I think the minimum safe temp for the antifreeze at 50/50 is -20 but don't know what the min is for battery fluid. I've had the KLR out at -10 with wind chill. All I can say is be careful as those temps will strip the heat off you so fast your feet can go numb making it hard to stop and know your feet are down. Ask me how I know.

It was reported by the news the bike was "chasing the truck". I am no law expert but when YOU are chasing someone down to shoot them, I don't care if they ran you over. You were no longer in imminent danger and were no longer justified to claim self defense. As a citizen you have no right to shoot someone unless it is in defense of yourself or another who is in imminent danger. So unless the news report was wrong and the biker was the one chased into the parking lot by the pickup he was no longer in imminent danger and should have called police. I defer actual legal analysis to the internet professionals but this is how it was explained to me by a CCW lawyer.

Sounds like the motorcyclist chased the pickup down. Not sure what transpired before they hit the city limit but it doesn't sound like it will go over well as a self defense incident.

It is a Dhole (like dole canned fruits). Basically a Asian type of wolf, from what we were told, but coloring makes it look like a fox on steroids. They unfortunately weren't active and just laid under the trees. The African wild dogs were in the video making the yipping noises as they argued over a scrap thrown to them.
