  1. Oh stop being so serious. We know that Mexican Drug Lords actually owns the US. Or at least California. Canada Owns Maine and parts on New Hampshire. Cuba owns Florida. Japan Own Hawaii. Finland Owns Utah. Ireland owns Ohio, ergo our new rainy weather patterns. Not sure who owns Michigan.
  2. I keep saying we need to sell Washington DC to China. Unofficially they own it already. It wouldn't hurt my feelings is we sold New Mexico. Let the Chinese enforce the border there.
  3. And then there is China that artificially controls it's currency value.
  4. People at public ranges can be real idiots. Be very care full at them! I call the acoustic dampening devices.
  5. It's Craigs list, never pay what they post. Like suggested retail pricing. Gives you an idea of what they want, not what they'll get.
  6. Perfect timing when Stupid Columbus just dumped all that $$$ into the Arena District.

    Issue 2 works

Well, I re-reviewed all the material, watched some blah, blah, blah ploitical BS videos from both side arguing that voting yes or no would cause firemen, police and teachers to self implode resulting in death to all mankind. My conclusion is no matter how we vote we must all be doomed! But I still say for my buck a yes vote will provide the best option to review what has been done and what needs to be done. Any politician who doesn't take staffing levels seriously and has an accident, fire or crime occure will be "Fried Dog Shit" for the media to exploit. So I don't see firemen, police and teachers being needlessly laid off allowing little Zoe to parish in a horrible fire. I also hear dogma in the protests of the union leaders. The old "It's evil, pure evil" phrases that they scare their members with in dark meeting halls. Is the bill vague? Yes. Why is it vague? Because it has to be all encompassing of the little agreements, deals and quotas embedded in the local and state bylaws developed by union deal makers. I also hear a lot of people saying this needs to be a first step to forcing politicians to go on a diet. After this there's not too many people other than them selves they can point fingers at when the question of "where is the money going?" comes up. Anyways, I made up my mind. Thanks for the political insights from both sides even if in the end we don't agree, I respect your position and wish you luck.
  8. Lose the stupid windshield and get a bash plate and it would be an awsome bike.
  9. One side of me says, "That's funny to watch". The other side of me says', "Good for him practicing the skills he needs to win the next police MC competition". Both those sides say that cop busted the kids later for being stoned and skipping school.
  10. Better off road. Actually very good in the twisties too but on highway that tall bike catches a lot of wind. Honestly for touring the newer KLRs are probably better simply because of the extra cowling making them more aerodynamic. Off road the taller suspension will make bouncing over rocks much easier. The lighter weight helps too. Just be aware at heights under 5'10" you'll feel like it's to tall. At 6'4" I gave mine a 1" raising link. But like I said the extra money gets used to personalize the bike.
  11. I'm biased but the pre 07 KLRs are better. Honestly my impression of the post 08' KLR is a single cylinder wee strom with better suspension but just as much plastic. Plus side to the KLR is that they are inexpensive which means you can spend the extra money on upgrades and bling.
  12. They found out guys who own bikes spend all their money on those bikes.
  13. They did say girls, but not what age group. So I can see grandma getting excited over a Honda Civic. The Taho, Range Rover and Forester are soccer Moms and the others were hot girls who think money when they see the cars. I like girls who think my KLR is sexy. So far I haven't found any but then again it's usually places most girls avoid. Places with trees, mud, creeks, dirt and no shopping mall. :-)

    why is it..

I like to take any issue to the owner/manager and give them a chance to make it right "in my eyes". When that doesn't happen or I feel feet are being dragged I go straight to the Attorney General and BBB. 9 times out of 10 the issue gets resolve to my satisfaction shortly thereafter. If it does not get resolved I have full documentation to present my side and the business has no room to bitch about the bad review. +1 to Hob for trying to present the FULL story, but like I said I'd go to the attorney general or BBB first because now the business is less likely to try and resolve the issue because the damage is done.

I also noticed the references to the benefits that elected officials get. I don't debate they need trimmed and cut also. However, saying how well the current system works after stating all the inequity in it is not a very convincing argument.
  16. Just a thought, you may need to load the photo directly to their wall not just post a link. I know that was an issue when I tried to have friends like a video I put on Leo Vinces wall.
  17. I'm on a mac too and even after liking Yoshi can't like you photo on their wall. I try writing a complaint about it on their wall. Good Luck. I could like and comment on the post you made but not on the photo. Left them a nasty. Hope they can help figure out why your getting the screwed.
  18. Guy with a BMW told me my KLR was a cheap piece of crap. I told him it was all I could afford after marrying a playboy model. "Ride your own Ride!"
  19. Helpful things to think about when looking for gear to use when riding in cold weather. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tpd2Z_PMVBM
  20. Peoples ideas of camping vary greatly. Me a tent, sleeping bag and a day or two of cloths and I'm good. My dads idea of camping was red roof inn. The real travle nuts in my book are the ones we term "renegade campers". I've seen pics where they pulled into a truck stop and slept under a truck trailer. Worst I've done was hijack a closed camping ground in Pennsylvania for the night. Although on the way to Yellowstone me and two friends did borrow some grass in a development near some $500,000 homes. We joked about them waking up and seeing us and saying, "The Ohioans are here and there goes the neighborhood"! Found the old video of my first renegade camp out. http://s147.photobucket.com/albums/r288/luke1324/rides/?action=view&current=officialstoryofcampday3.mp4 Then later on the way to Yellowstone
  21. Welcome to the ranks of the unemployed. Should be able to find something OTR with a CDL though.

    Issue 2 works

No it is to correct the imbalance created by politicians who sold an unsustainable bill of goods. We can continue with the status quote but that will mean lost pensions and possibly more lay offs of public employees. To me at least it's a fix it now or bitch about it later issue and we seem to be delaying the inevitable on too many issues recently. To me it is also just the first step in a series of actions that our government needs to undergo.

    Issue 2 works

You sound like you haven't heard about the debt our president has built up in four years. But lots not muddy the water with comparing all the evils of the world. We are talking about the upcoming issue 2 vote and how it either unfairly effects workers or actually levels a very old playing field between public employees and government employees when it comes to pay, benefits and on the job performance. Kasichs' inability to control his own house of cards will surely be revisited in another two years should his programs fail.
  24. Link to a dispatch article on the two sides. Actually has good information from both sides. http://www.dispatch.com/content/stories/local/2011/10/18/issue-2-would-give-management-more-say.html I see Pros being 1 more control over staffing levels for changing situations 2 better negotiating for benefits and pay 3 a fresh slate for new conditions to be allowed for I see the cons being 1 a lot more trust in elected officials to do what's right vs selling out to supporters 2 possible loss of "good rules and regulations" which are important for people to do their jobs right In the end I think the bill is needed to clean out the old agreements and allow what IS working to become law, not just a agreement.
