  1. Apparently, but even a Volks Wagon Bug can go off a jump. What impresses me is the suspension setup and wheels. I am not a HD fan but set up the way it is that things looks beastly!
  2. After having a POV with the view screen to aim and review footage I'd never go back to anything without a screen.
  3. I think the beginning will go something like, "Hey dudes, hold my beer and watch this!" http://www.bikernet.com/events/PageViewer.asp?PageID=2452 Even the briefest of glances at this XR reveals that it is not running stock suspension. In fact it is currently fitted with specialised forks and rear shockers, units built in western NSW by Ian Linklater of Boundless Suspensions Australia, who have developed a new shock absorber technology that they claim, “will revolutionise the way we look at suspension." Ian and Gavin Walker from Quick Fix Harley, worked together setting up the suspension for the XR by firstly lengthening the swing arm and setting it up with a number of shocker mounting points to allow experimentation during jumping trials.
  4. Very true, kind of like doing it on a GS1200adv.
  5. Nice back flip, but that thing is as close to a HD as a F16 is to a C131. I'd like to know other than the gas tank what portion of that bike is origional.
  6. Another epic fail for the justice system. Some poor, inocent 18 yo football player whos was obviously manipulated by the evil female Vb coach into a compromising situation. Please. I guess they don't have a chance in hell of catching any real criminals so this is the best they could do. When I was in 8th grade I was kissed on the cheek by a 7th grade teacher at my school, often. She would also pick me up from my bus stop and take me to school sometimes. Did I forget to mention my Mom was a substitute teacher? I guess she's lucky I never pressed charges.
  7. I still aspire to have a flying motorcycle. Taking off is the easy part, landing can be hard.
  8. KLR, the unloved bastard child of dual sport riding.
  9. :cool:Down Cujo, like i said, I seem to find the bad ones. I'm sure there are some really great and knowledgable sales men out there. Too bad their usually on coffee break when I arrive. Obviously I've dealt with some who are not so bad since I have a few bikes. But you have to admit, as with car salesmen the bad seem to outnumber the good. Directed at the OP, not you. Okay, it sounded like it was all on four wheels. I had mental images of some really funny go downs.
  10. No, just keep running into the sales people who could screw up selling water to a person on fire. Ran into one once who didn't even ride and knew nothing more than what was on the sales pamphlet. As for thinking off road riding on a four wheeler is like off roading a motorcycle, well all I can say is have fun. Can I be there with a video cam?
  11. Well, get one and come join the fun in the spring. Just make sure it's street legal. My trails don't end where the pavement begins.
  12. Dealership / stealership, ya need to put the "STFU" smack down on the sales person as soon as you walk through the door. If they lie to you once call them on it and walk out, they're not worth your time. Have you riden off road before? If not for your size you might consider a Yamaha XT250 or DRZ400S or E. Have your finances in order, then walk in like you could buy the place, find what you want (don't settle for less) and then make them work to make it happen. It's their job. Otherwise just keep checking CL over the winter. Every once in a while someone has a nice bike they "have to sell" and will let it go for a great price. You're in Troy? It's a long ride to the nearest offroading areas in OH for you and me. Might wanna consider a trailer as DS tires wear faster on pavement. Unless there is som great offroading areas I don't know about around Clark county.
  13. Go for it because the date on here is the wrong one. As far as winning, you win a free tour of the off road trails surrounding Old Mans cave, so get your knobies on.
  14. Anyone still use 35mm? I have my dad's old Canon F1n Lake Placid Commemorative with many different lenses and nice case for $500. http://www.mir.com.my/rb/photography/hardwares/messageboard/canonf1nmsg/index.php?pageNum=5
  15. Want irony? The fastest jet ever used in the military, the SR71 Blackbird, was developed before I was born! Computers became inexpensive enough for us to have 6 while I was in middle school. The drinking age was still 18yo while I was in school! I was part of the last generation to be inoculated for small pox! I was in school when the first space shuttle craft blew up while launching. I remember coming home to watch tv shows in black and white. I remember John Wayne dying. How old am I?
  16. I should hope so! I'm a lot bigger than you and mine will top 80 pretty quick. Sounds like an oversized chain saw on nitro doing it:D Scariest part is doing it on knobies, get a little rear drift at times.
  17. RIP. Obvious questions: 1.Alcohol involved? 2.Helmet? 3.Other riders witness the accident?
  18. Lets see if she actually serves more than a year of that sentance.
  19. Yeah, I saw that too and thought this is BS! Besides if I was in a state like that, please finish the job and kill me!!!! We are kinder to animals than we are people when it comes to humane treatment. There is no way I would want to be trapped inside a usless body I can no longer control while being fully aware of everything that goes on around me.
  20. Off to Moms for another socially awkward TG with the couple getting divorced from next doors. Should of told her I have H1N1 and don't wanna infect everyone. Hope the rest of you have a good time.
  21. Or Toys'R Us, Easy Bake oven cooking ware should not actually be used for preparing chicken.
  22. Or because they're losing sales to Wii and Play Station and need some good press to keep from going under? In comparison Apple is gaining sales on PC because they are a safer platform, have a better rep and arn't making a new OS every four years to cover up the mistakes of the last OS they produced.
