags. I usually just don't estimate the turn well enough and end up a little too fast, I can put the bike pretty far over but not far enough by any means, as for leaving the turn, I usually hit it pretty hard... exiting the turn isn't the hard part it's entering it! lol There's one really nice sweeper by me that I keep pushing, but it seems no matter what I do I enter it too hot and end up having to brake a little... but this could be just me needing to "suck it up"
  20. From everything I've heard about the ladysmiths they are designed for "smaller hands" not necessarily woman (but it's easy to market it to women so that's what they did). My wife can't reach the slide and magazine release on my XDSC ... these SWs are designed to be very easy to operate, man or woman
  21. I went for a quick ride to the car dealership, if that counts... felt good, not too warm not too cold!
  22. lol sorry TR, I should have known I would have derailed your topic. At any rate, this pistol would be easily concealed in a pocket, purse, glovebox, etc etc... if the lady part really bothers you I'm sure you could probably fill that in... but this isn't a pistol you'd likely open carry so yah... concealed is concealed.
  23. If you come to hot into a turn, how do you slow? Front brake? I know, I know, should downshift and brake before the turn... but still working on that. Too fast IN the turn? Front brake still? (Street only)
